Yankeetoker At It Again: C99 & Pineapple Chunk In Soil Under LED Lights

Looks like they definitely needed some 'foot space' and were running out of food.:goodjob: I think maybe they were prematurely feeding on their leaves. Lookin' great now.:goodluck:

Thanks, man!

I know moving forward that my "veg" soil is good for about 21 days. They are now in my "bloom" soil...can teas and foliar help if they have this problem during flower?

Oh yeah! :thumb:If you brew your tea properly it really gives them a kick. I use compost, worm castings, recharge, a little shot of iron, calcium and mag, and a little bloom stimulator (Tiger Bloom) and aerate for two days. BUT, I'm growing pretty much straight organic in soil. Your method may vary!!!!!!

Ok, cool...I'm in an organic soil as well (modified from PeeJay's mix). This being only my second grow, I'm getting used to how long plants can maintain in the soil....I am loving the results after the tea and foliar spray, and will incorporate them into my regimen (probably every other week on the tea and maybe once a month on the foliar)...how often would you recommend?

I used alfalfa, ewc, kelp, fish emulsion, rock dust, molasses, and Bioag fulpower in my tea...and alfalfa, ewc, and kelp in my foliar spray...

That sounds good to me. I think with organic teas that you can't over feed. The plants will simply use what they need. None of the nutes involved are at strong enough concentration to harm unlike the chem ferts. It's all natural just like they were growing wild, just better!:thumb: Feed the soil, not the plants!!!!!!

9/12/16 Update (Day 54 from seed)

Both plants are doing great! Yesterday was watering day (last watered 9/4) and both plants were soaked in 3 gallons of pH adjusted rainwater and top watered with 1 gallon of the same.

Lights are now 12/12 and pre-flowers are visible. .

A couple of pics from yesterday....

Rainwater can adjust PH level?

Reverse Osmosis water is nominally 7.0 PH.
Cannabis sweet spot for soil grows is 6.3 PH.
Normal rain is nominally 5.6 PH
Acid rain is normally 4.0-5.5 PH

Most rainwater needs to be PH'd up.
More RO and water supplies need o be PH'd down.

rainwater can adjust the PH of a city water supply, and vise versa.

9/15/16 Update ( Day 4 Flower/ 57 from seed )

Both plants are starting to use more water, and will need to be watered in closer to 6 days, rather than 7. Pre-flowers more evident, expect to see some action in the next 5-7 days .

Some pics from this morning and evening...

Plants are looking nice and healthy. Planning on starting an alfalfa tea tomorrow for Saturday. I've decided to ride with my LEDs since they give me more headroom....the way these girls are growing, I will definitely need it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey there Yankeetoker, saw your reply to me on Dirt's journal. So stopping in to check out your garden.
Cindy and Patti are some nice looking ladies. Looks like I got here just in time for the big show...
Here take this from a possible neighbor :passitleft:
