Wild Strain From The Midwest

Ok guys, I've been contemplating about the vertical growth of F1 and F2. When is it appropriate to back bud?
I've done it indoors but it was much later in flower and vertical growth had already stopped. I was using the technique then for weight and visual appeal.
This application would very much be to stop vertical growth.

I guess my question is; is it too early to snip the tips?
 
I don't think you should tip-snip if they're getting too tall. Just tie them down and let them start up again.
 
Alright, so I fed yesterday;
8oz Big Bloom
4oz AO Bloom
1tsp Big Bud
All in 1 gallon of H2o per plant.
Since we're in a heat wave, I also watered another gallon and a half of plain H2o.

And now I know seeing webs can mean spider mites, but I actually found the spider....
I know usually if they show up, it can mean an infestation of other bugs, my question is;
Since I'm really not seeing an insect issue, are these guys cool? Are they just advantageous arachnid? Or should I be worried?

I have a few spiders on my grow too, leave them they are fine. Plants look good but I'd like to see a bit more leaf mass. Also, one gal a week migh be a bit low. My 9 plants take 40 gal week, 4, 5 gal buckets twice a week. Nevertheless, its looking good at your place.

Haha you and me both! The crazy thing is, between all three, I've literally lost 5-6 leaves....lol
Just hope the buds fill out more than the leaves! But that's a sativa for you.

I started at a gal and was going to go up as needed, but she has never really shown a need for more than I'm giving them....which is weird, I admit. I gave a lot more than usual this water so we will see
 
Hey Waffle! Heat wave finally broke down here so it's cool enough to sit in the hot office and get an update on the journal. And I have to say that of all the plants I see yours are the freakiest of them all! I love that leggy look and I still see a constellation when I look at the pics. Love that sleeping pic with the droop. They sleep just like we do! Good on ya for tying them down and not taking a scissors to 'em. I'm sure they appreciate the love.

I like my ladies freaky!! Lol
I'm hoping these buds fill in, but I have to keep reminding myself they are atleast 10-12 flower strains so I have time!! Lol
I think cooler heads prevailed on the trim, hopefully it will translate come harvest!!

Hope you brought your comfy chair, I'm guessing F2 doesn't finish before Thanksgiving lol
I'm going to try and take them all the way to the finish, an Oregon, Indian summer might just let that happen!

It's really testing my ability to not fiddle lol

I really just would like to see these buds start blasting off. 12/12 happens on the 25th so they'll have no excuse soon!!!
I also wish I knew more about what kind of sativa this is.

The only thing that keeps me sane, is the fact hemp carries CBD. I can make lotions and shit worst case.....
I don't wanna think about it.....

The citrus smell after rubbing the stem also helps me stay hopeful.


Absolute worst case, this gets me ready to grow my favorite strain. I eventually want to find a real Neville's Haze. She can go 14-20 weeks. If nothing else this is preparing me for that long ass wait
