Great smoke report woods. I love the NL! I was smoking a couple hits of Rhino the other night and put down the bowl to go get a beer, and when I came back to smoke another I couldnt find the lighter anywere. I looked in the garage, my gameroom, thru the dirty clothes for another lighter, up on the entertainment center......everywere, but couldn't figure out were I put it. I decided that my wife took it to go smoke and ended up taking it to bed with her. I was on my way to go see if she had it when I realized I was carrying the damn thing around with me the whole time. That was about when I decided I was probably good without another hit for a while after all. lol. Thats always nice to get smoke like that (as long as your not on a timeline). Good stuff. I bet that even though Fatleaf isn't as Knock down stone as Big girl, she'll make an exellent day smoke.

Definitely sounds like a mental high more than a body high...my favorite daytime kind of buzz! Excellent smoke report, wish I had some to indulge in lol.
I know what you mean about the nagging (although my gf rarely does that, if she does it's because I'm being lazy for a long time) and then feeling mad at yourself for not taking care of your business. I find that computers and a bowl will almost always distract me from what I should be doing no matter what I tell myself before I sit down "just to check email REAL QUICK". The good news is that at least you have a conscience about it and that it's not really intentional.

Fatleaf is not as wonderful as Big Girl, but she is not a bad smoke, just a different 'high'. I'm smoking a joint of her now. Definitely a Daytime high like you said. Spacey. Thanks for the Reps my friend!

Let's not forget about the Runt! She's still 'brewing' upstairs under mixed spectrum lighting. She is finally starting to fatten up some. She will definitely be the smallest yielder. I will publish the weight results (dry) of Fatleaf and Big Girl along with some of their pics late today!
Your exactly right, It is my fault, I'm always forgetting to do things and like a kid my wife needs to remind me. Just bad timing. I also think that it is a way for my wife to get back at me for showing her dissatisfaction of me and my smoking habits and doing the extra grow. She does it subconsciously I believe. When I mention that to her she denies that she feels that way.
Big Girl is definitely not the smoke you want when meeting 'straight folks'! I've had trouble talking after smoking her because my mouth is so dry! Always been a sign for me of great smoke. All smoke will give you cottonmouth to some degree, but this stuff is ridiculous!

Fatleaf is not bad. It is a great daytime high, in that it still allows me to 'carry on' (as CSN&Y would say on 4 Way Street). It is a spacey high although not debilitating like Big Girl! Perhaps some change will occur in the cure. I seem to forget that I just chopped her 6 days ago!
Your exactly right, if your going to smoke, might as well get 'ripped'! Just don't smoke as much if ya got to do something.

I would love to be able to grow multiple strains like our own Lady Lavendar does! You could smoke something different every night for a week or two and them by that time another plant or three are ready to harvest!

Harvest Update -Dry weights for Fatleaf and Big Girl
Fatleaf was harvested 6 days ago and Big Girl 5 days ago. Both have been hang drying since. Both are with dry or almost dry stems and will start the process of curing today. After being weighed, they were placed into glass jars to begin their respective cures. they'll be opened and taken out a couple of times a day for the next week followed by a once a day 'burp' regimen for the next week. That should get them evenly dried and start them on their way to cured wonderfulness!
Dry Weights:
Fatleaf = 1.25 oz (include the few grams that were already smoked
Big Girl = 1.6 oz (also including the few grams that have been smoked)
Total weight of these two = 2.85 oz
Estimate for the Runt (dry) about 0.9 oz giving me a total of just under a 1/4 LB. We'll see!

Also, the dry mouth / cottonmouth could also be from lack of a cure. I read that much of that cottonmouth reaction will dissipate with a good cure.

Outdoor Update
Right now Fatleaf II (the second) and all the young'ins are sitting inside by the window with 50 degree daytime temps, wet and cool! Big Girl II (the second) is upstairs stuck under 12 hours of daylight with the two baby Mazars under 4 daylight cfls and the 100w MH (wish she had at least 18 hrs) No change with the two regens. I've got 4 bagseeds now in intermediate pots (did two yesterday). NL#5 seed may go into soil tomorrow.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the two regenerating plants. Definitely not ideal conditions. Ideal meaning nice warm and sunny weather outside or the ability to grow inside under at least 18 hours of light. Neither of which is the case right now!

