Winter Outdoor Grow 2009/2010

Your plants look fantastic out in the sunshine. :goodjob: Can't believe it took mr so long to drop by your grow...how rude of me. Journal is very informative and the plants again are real great looking. Good luck, looking forward to seeing them flower.:yummy:

Thanks OMM this is truly when it all begins, Lets hope they are strong enough to get through it. Thanks for stopping in and your comments are always appreciated.

arent the extreme color differences from new growth to old growth due to extreme temp changes?

Thanks Weedy, I am not sure the color change has too much to do with the temps. There is just a lot of new growth and it starts out light and darkens up pretty well. Just my thoughts not sure if true or not. Thanks for stopping in and your comments..

Thanks blacken, the mystery does seem to be a little stressed out, let hope she comes back thanks for stopping in and your comments.

Sonzor, i'm impressed by your seeds - and am going to breed a couple of my Satori for a stash of seeds. I have a question about lights - can i make a breeding area with fluorescents? i can't afford another ballast and HPS for him. Thanks. and reps for the info on seeds.

Thanks Tiger Balm, I don't see why not. I grow them like I would a regular budding plants. So you might not get as many viable seed, and it may take a little longer. But I would give it a shot. Just a opinion. Thanks for stopping in and the nice comments...

Thanks for showing me what you are doing.
I have 3 on the go, just so I have clones to plant in spring. I will be doing some guerrilla gardening or give them to others to do the same.

Plant update 12-21-09

Just a small update on some new plant info. I put out 3 clones about two weeks ago for two reasons. One was to see how they would handle the colder weather, To my surprise for such small plant with a tiny root system they held up great and have been growing slow but steady. Two so I could sex the plants before I put them in the ground. Well that did not work and I put the plants in the ground before the clones showed there sex but now the clones are starting to show there sex. I am a little disappointed that two so far have turned out to be male, The mystery, I am pretty sure is male, will know for sure in the next couple of days. The Papaya 1 is definitely male and I have a feeling that Papaya 2 is male also, which will be a disappointment for sure if both turn out to be male, but what are you going to do it not in my control. It has not shown me yet its just a feeling. Anyway they will not go to waist. I will pull the Mystery and Papaya 1 mothers and put them in pots in a safe place far from the ladies and let them develop there pollen and collect it for future use.

Took some pictures in case anyone is interested.

males oh noes
sorry to hear bro

Thanks MI- grower and blacken its not too big of a deal. It just forces me to make more seeds. The more I have the more I don't have to buy and buying is always a little sketchy for me. It also gives me more opportunity to experiment a little. Thats always fun and keeps it all interesting. Thank you both so much for stopping in and have a very Merry Christmas and a irie new year...

Sorry for the males bro, but I know you will make the best of the situation. Plants are looking very healthy indeed. You have that green touch bro. May the seasons best be with you and yours. Merry Christmas.

W00T I have finally caught up on this amazing grow! I read every detail and it is amazing work your doing! Love the chocolate skullz that is seriously kick @ass!..

I also really dig the way you perpetuate your stock, its really cool to see nearly all facets of growing in one journal. Collecting pollen? Amazing. Growing seeds? Awesome. Mad Props and +reps to an amazing grower.

Glad I took the time to read this journal I learned alot, I will be following from here on out. Thanks for sharing the experience and your knowledge.
