Woodsman Outdoors

Yeah, stoner threads are the most likely kinds to get off track lol.

I am a writer too, but I write non-fiction. I experience life and put myself in trippy situations and write about them. There are problems with this kind of writing though... one it is dangerous to always put yourself in trippy situations and two, lots of times crazy sex and stuff happens and you put yourself in dangerous situations with the women. Especially if they get a chance to read your stuff.

But then I met women that liked my writing and that was my icebreaker that lead to all that other stuff. Sometimes I think they want to be written about and other times I think they think I am a challenge or a horse to be trained. They are so good that I will give up a crazy life for them.

Going off topic alert! I do mention 'smoking' though!

A quote from Galadriel, "The mythology he wove in those stories is just incredible."

Authors have been trying to emulate him for years now, but nothing like the original. I read it when I was twelve and have never stopped reading fantasy since.

I'll have to go back one of these days and read the Hobbit and the Trilogy again. the last time I read them was just prior to the first movie's release. It must have been the 6th time I've read the story. The movies, though not exactly like the book, is close enough and is so entertaining that it's OK that it 'strayed' a little bit from the original story line. I would have liked more of their adventures in the Mines of Moria. I guess going up steep steps in the darkness for days would have been too much for a movie.

Interesting thought, do ya think that a vast majority of readers (LOTR) are smokers, I'm sure that's the case. More so in the late sixties when it had a renewed resurgence on the 'scene'. My bother first read it as 'required reading' in either HS or College, not sure which.

Well what do you think Tolkien is mentioning when he mentions pipe weed??? I doubt it's tobacco.

Oh the finest weed in the South Farthing is "OLD TOBY" Not Longbottom Leaf...

I was disappointed that they didn't include Tom Bombadil...

I've read them all at least 50 times, and I have the Simirilian, and the Unfinished tales...

Well it's hard to carry off filming in the dark... All you would hear is voices and no characters... LOL

Led Zeppelin also mentions Tolkien (Gollum and I think the Misty Mountains) in the song "Ramble On".

I think most Tolkien Readers are smokers, I read somewhere that Tolkien was an Opium smoker. I also think most Scooby Doo watchers are stoners

Got a Scooby Snack??? ;)

You know I was going to mention Old Toby, I just watched opening of Return of the King and you've got Merry and Pippin sitting on top of (?) commenting on the Longbottom Leaf. There were two strains then, right? About Skooby Doo, that was more my little brothers time, but the guy (Shaggy?) looked blitzed all the time!

I'm more of the older cartoon fan, the old Popeyes with Pappy and Bugs and Daffy, and even the Road Runner. Whenn I was a kid the jetsons and Johnny Quest were new and 'big'. Too bad I wasn't toking then!

Well Old Toby is in the Fellowship where he and Gandalf are smoking their pipe weed just before Bilbo's birthday party.

In Return of the King, Merry and Pippin are Smoking Saruman's Stash of Longbottom Leaf.

Saruman refers to pipe weed in The Fellowship as " Your Love of the Halfling's Leaf, has Clearly Slowed your mind" Tobacco doesn't do that...

I liked the old cartoons too, but my boys just LOVED Scooby... So I watched it with them again. Can never get tired of Scooby. Unless it was when that stupid puppy Scrappy was around...

So you tell me what exactly Pipe Weed is... From what I gather, it appears to be Cannibis...

Has anyone read R A Salvatores dark elf trilogy? There are about a dozen books in that series, very similar to LOTR. I read it before LOTR and didn't like some of the similarities at first but he is a great and vivid writer. You will either love them or hate them. I have the entire series and have read them all several times. :peace: If anyone does read them, start with the dark elf trilogy, it wasn't the first set he wrote but the first in the time line of the series.

Sounds like CS Lewis.

He wrote the Chronicles of Narnia, most retailers sell them out of chronological order too...

The second is the Icewind Dale trilogy, they list them in order inside the book covers. Let me know how you like em,he takes some time with character and story development but paints such a vivid story.:peace:

Woods, you really ought to go look at what I added to my collection in my grow thread today :) I just added two pretty good sized purple kush.

Tolkien was the man. Besides the Trilogy and the Hobbit, I have not read any other books by him. Any suggestions on where to go from here? :grinjoint:

Aside from the mythology, he is an author that paints a picture in your mind with every word he writes. I thought Peter Jackson translated the imagry from Tolkiens books rather well, even if the story is... ahem... slightly modified. Hobbiton looked exactly as I had imagined it 12-15 years ago when I first read the books.

Sorry I missed your post Odin! I posted one right after yours and didn't notice it till now.

Looks like you've been answered already about some of the other books. Thanks folks for filling in for me while I've been slacking!

You know when I first read the books Hobbit and the LOTR, I was just twelve and even then I remember wishing they'd make a movie. Later they came out with the two animated 'creations', to me seemed like they were both for children. so I waited like 32 - 33 years before my favorite characters finally cam to life. I was not disappointed at the least. Loved the movie versions and it didn't matter that some stuff was missing.

