White Widow Halloween Grow With 315 Watt CMH Light Journal

Well I'm glad to say they are all doing much better. This whole time I thought I was overwatering which it really looked like I did but in reality I was never giving them enough. At least not lately. Feel like a dang fool.

I cant believe it. I was so paranoid watering that when I seen run out I was like "shes good grebs. Don't over do her". Turns out I was only teasing her with what ever water she was actually getting. Big thanks to everyone who helped me out Autoflower420, Kriaze!! Dub, Bird. Much love. Super big thanks to MajorPITA for showing a pic of you dunking your plant. That pic prolly saved these plants!

Better late than never. Only 1 month and 10 pages behind. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Your not missing much Major PITA. Most of the pages are me fighting with watering issues. Turns out my issues may certainly be the complete opposite.
People are like weigh it, Poke the soil. I'm like its dry! Its dry everywhere! I even poked my finger up through the bottom hole and it was dry there too! I just went with it and figured there was water somewhere. I was convinced I was overwatering. Think everyone thought I was.
Hopefully now things will start going my way and these babies give me a break before I stress out too much lol.

At the least it shows cannabis can survive being too way too dry much better than being a little too wet.

I plan on giving them a proper dunk when there rdy. They only sat in an inch or 2 while I top watered them and was really only in the water ten minutes max. Next time ill have them sit in deeper water. Not convinced every part got wet. Very hydrophobic soil. Today I picked up some perlite and a bag of FFOF. Going 2 parts FFOF 1 part perlite when I transplant them into 3 gallon smart pots

Grebs,
I'm using the 630 which is just like your light only it as two 315 bulbs. This is my 1st. full grow with it, but I can tell you, don't get much closer than 2.5 ft., from tops of plants. Runs a lot hotter than advertised !! That's a lot of light for new starts. Get an extraction going soon as you can. And I wouldn't be spraying anything on the leaves . I'm subbed, and if there's anyway I can help you, I will.
I'm on 26th. day of 12/12 today, so stop over and check it out. just posted some new pics. !

Grebs,
in my case it was too late when I discovered light was to close. Trics were already turning amber (ie like 70%), so the only solution was to harvest at like 6 wks., into an 8 wk. bloom period. so I only got 10 ozs, but I was educated !! So this grow I eliminated the hanger that comes with it, and chained it to top of tent, 3 inches from top of (6.5) tent, so it was like 4.5 foot from the 7 week old clones , when I started, and now it's about 3 ft. from canopy, stretch is done and I'm feeling good about it at this stage !! But I think the one 315 bulb should be able to be at 18 inches, if you can position a fan, blowing across the light spectrum. Like I say, I've been burned once, and not I'm very pernoid about getting any closer to canopy, but I'll say one thing, It puts out a ton of par, from way up there, and everything is growing and filling out nicely. Gotta remember, I'm only 26 days into bloom.
If I was you, i'd hang that light about 3 foot from the baby's, or I'd more likely put them under my t5s or cfls, as that's all they need at that stage. We're like the minority, using these lights, and like I say, the jury's out, and if this don't work out, I'll probably go back to hps . And this will be just another expensive mistake !! Ha !! let's hope not !! This is the fan I have positioned to blow across the spectrum.

I'll be watching your baby's grow !!

Have you considered using a pipette to water babies? 4ml applied directly to the base

:welcome: to :420: Dogwash!

I hate to start off by replying this way to your first post, but IMO, that is the worst possible way to water cannabis at any phase of a grow.

It is impossible to over-water cannabis during any single watering session.
I always put new seedlings into a "bath" so they soak up as much water as possible. I water from the top at the same time until the grow medium is completely drenched and saturated.
The problem most new growers have comes from watering too often with small amounts of water.
