Why Not's Platinum Kush Grow

Here is an outside shot of the same Early Miss seeds in two different pots that were under two different lights. Blue pails and the cloth pots. The leaves are a different colour, the far right plant is bushy like the cloth one on the left. These are all about the same height. The other cloth pots are slightly smaller. Pruned them all. New light should be here by Friday.

Wife donated her downstairs heater for the Grow Shed use until the other one arrives Friday. It was only 9 degrees out side. I have it set at 15. LEDs give off very little heat. The Early Miss did not seem to mind. Maybe cut down on the air going out as heat is leaving and cold air coming in. Kept the inner room closed to retain heat, it was 12. Spent time cleaning the filter on the heater, it was plugged up big time.

Still 9 degrees outside. With the shed heater set at 17, last night the tent was at 16.5, now it is 17.3 inside the tent. What is a good temperature for the grow? I think I will put a variable speed on to the blower so less warmed air is being blown out. I expect this is a balance between fresh air to grow and ($) heat being pumped out. The Early Miss say they can grow down to 10 degrees but it would be slow, no? A few days ago I put more insulation in the shed, it's already earning it's keep. What do I aim for, input, ideas?

I’m gonna call @InTheShed over. He may could help answer some of your questions.

Magoo summons, I appear! Best I can tell is if the plant can survive at low temps, it ain't going to do what we all want it to do...produce nice fat sparkly buds. I refer you to this post at growweedeasy regarding temps for cannabis.
Vegetative Stage: Young growing cannabis plants in the vegetative stage prefer temps a bit warmer than in the flowering stage, in the 70-85°F (20-30°C) range.
Flowering Stage: In the flowering stage (when cannabis plants start making buds), it's best to keep temps slightly cooler, around 65-80°F (18-26°C) to produce the best color, trichome production and smell. There should be a 10 degree difference between night and day temps for the best results (this is especially important in the flowering stage for highest quality bud development).

Outside those ranges (indoors or out makes no difference), the quality, quantity, and ability to grow will be negatively affected.

Cranked the heat up to 20. Will pay attention to the temp and adjust accordingly.
The 1500 watt (240 w actual) LED lights arrived and are installed. The Auto Flower plants will enjoy the extra lumens. Very bright.
It is plugged into the timer now or is plugging into the daisy chain plug on the 900 watt lights a better idea?
Put heater to 22, inside the grow tent was 20.7 for lights on. Lights are on for 7 pm to 7 am because it is cheaper. I will adjust temp

over the day tomorrow and check temperatures again this evening.
Thank You In the Shed. I have read some of the articles and will read them again to ensure I grasped the concepts.
I appreciate you guys, I am retired and in a lot of pain, taking care of my girls (and the house) is my full time job. Here is a picture of one of the photo period plants in the tent, it has just been in Bloom treatment one week. Nice large bud sites forming. This is either Medi Gorilla #4 or Pineapple Rush. Stands almost 4 feet now.

Heater now up to 22, inside the tent is 20.1. I will lower the heat slightly for this their dark time. Should get the electric plug boxes mounted so there is less of a problem around the AF timer. Right now it is on 24 trying to get them finished before it gets too cold. I think I have that timer set on 18-6. Should turn off the power first, don't want to leave the planet quite yet. "This post at growweedeasy" article from InTheShed is excellent, well worth a read.
Why are Grow Lights telling us about Lumens but plant articles do not refer to lumen requirements at all? Or where is that info available?
Some of the Auto Flower have buds big enough to smoke, should be incredible in four weeks.

Mr.Magoo and InTheShed , I would like your opinion. I am allowed 25 plants but only one 10x10 shed (half is taken up with tools and stuff) and one tent 5x4' with 2,000 watts LED lights. The tent controls darkness better than the shed so all the photo period plants will go in there. I was thinking I could fit 7? The Auto Grow area currently has 7 plants and one seedling under 900 and 1500 watt LED lights.
Do you think I should hold the count at 14 plants and do two grows?
I have 5 seeds of these for both grows already, trying to plan next year.
I have Green Crack 9 to 10 weeks
Crown Royal 9 weeks
Purple Kush 8 to 10 weeks in feminized.
Purple Kush 8 to 9 weeks
Early Miss 7 weeks
Northern Lights 8 weeks
White Widow 8 weeks in Auto Flower.
Should I group the bloom times and do the longer to finish first grow? I have picked these to help with Pain and Appetite, some with higher CBDs. Was thinking to hold off on most of the Purple Kush until the second grow so the colours will come out.
Comments or ideas? I am using full Ganja Brand Nutrients.

I'd use the 5x10 shed space for veg and autoflowers (doesn't need to be light-proof) and run it 18/6 (or 20/4 if you can handle the power costs!). Then you can move your photos from the shed space to the tent when you're ready to flip those.

Light is measured so many different ways that it gets really confusing. One thing to remember is that "lumens are for humans" and plants don't care about them.

For humans, that caused a laugh. Once I understand more, the questions will get fewer and harder. Your articles have been good.
I still have 8 autos and 4 (Pineapple, Gorilla and 2 Triangle Cookies) photo period plants going. They are just beginning to smell.

Just read from the beginning and a few things caught my eye. Hope you don't mind!
That’s right doo! Wet roots don’t grow because they are content where they’re at. Thirsty roots seek out moisture. Big healthy roots = big healthy plant = big ol chunkers!
I never let the plant dry out in flower though as it's basically done producing roots and now needs a constant flow of nutrients.
As I said, buds everywhere.
Saw the shot of the stud walls of the shed and said to myself "he needs reflective material on those walls! If you can even hang a white sheet you will greatly increase the light to the plants.
Reading up on drying and curing of buds. One gentleman has a moisture meter inside the glass mason jar he cures the weed in. Keeps up on the drying until hits a certain point. He called them mini. Any idea on where I can get?
I know you already bought some but I got these from amazon and they're cheap and good:
ASX Design SUKRAGRAHA Mini Digital Temperature Humidity Meter Gauge Thermometer Hygrometer LCD Degree Celsius (C) Display Black
Just got a replacement of my first Purple Kush order with Crop King. Two of five did not germinate, the other three were drown, we had a flood. CK also sent some Fem AF Purple Kush to try out. I am impressed. Rolling papers, no lighter. Third Crop King pin.
My friends are not impressed with the CK rolling papers if you're looking for reviews :).
There is a hydraulic press at the Grow Shop, I would love to make my own shatters etc.
QWET is a lot cheaper and more efficient in terms of getting all the cannabinoids from the buds. Great tutorial here from Grandpa Tokin!
Grandpa Gets Oily! Everclear Extracts For Shatter Or Oil!
If you are using nutrients to grow, how long a flush is advised? I have heard and read 1 to 3 weeks. Four more feedings.
The dog chewed Early Miss seedlings are slowly improving. The others look cute, little plants. The Purple Kush seedlings are still slowly growing, only one has leaves, one erupted and the final one still hiding. These are all auto flower.
Nice work Magoo!

Sorry to intrude but I had thoughts when I read those and I'm prone to jump in when I can :).

Hey Shed, or are we on a first name basis, Hey In, Read through the shatter with Everclear, How much weed did he use, How much alcohol and How much end result? Does not have to be in stone. Thanks InTheShed

Call me Shed! I don't know how much bud he used but I think you use enough Everclear to cover the bud and then another inch or so. How much bud is dependent on what you have. The more you use the more rosin you end up with! You can ask Grandpa in his thread though...he's good about answering all questions.
