What's In Jim's Grow Room?

So I think I probably will not flower any more plants in one gallon plastic pots....or fabric for that matter. It just doesn't appear to be worth it except that I've turned into a bit of a pot snob and enjoy doing those seed runs even if they only produce 35 or 40 seeds. Since I've been growing there really was only a short period that I spent a lot of money on seeds. I've been very fortunate to have a few friends that wanted me to grow some of their seeds.

I smoked a small ball of the ATF x Jellium scissor hash last night. The terps were amazing....amazing I say. I don't have a clue how I could explain the particular aromas produced by burning pure resins. The hanging plants today smell of a sweet meat perhaps mixed with a conifer forest. There's not a hint of berry or melon here according to my old nose.

TK 91 and Jellium are left in the blooming tent. I was wondering what scent the TK 91 was putting out today and I'm just going to classify this one as cheese and dying flesh. Yuck. But maybe this is just a phase. There have been a few I've grown that pass through a week or so that smell damaging and clear a bit near the end. Her trichomes are moving from clear to milky yet she has some clear trichs topped in amber on areas away from the calyxes on older sugar leaves. She might be ripe by next weekend.

I don't know what Jellium smells like because I really didn't want to get on my knees early this morning. So here's what they look like today.

Started my day with Jack Herer then progressed to the UD #5. 600,000 folks without power in Louisiana. Pray or provide comforting thoughts for those people. :Namaste:

So I'm reminded that time just keeps moving on and I should make some room in the overflow tent to start at least 2 or 3 seed plants. I don't know that I gave my best effort here recently but I sure did enjoy the resulting fresh buds of the Carnival that I sent to my friend. I've smoked some of her Carnival before and although I thought it was good it just didn't hit me as one I'd be interested in growing until I tasted this last one. I really enjoyed the pep that it had. She said the smell is extraordinary and 2 hits makes her arms tremble. At least the quality was on point. I only had that one bowl and shipped it out.

It was such a weak grow it only yielded a bit over 20 grams so it only lacked in that area. Keep in mind that my 2 gallon softies limit yield....at least in my tent.

The Carnival got up-canned and moved to the bloom tent just a few minutes ago so we're off and running there. Carnival is bred by Ministry of Cannabis using a Haze mother and a secret sauce sativa father. She's supposed to lean 80% sativa and is advertised at 23% THC. This particular phenotype had just a hint of variegation. Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil topped with ground mosquito bits as the gnat larvae came included.

Joining her is a copy of my Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry. This one is just a favorite of mine and if you ever get to try anything crossed with the Alien tech - grab it, smoke it, enjoy the relaxation it offers. The cherry phenotype is gravy. Anyway I did my best to cut the tips off to promote a bit of branching and I'll up can it soon if I don't get to it today.

Crappy picture but you can see the variegation. I always think of this as a Chem influence.

No male pollen this run. I had thought I might reverse a few of my favorites and make some S1 seeds so I wouldn't have to keep moms and clones running all the time but I just want to concentrate on growing something without having to deal with that summer heat

Truth be told I got a little paranoid having that plant in my back yard and she probably wasn't going to do much in that cheap soil. Every time I gave her a Budswel tea it would rain for several days in a row so I was pissing into the wind.

This morning I decided to check those shrinking colas. Lemon fuel is bright and I picked 8 beautiful mature seeds out and hung that one back in the barn. Some will know that feeling of satisfaction finding those seeds and knowing that more will be found. 2 actually just fell out without any prodding. :slide:

This Carnival and possibly the other two Ultra Dog phenos will need to be harvested. So tomorrow I'll take the Carn and UD #6. I know she's ugly and I hate that she burned a bit but that's just part of a summer grow.

Have a great day folks. Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry for breakfast here.
Awesome stuff buddy. Chem anything winner in my books

Thanks Joe. Some of that stuff looked ugly as home-made soap but the produce turned out to be excellent. The Carnival got rave reviews so this phenotype is definitely a keeper. I was really impressed and will give her another play in my jukebox world of cannabis. It gave me one seed. One. Father could be Ultra Dog or ATF x Jellium. Both of those strains are at least a hit on the 10-ring. I don't know what else to say. Another successful grow even with the heat adventure.

