Hey Puffer! I think you misunderstood me. I don't clone anything. I will 'regenerate' the NL's outside.
Regeneration:
Leaving a tiny flower or two as low on the plant and close to the main stem as possible. Right at the bottom if you can.
Harvest first generation plant (original plant) Chop everything (stems) off the rest of the plant above the tiny buds that you left intact.
You should seal the cut on the main stem.
Outside grows: (At start of grow season) Switch to your vegetative nutes, re-pot larger or prune your roots and pretend that you've got a brand new little girl. retain only 'one' new stem and grow it like you would normally grow a plant. Exactly like a new plant.
Indoor grows: Switch to MH or daylight CFL's. lengthen your daylight period back to your 'preferred' veg hours. Now you've got what looks like a 'stump with one or two ears' protruding off it. Add a shot of your favorite veg nutes and your tiny little bud or buds will sprout brand new vegetative growth.
Indoor or Outdoor: Retain only 'one' of the new vegetative growths. Remove all but one growth. That will be your main stem for your new plant.
If you don't want to fail, read this:
Don't waste energy on any additional new grow. You can scour the internet and most people regenerate by harvesting the tops only and then try to re-veg all 35 or so of the existing bud sites. If you had a few years, that may be OK, but most of us just want to re-grow a new plant (that's why your doing it).
Harvest the original plant like normal, leaving at the very bottom of the main stem or offshoots, no more than two tiny buddlings. Very soon after they both start to grow, chop one of them off leaving only one grow site. This is your new 'main stem'. Do not waste time on two stems at the beginning. Just like a young plant, grow your three or four nodes before you do any FIM or cropping. You should have new vegetative growth within a week or two at most.
Note: I do not know which is best, to revert to your veg state indoors and then take the plant outside or like I will do (no choice) take the pot out immediately after harvest and regenerate the initial growth outside.
My 'guess' would be that getting the growth started indoors under controlled 'daylight hours' would be quicker than letting my 11 hours of early spring sunshine do it's work. You could run the lights for 24 hrs I guess. I wonder if even just 11 hours of sunlight is more effective than the 'extended' hours available indoors?
Comments:
Hi Lav, Hey , no way would I think your a 'spoiled brat'! You are a very hard worker and super dedicated. I have to go back and see what I wrote that gave you that impression? You are a 'hero' of mine (gush) You are no way a spoiled girl! If only I could grow with the vitality that you do after all you've been through. Heck If I was you, I would do the same, well maybe a 1/4 of what you do!