Could very well be Joe! I don't think I had many 'cured' smokes in my life. Mostly commercial sh*t and who knows if even the good stuff I've come across has ever been correctly cured?

And I know what you mean, I've seen some pretty great smoke, but it was always a little wet still, I doubt if I've ever had cured bud before this either, and what a difference it makes doesn't it?

Could be, haven't heard that before...I always attributed it to a dry "gaseous" material being forced over the mucous membranes in my mouth and throat which in turn sucks the moisture out of them. I get it every time I smoke, wet or dry, cured for months or not.
Those harvest pics are very nice! I like how you laid them out next to each other for comparison. Good harvest weights too! Makes me think I may come close to the 2oz mark myself, good inspiration! What was your wet to dry loss percentage?

I had no clue about curing till recently myself and your right much of the good stuff I've found has been slightly 'damp'! No cure there! The brick sh*t I think is packed and squished and shipped wet for all I know!

Hey Lil here is my post fro the wet weight of each. Some stem was removed prior to taking the dry weight.
Dry wieght was 35 grams for Fatleaf and 45 for Big Girl.
I'm not great with calculation percentages, is this right:
Fatleaf lost about 73% and Big Girl lost about 69%. I most likely figured it wrong, please correct me if I was!
The Runt is going to be less than Fatleaf, maybe an ounce if I'm lucky dry. To bad, just looked at her in the scope and she has more trichs than the others. Just going to be tiny buds.
As far as cottonmouth goes, I've not eaten the stuff in food lately, but don't you get dry mouth from that? I don't remember.

As for cottonmouth from eating...my experience with eating MJ has been dismal at best, pretty much to the point where I've pretty much given up on it being worthwhile. I never get anything other than 15-20 minutes of a body buzz and then a bit tired for a while...nothing that I'd really describe as a buzz of any sort. But no, no cottonmouth when I have eaten it.

you're right woods...most of the commercial is not cured....they dry it and bag it....when i quit growing for a while i consumed others, and only rarely did i stumble on what i call "good" smoke....it will all get you there if any good at all, but the ride makes it all worth while.....took me 2 crops to get a atta girl out of the hubby....what it finally took was here, i'll get you a bag and then you can quit griping about the homegrown....which he took....and within a day or two, he was hanging around the jars, going gee, you are right...and to think i used to love this crap....followed by a honey, dont die on me, and would you fill this jug for me....he handed me a 3 gal jar....i rflmao.....told him it might take forever at the rate he smoked, but just our stash makes it half full....and boy, does he gaurd it....crazy man he is...
some times opinions are hard to change....about the one on the left, the one you like the least....it has alot of sativa in it.....all those little foxtails sticking out all over....and that is my choice...no ceiling...keep smoking and it keeps going....they take longer to cure, mho, and i usually let them go for a few months in the jars, if they dry out to much i put a leaf or stem in or sprinkle water (little) in the jar....they tend to dry brittle and crisp if not cured right...but they will still smoke ok....i just like the cure....until all green is gone, and turned to a choc. brown, and its soft feeling on the outside like old soft kidskin leather....but that takes a while....

that is quite the haul, and well deserved for all the work and labors of love that go into bringing it finally "home". safely.....sometimes its really hard to keep your mouth shut when you would love to scream..."HEY WORLD, LOOK AT THIS, NANER F'N, NANER.." BUT as we all know, secrecy is the code, and truely the only one that works....some guy here locally is setting people up with grows for a piece, anyway, my hubby overheard it at work when the guys were talking....was only a wk later, one of them was busted, when my guy was telling me, i thot well, thats a sure bust....anyway, be proud....yeahhhh my friend....later, off to the mmj mine...lavendar
