Update - Flower Day 43
For the first time in their short life, I've given the girls a full dose nute feeding! And now that I can check my pH, I'm much more confident. I now have and average of 6.6 for the three plants. Full dose of FFTB @ 1 and a half teaspoons Cal/Mag @ 1 and a half teaspoons. This morning when I checked in on the girls Fatleaf and Big Girl were in full tilt wilt! After the Feeding within three hours they were halfway back and after 6 hours they were standing at attention! All three have fattened up visibly, and that includes the Runt to some extent!
The tent has a floor space of 3' x 1 1/2' and about 3' of grow height leaving me about 6" to the lights. Are you building one for veg and the other for flower? Sounds like a nice project for you guys, I know you'll come up with something 'neat'. Can't wait to see what you do.
CO, OMM and 3lions, Thanks for the nice words!
CO, that sounds like an nice adventure you got planned, for the life of me, I don't know why I didn't plant a crop up in the Sierra's when I lived out in Cal. I used to be up in the alpine country on a weekly basis pretty much from when they opened the passes till they closed them in autumn. Maybe the higher areas would not have been ideal, to short of a growing season, but one of my favorite camping areas was at just under 8000 ft. at Long Valley which is off of Hwy 108 at Niagara Creek and then on past Eagle Meadows. Lush and fertile partially forested high mountain valley. I smoked plenty of good stuff up there so my thinking must have been impaired! Could that be why I never thought of it?

Thanks for the kind words Woodsman. Both of the tents are going to be for the whole grow process. We are looking forward to doing 2 different strains at the same time and like the idea of being able to scale back to one tent/light if and when the time comes to cut back.
We've already started the build out (link in my signature). Now that my move back into my old place has been completed (all but the unpacking) we have ordered all the fittings we need and are on the final preparations for the mothers we will have to take cuttings from.
Enough about all that. I am looking forward to seeing your end results here. You are doing a great job. They all look very healthy and tasty.
Keep it up.
looking good woody, mine is less than 1 week from harvest now.
You know I've hiked all over the Sierra's but never came up on a grow. I'm sure they are as remote as can be. Yours sounds like a great spot and no chance since no path that someone could come across it by mistake! Good luck my friend!Haha must be man i've actually hiked around up there got a bunch of friends in cali and a lot of them love usin the sierra madres to get their grow on the only problem with cali outdoor growin is the mexican "drug cartels" otherwise known as DEA propaganda to go raid a bunch of perfectly good ganja fields here we have'nt gotten as much backlash yet and def not gonna be any choppers were i am gonna be you wouldn't believe the hike i took findin it man no trail, no brush clearing, and the only downhill is when youre headed out but i guarantee some big ol plants will grow perfect at this spot
Actually, the last month or two reading your journal has certanly had its inspiring moments, both on and off topic. I live in the only official desert in Europe apparently but it has been so wet compared ot normal the last 6 months that the place is lush and green right now. I was thinking "yeahhman, maybe I can grow some stuff out here, plenty of room, plenty of sun, etc etc"
Then I realised that actually there are either no dam trees and would be spotted as easily as a red elephant in the snow! or I would have to fight my way through giant cactus to reach them. (not recommended tho would be quite safe)
Wow, a good side effect to global warming!
Sounds like you got it all dialed in brother. Must be nice to be able to relax a little bit. You are the man.Update - Flower Day 43

GEEZ I would be making that field and hillside my bitch this season GEEZ I wish I had some place that pretty my patches are so much work where I live in the mountains of VA. Omg I would be topping super early have 4 or 8 main branches low stressed trained down woven around the edges of the caucti and Some of my home made (AKxLR2)x(Big Devil) homoginized to perfection checkering that hillside with polymer crystals to help with what looks like a little of a dry climate. And use just a small amount of the correct feed for both types of AN's Heavy Harvest S,S,F as needed throughout the season, and honestly briar patches are my best friends so caucti should be yours, if you dont want to go there others will not want to go there. Anyway just my two cents I understand your side as well.lol. Actually, the last month or two reading your journal has certanly had its inspiring moments, both on and off topic. For the first time in a while, I do feel better about them. Fatleaf actually was in the upper 6's so I'm glad I didn't add lime this time! Apparently there is enough in the soil now that I don't have to worry about getting too low.

Glad you like the pics guys. I was just feeling it looks beautiful right now. I am loving the indoor controlled environment and having my grow room as one of the spare bedrooms right next to me where I am sitting now. So outdoors isnt really something I expect to do shortly.
As it goes a gf of mine would like me to move over to the states, with Cali being fav as she knows I like my smoking. I dont have fondest memories of the 2 places I hae been over there, namely Virginia and Minneapolis for different reasons. Is Cali more likeable to a European do ya think?
lol you make it sound very exciting. It is something to consider in he future for sure! Once have a cple o confidence boosting grows under my belt and stocked up on the weeds that is.
Never had any doubts that you would sort it out Woodsman and glad you are feeling happy about them right now. Good vobes can only lead to better buds im sure
And shine she does my brother. Looks good enough to...well smoke. Enjoy the wife time.
