WOLFtick3t's Perpetual Auto Tent 2020

Gen 6 Blackberry photos from just before harvest the other day. I'll post the photos from the Gen 5 Skittelz I just trimmed later today or tomorrow. The two big girls look pretty good to me. The last one, the little one, looks over ripe. I think I'm going to have to give in and do staggered harvests and trims for some generations. Less convenient but obviously better for quality.

Blackberry #1 - one of the two big girls. Love the look of this strain. Easy to see how it got its name.

Blackberry #2 the other big girl.

Blackberry #3 I forgot to take a photo of her zoomed out. She'll be under a dry ounce I am pretty sure. Much smaller than her sisters. Probably should have harvested her a week or two earlier.

All in all very happy with them. Very mild earthy berry smell. Look great.

Alright, I sucked it up and edited everything right now :lot-o-toke: here's 3 post-trim bud photos from Gen 5 Skittelz and 3 ripeness check photos from Gen 7 Skittelz. One photo from each plant.

Bud Photos - post-trim pre-cure. The trichs seem extremely long?

Ripeness check photos. Hoping to harvest these three on Friday. Looking pretty close. The trichs on these seem pretty long too? Skittelz thing?

Thanks! Still working out the process and refining things but yes, feels good to be harvesting regularly and I’m getting quite a little pantry of dried and cured product.

Updated spreadsheet.

All the buds from the three Gen 5 Skittelz I just trimmed. One plant per plate. Now happily curing away.

Gen 8 Cream Cookies after a little trim. In future I'm going to try harder to keep the the same height. The tall girl I should have probably trimmed some of those lower buds too, but she's far enough along now that I'll just leave it.

Gen 9 Pineapple Express - three very different plants. First and second are topped but I topped them later than I should have. The second one I’m pretty excited about from a yield perspective.

Few exciting developments. Purchased a MarsHydro TS 1000 to replace my very aged and power hungry MarsHydro blurple light. Less than half the power and I am hoping a better spectrum for the seedlings and young plants than the old girl.

I also ordered an oscillating fan for the right (flower) side of the tent. planning to hang it from the roof, which should be interesting. I want a more direct breeze on the last two rows. At the moment there is great airflow through the whole tent but those final two rows aren’t directly getting enough of a hit to make them move at all.

Also dug out an old humidifier and stuck it in the workshop I’m using to dry the harvested plants. Got the humidity up from about 35 to 45-50, even though it’s not really an enclosed room. Much better. I’ve got plans for a small drying tent with humidity controls, but for the moment this will have to do. Hanging it in the tent works too, but the amount of light in there isn’t really ideal, from what I’ve been told.

Drying, trimming and curing is an area I really want to hammer on and improve at next.

TS 1000 is up! At some point I’m going to have to do something a little more permanent than just sitting on my work bench. But, good enough for now. Huge improvement in every way over the blurple.

A (bad) photo of the blackberry trim in progress. So far 55 grams from the small girl and one of the larger ones. Hoping to hit three ounces for the three plants. Would be the first time.

Really happy with the trichs, pretty frosty, next I want to focus on the density. Trying to get that up. More light? Lights too close to the plants? Different feeding schedule (too much nitrogen during flowering)?

Something to mess with.

Final trimmed dry weight from the blackberry was 80. Not too shabby. Ties my best weight and this was a lot more caked.

Moved the three new blackberry seedlings to the tent and I’ve got 3 West Coast seedlings breaking ground.

Friday will be a big day. Might harvest the cream cookies. Take photos at least. Will pop three grapefruit-o-matic seeds and might start trimming the skittelz that are drying.

Boring update.

Three blackberry seedlings moved to the tent, one looks iffy but we will see. Two West Coast OG under the nursery light inside, one sprouted but then seemed to rot? Too much humidity? Popped three Grapefruit-o-matic, should plant them tonight or tomorrow and toss the OG seedlings in the tent.

Took macro photos of the Cream Cookies. Lots of white trichs but hardly any orange so I decided to leave them for another week. No rush, I don’t need the tent space. I’ll try and remember to post the photos.

Trimmed the Pineapple girls. The big round one is a week or maybe two behind the others but they all look fantastic. Really excited. I use to buy Pineapple from a dispensary and they structure of the buds is exactly the same.

Nothing else new for now. Starting to think about doing a few outdoor girls. But still a touch early.

Got a great deal on auto seeds from True North. Happy 4/20.

40 Oasis Genetics autos (half blueberry, half purple kush) for about $140 Canadian all in. Plus a free auto cheese seed and two free fem seeds. About $3.50 a seed, compared to the $7-10 dollars seeds can run is pretty good.

Oasis Genetics is pretty new, I’m a bit skeptical, but for the price I’ll give it a go.

Trimmed the Gen 7 Skittelz. Very pleased with how dense a lot of the buds are. About 90 grams dry again, pretty equally spread between the three plants. Curing now.

Nothing else exciting to report right now. Waiting to see how the grapefruit seeds do and for the cookies to be ready for harvest.

Some quick photos of the Cream Cookie girls. Gen 8. I was hoping theyd be ready to harvest tomorrow but I think they might need an extra week. Still lots of clear and I'm not seeing a ton of amber.

They are. heavy, dense buds though, which I like to see.

Nothing much else going on for now. I could squeeze the Gen 14 Grapefruit girls into the tent and start another Gen inside. Tempting. I'll decide tomorrow if it's a good idea or not. The concern would be having too many plants needing to be on the right side of the tent at once, under the big lights.

Planning to start some outdoor girls around the start of May too.

Some better photos of the Cream Cookies Gen 8 girls. Tempted to harvest today or tomorrow but my gut says wait for Friday.

Shorter girl, very frosty. Not a lot of amber but everything looks pretty cloudy to me.

The taller, slightly less frosty girl. Little less ripe.

Cream cookies have been harvested as of Friday. Look and smell great. Hoping to trim Thursday/Friday this week. 100 days from start to finish. Longest so far. I started 4 new Blackberry on Friday as well. Just moved them from the saucer to the pots tonight.

Got a new humidifier with a larger tank. Started an inventory spreadsheet to keep track of what I have curing. Nothing too exciting.

Hoping to start some outdoor plants this week as well.

Harvested six plants today, all three Pineapple Express from Gen 9 (95 days) and all three Gen 11 cream cookies (73 days). Gen 10 skittlez need at least a few more days.

The two cream cookies from Gen 8 are trimmed and curing and yielded 3 ounces between the two, my two best yielding plants so far. Looks and smells great, much denser than previous generations.

The heat here is getting a little out of control and I'm experimenting with how to most efficiently keep things the right temp. I think I will have to switch the CMH and CFL bulbs out for an LED. Things are right around 29 C at the hottest (84-85 F) which isn't terrible and my lights are off from 10 to 2 to keep things cool but it also hasn't been above 30 C here yet and I'd best have it all figured out before July.

Some photos of the plants harvested today:

Thank you! Still learning, but getting there.

I can’t recommend the auto‘s enough. I have a pretty steady harvest and it’s nice being able to just set and forget the lights, for the most part. The cost of seeds is the only downside, but overall that’s no big deal.