I'm surprised that you have any free time. Good to see you buddy. Platinum Garlic to be dropped by US election day. She sure looked positive in your garden.

:green_heart: Fresh ATF x Jellium is in my bowl this morning. My stomach is growling too.

High Woody and everyone.

Early voting started yesterday in North Carolina. I went yesterday and I became claustrophobic in the parking lot. It might have had something to do with whatever it was I smoked yesterday morning. Never even found a place to park and just left.

This morning I smoked some Garlic Sherbert grown by @beez0404 and went back to the polling place this morning in the rain and finally voting after being in line for about 25 minutes. I spent quite a bit of time talking to a District Court Judge afterwards ---- just to get to know the fellow --- just in case. I saw one guy without a mask.

There are plenty of amber trichomes on TK 91 at 68 days but she's not done. The vomit scent is sweetening and fading a bit with some citrus. Actually, I think I'll know by the scent when she is ready. She's been on a straight water diet for about 10 days now and that will continue until chop. Week 11 is looking like a prime harvest time frame.

Jellium I like this one a lot but final product of the last one I grew is just a bit harsh or the first hit under flame. I'm going to roam through my written journal to see what I might have done to cause that. It might just be harsh weed. In any event, this one is getting her nutes on schedule and her branches are getting a bit heavy. She's getting little bamboo sticks and wire support where needed.

That's all I got today folks. I've been busy knocking seeds out of the ATF x Jellium harvest. I'll have more details about that part of the project in a few days. :bongrip:

We have a voting poll at my church. I got there about 15 minutes after the poll opened yesterday and was third in line. A quick in and out.

One day last week I took the bottom 2 branches from the TK 91 and although the buds weren't quite dry I popped a piece in the pipe this morning for a test drive. She's a very smooth toker and smells of spruce and citrus which is a bit different than the growing plant today. The plant has moved from puke to a lighter almost lemon. I'm getting my share of lemon from this run. This one has a bit of licorice flavor on exhale. I'm hoping the end product retains this little treat.

Anyway the hit is mostly forehead and creeps just a bit. I felt the first hit about the time I took the third pull. 3 tokes was plenty and gave a very relaxing body high which isn't couch lock at all. I ended up taking care of most of the work things I had put off all weekend. So she has a little energetic feel to go with a really nice high. I like this one as it doesn't prevent me from driving around.

The buds have swollen considerably in the past two weeks and still display those newish pistils. Trichomes are amber on all old sugars and calyxes. They are milk white and I'm likely not to wait many more days before the chop. I'm thinking a couple of more days and I'll take her down.

These close ups show the orangish hairs better. She's getting close.

Jellium is just filling out a bit. She's being a floppy thing but appears to be growing flowers really nice this run.

I think it's been a while since I shown the overflow veg tent. She's crammed full of moms and clones. I'm trying to get Sour Angel (front left) groomed a bit and she may just move over to the flower tent later this week.

Man those tk plants are huge buds nice stuff bud.

Those TK plants are some hairy girls. I think she would continue to grow new white pistils till she died, some plants just do that I've found. Great looking plant she is.

Some pure Sativas never really stop growing. Some of them never develop amber trichomes. I think it was @bobrown14 who said he harvests when he sees nanners .
I'd like to grow a pure Sativa. Off the top of my head I don't remember what the trichomes were like on the Panama I grew and harvested at 10 weeks. Oh well.

TK91 has a down side. I smoked it two days in a row from lower branch end buds taken last week. In the final analysis these have a very nice active high but coming down in the middle of the day brings a couple of hours of sleep. Perhaps at age 70 I just needed that but I thought it was noteworthy.

After checking trichomes this morning I've decided to take it in 2 days. Scent has morphed into sweet fishy floral today.

I saw something this morning that I hadn't seen in a while....a school bus. It turns out face to face school started here yesterday.
