Yes it is worth it. It solves so many minor issues relating to the harvest process in one fell swoop. Also, kief! Take a look at @Jon's pic here of the kief he made using the trim tray!Aaahhh you lucky

A surplus stainless steel steamer pan and beer strainer bag only cost me $5
I have all kinds of hash
Some made from big fan leaves even

My trim tray was a gift. I like your idea of the steamer pan and beer strainer bag or variations thereof. Great idea.
The trim tray is a brilliant innovation with an excellent ergonomic design. It might cost a lot of money, but I argue that it really is worth the investment.

Hmm maybe I could make one,would need metal screen tho, right now i make bubble hash w my old faithful....
They tired tho,clogged up after many uses n now I deep clean tf outta these,they very sketchy,if not maintained mold grows,screens clogg or break ECT. Dry sifting is something I have not done much. Can I use screens from bubble bags for dry sifting? Like put keef in and skate ?

Have you tried rubbing alcohol on the bag to clean the plugged up screen? Or a stronger ISO. Soak it awhile. Just not as much surface area as a beer strainer bag
Good part is you got a choice of different screen sizes

Ahh I figured I could use it just diddnt know how effective it can be, probably the bigger micron would work better ? Its winter here so next cold day I'm gonna see how it works on small batch of bud. I forget I can edit lol sorry

I have a plan as well. We have a 12 degree F. (-11 C.) freezing spell coming in about a week, with real feel that's gonna be below zero for sure. Might as well make something useful of it.

Isopropyl Alcohol. Higher strength than rubbing alcohol. Any pharmacy has it.
I don't think it hurts the screen, unless the screen is really bad shape to start.
I have a bag screen for the Magical butter machine, and use the ISO on it to clean it. Hasn't caused any problems.
They look very similar to that bag you have in the photo.