Awesome, Love Led Zep and love 'Ramblin On' thanks for the 4 and a half minute trip!

Yeah, stoner threads are the most likely kinds to get off track lol.

Good for you for actually 'doing it' Writing something. I've written articles about a different hobby of mine for magazines and even did a radio show once (I was a pro at what I did). I've entertained the thought of writing (Fantasy) for awhile now, I for the life of me don't know why I just don't 'go for it' At night I go to sleep sometimes trying to 'animate' my story in my mind, I always get stuck at a certain part and then I nod off!

As far as writing about the women in your life in 'non fiction' work, I don't know if that's very healthy! Unless they were all wonderful darlings and never did anything wrong (and of course you were an angel also). Otherwise I think I would change some names and just write it as fiction.

In my profile pic I've got Gandalf and Bilbo doing just that! I've always thought (maybe not when I was twelve) that Tolkien was referring to 'MJ' and not to tobacco which would be what most folks would think (Not stoners). My dad always smoked a tobacco pipe, still does if fact at 90 so as a kid I would have imagined it as the same. It was what you quoted Saruman as saying about 'slowing your mind' that had got my attention. Why would he say that if it was tobacco?

I have and they were strange but interesting. The whole thing about living under ground was very 'dark'. Dark Elves. I won't sy any more as GD is going to read the books. I didn't find too much similarity between Tolkien's tales and this one though. I did like the books though.

I've been waiting with millions of others for the rest of the Ice and Fire books to come out, (Martin) and of course I've read the Wheel of Time. The wife has read the last book, I've stopped on the 11th and will wait till all the rest are done. I've learned my lesson and will not buy anything that is not finished! In fact if it wasn't for my wife reading the WOT when she did, I'd have forgotten much of it. As it was, She picked it up after I was done with the last book at that time (10) and would discuss it with me as she caught up.

Martins stuff is great The Story of Ice and Fire is a great read, and I curse him for taking several years off before finishing the other books that he promised. Robin Hobbs is another great author (a woman) and all her stuff is excellent. I've read so many fantasy novels, trilogies, on and on. I've read non stop for the last 40+ years and for the last 20 it's been pretty much fantasy. Can't even remember what I've read there have been so many. You'd have to remind me for me to remember!

Sounds like CS Lewis.

Never read them but of course I've seen both movies.

A little more daylight if I remember!

Woods, you really ought to go look at what I added to my collection in my grow thread today :) I just added two pretty good sized purple kush.

I'll scoot over just as soon as I've uploaded some AWESOME pics! One of you mentioned my Bagweed #2, you got to see these pics! Got quite a few to process so it will be a bit.

Woods, about the writing.... Just write. Open up a word processor and start writing. Don't worry about anything, just be free. You can save it and write something else next time you are high or inspired. Just write a collection of your thoughts and you can go between the post when ever you want and write thing to bridge them together. You would not believe what you may come up with in a year. Even if you are never published having people that are interested enough to read it and praise you is reward enough. I have had several women tell me I will write a bestseller. I have had my mother tell me since I was a very young boy that my writing is what is going to be the death of me. I am sure you have a story or two to tell.

About the girls and the sexapades, women read about themselves and know who they are and argue about the facts with me and shit. I tell them that it is my thing and they have nothing to do with it. I have often written with true first names too. My stories are nonfiction. One lady of mine, a true F-buddy told me that I live the life so my stories that I write are interesting.

You make me so curious about what ever it is you are a master of. I guess that is just too risky to share if you are the master.

Photo Update

Fed them all today with full doses. They are all getting molasses and Tiger Bloom and of course I've got FF Flower and Fruit in the ground already and next week I'll put some more in. Also added another (2nd) dose of Azamax in with the nutes. My Bt will have to wait till tomorrow as I had some Azamax in my sprayer already and I needed to use it up first.

The NL#5 is finally budding now, but the Mazar, Runt and Bubba Kush are holding back. You can see the tiny bud in each top, but they have not erupted into 'bud' yet. Worry worry!

Alright some pics for all my dear friends! Best are last!

Great advise about just jotting down my story bit by bit. Always thought that I didn't have the right frame of mind, like in being relaxed enough to put it down.

As for my secret, wouldn't be wise of me to give it out. It involves a hobby/sport/leisure activity (all of these) that many of us enjoy, for me it was also a business. Kind of a consultant. Enough said!

Quite the collection of Beautiful Females you have there, keep up the great work!

:bravo: :welldone:

Thank you K I love to show these gals off! Nice to have ya here.:reading420magazine:

Alright I'm putting on the blinders so I don't lose concentration while I'm getting these next photos up. Right back with some nice 'nudes'!

Good enough man, everyone's security is their own business (and consequences). I have been chastised on other sites for showing my picture, describing my activities and whatnot. My thing is I really don't do enough to warrant arrest. I mean I do things that could get me arrested, but I am not making any money from anything illegal and that is what the man is really worried about.
