How long until they back door taxing us by the plant? Give their new tax a few years and they will be boasting about how much money it has raised. Then they can say 22,000 (making the number up) people in MA are home growing $50,000,000 worth of herb and are not paying taxes thus cheating the fine MA tax payers out of $$$$$$$$.
They might as well start taxing vegetables , then tax every home gardener for every tomato they put in their salads , and how about instead of 28% tax on herb do 14% on herb and 14% on alcohol? No one pays tax for fucking alcohol which is ridiculous!
Or I'll pay 28% for herb if you lower the damn gasoline tax Massachusetts !!! They get $0.24 every gallon!! That's absurd !!

You are grossly incorrect on your comment on taxing alcohol Phil. It has a federal excise tax of $13.50 per gallon and a state tax of $4.04 per gallon on spirits. Beer and wine are taxed at a lower rate. Why do you think the government cracks down on bootleggers.....they miss out on a bunch of money. Be thankful you don't live in Washington State, they tax a gallon at 33.54 per gallon in their state. Let that sink in for a minute. If you live in Washington State and you want a gallon of Jack Daniels, you are paying 47 bucks in taxes, without even talking about the cost of the product.
New Hampshire doesn't tax their liquor at all (as well as Wyoming). They are the only states that don't tax on top of the $13.50 federal excise tax.
There was talk about having home grows register, but I dont think it made it into this bill. But, like you said Eeko, its only a matter of time.
I just meant the consumer isn't charged the "tax" the merchant is - I know it's passed along to us in the price but there is no sales tax on liquor in ma.
Whassup? Nice to join you all!
I've got a 8'L x 4'W X 78"H tent with (2) 1000W HPS bulbs. They are heating the heck out of my tent, even with an AC in there. My ambient room temperature is pretty hot these days and I'm wondering if I can cut back to (1) 1000W HPS light for the last week or two of bud?
Anyone have any thoughts???
Thanks very much.
