That's the hard part ,did u know a strains name is a huge factor in sales.

So call it Big Dick McGrue's Favorite Strain. When people ask who he is/was, spin them a yarn. Then get three lightweights to try it; that ought to give you a couple glowing reviews and one shorted out keyboard from all the drool. That'll set you up for a couple years so that you can get creative with your breeding/production, unless someone screws up a grow and complains about it online somewhere - in which case, a week later there'll be 34,000 negative reviews about how it's no good because five percent of them read the grower's poor review... and the other 95% read where those 5% were discussing it.

At least that's how it seems to work. Find 20 people complaining about a "sh!t" breeder, and only one of them will ever have actually tried one of that breeder's products. And that's, you know, on a good day.

Or maybe I'm just having a bad one?

Makes me glad that Nukeheads is pretty new to the scene, lol - there aren't any previous negative reviews for the mouth-breathing masses to parrot as their own. Hopefully, there won't be any in the future, either. (Maybe that's why some people complain about silly stuff? IDK...)

Lol you commented on a thread to complain about how people complain for no reason... for no reason. people are allowed to have their doubts about a new company anyhow.. you sure cant control what/how people feel... Hell I have my doubts too... but im just going to wait until they have actual unbiased reviews/journals on the net before making my decision on whether to try them out or not. When some new company comes up and says they have the best strains and they arent going to tell you anything about them but they are the best and they list some very over the top strain descriptions which I just find cheesy as hell and the over the top "testomonials" no better than the fake negative reviews lol I just have to wait until I see journals from people who actually buy these seeds lol everytime nuke logs on its oh we are so busy we sold so many seeds today! So im sure we should be seeing more and more journals pop up eventually from some of these people buying the seeds.

There was a banana strain they called it banana og and it wasn't selling so they changed the strain name to Chiquita banana and sales went through the roof .

Well I know that when I stopped in a dispensary in Washington State, I looked at the strain list (this was long before I really knew anything about strains or cannabis in general) and I was overwhelmed. Then I saw it......ALASKAN THUNDERFUCK. I mean why the hell not!! So I bought it solely based off the name and not knowing anything about it. Why wouldn't anyone want to smoke some Thunderfuck?

Lol you commented on a thread to complain about how people complain for no reason... for no reason.

I had reasons, lol. I cannot say whether or not they were good ones. Among them - and in no particular order - are: My fingers needed the exercise. In the short time this company has been a sponsor, I've already seen it get more grief than some seedbanks got over the course of a month's time in the past when they were complete scams (buy hempseed by the pound, sell it by the ten-pack, lol). And I felt like encouraging PlantWrestler in a humorous way - but this hasn't been a good day, so the humor probably didn't make it.

Yes, I agree. And I have approximately the same level of doubt - and cautious hope - that I have with any new company.

When some new company comes up and says they have the best strains and they arent going to tell you anything about them

With apologies to this sponsor for mentioning another breeder: I just had a look at Sensi Seeds' descriptions for three of its strains more or less at random (Jack Herer, Ed Rosenthal Super Bud, and Mother's Finest) and didn't see any concrete lineage information in any of those strain descriptions. And I'm aware that this isn't the only other breeder who keeps some information private.

I know the formula for Coca Cola is out there - but I'm guessing that it wasn't the company who released the thing.

but they are the best and they list some very over the top strain descriptions

Yes, this seems to be quite common. I don't know that I've ever seen ANY strain description in which the breeder stated, "This strain is absolute shite, and I don't know why anyone would even consider purchasing it," lol. In fact, it appears that every breeder is at pains to state something positive about each and every strain in their catalog. How odd, eh?

which I just find cheesy as hell

In truth, so do I. I also find "news" programs that discuss the latest whore's @ss size to also be highly annoying. But both of these things appeal to the mouth-breathers, and they do spend money, after all.

and the over the top "testomonials" no better than the fake negative reviews lol

Again, I agree. I'm even willing to assume that those get left by newbies who haven't grown at least a dozen different strains of varying quality and, therefore, even an average strain would get a rise out of them. But still... Yes. I usually try to discount both the most glowing AND the most negative reports about any business and/or product. Then, I go by the median or the mode instead of the mean. That generally seems to give me a more accurate picture. (But, as in all things, there are no real guarantees in life, lol.)

I just have to wait until I see journals from people who actually buy these seeds

Yes. PlantWrestler should do well if the strain(s) he is growing are of any quality at all. I've lost track of who else is growing this sponsor's products (and using its nutrients), but I hope there is a range of experience represented - from the expert grower all the way down to the clueless newbie.

Unfortunately, it's the same thing as when I look at the latest seedling I sprouted: Have to wait a while to see what happens ;) .

everytime nuke logs on its oh we are so busy we sold so many seeds today!

That's awesome. Since part of their budget is now going towards supporting my favorite forum, I hope they sell a lot more. I do find the "We... are the champions, my friend!" attitude a little much - but I just pretend they're from Holland, lol. They don't seem to go in for false modesty over there....

Don't worry bro the humour made it ,and wow you have similar thoughts on all this aswell

I feel like you guys were hovering in my head listening to all my thoughts, documented them, then typed it out here.

I don't read people's thoughts - I just get in there and implant my own, lol. <~TS~ RUBS HANDS TOGETHER WHILST CACKLING MADLY>

BtW, those of you trying out the wares (sponsored or on your own dime), please report germination rate, condition of seeds when they arrived, and whether or not you felt the packaging was safe and secure (no specific description of any "stealth" methods, please!). I assume everything was fine, but "just for the record" and all that....

That one been around since the late 70's or early 80's, back when most of the names were the Country it came from for the most part ;)

As so many on this site will be, I'll be watching to see how things go. I have a vested interest in any strains which help with back pain, as their aren't too many. My friend Van Stank is a sponsored grower, but I know he will give me the best advice and his honest opinion to help a brother in the same boat as himself "pain wise". We all have our reasons for growing this amazing plant, I just wish I had no reason, lol. Ahhh hell I'd grow and smoke it anyway, lol. You guys seem to have really done your homework. Glad to see that you participate in the forum......more than I can say for a lot of sponsors.

Wish I got me some free seeds for next grow, but whatever, lol.......Let's see what these girls can do!

I am sure you will get getting some seeds when some Thunderfuck seeds are done!
