It is alright, I get sick I get better, it's a cycle. Used to it now...

She's adorable and she has excellent color! Did you mention if she was an auto or photo, I didn't catch it or my memory has taken a walk somewhere. I love when their leaves do that little sway. Is she still in a small pot? Looks like a starter cup but I can't tell if it's that or a 1gl

Thanks, Krissi. She's a photo and she's in a Solo cup still. I'm planning on uppotting and topping them next weekend when they're a month old. I will also be adding 4 new seeds in water.

16 weeks was long enough but It took me a few trim jails to to clean up 22 oz by myself 😓
So I took it down in 3 sessions . also helped some of the smaller buds get bigger
It was a loooooong trim jail 8-10 hrs that gave me a headache & backache each time

Maybe you should have invested in a bowl trimmer. 22 ounces done manually alone would have been brutal.

Usually it's just me and bestie. Moving forward, I think the two times we got help is long gone. I feel you. It was enough for me trimming 12 ounces of G-13 by myself. Especially that was the night I saw the big jack Widow hermied and hit my gelatos. I was not in the mood. Took me 15 hours but I did it straight through. I thought my shoulders were literally on fire
@Brewsterman dannng.... Trim jail has it's perks. But nobody loves headache and back pain. Good clean up tho. . . Had to make it hurt a little less. Need some trim elf's. Like elf on a shelf that time your bud.
Can I get one on Amazon?
Hmmmmmmm.... I think I just realized Im a lot closer to him than I had thought. *multiple gears a clanking*
Literally lol vroom vroom
It that bit of chaos and independence that the ruderalis brings! I love how individual they are. Never know what theyre going to be like in some ways but also know that theyre just plants who need love, attention/nourishment and maybe some training. Just like people I guess.
Yes! Just like people, have their own personalities for sure, heck, look at Curly now-who does she think she is being all different and stuff. Shining that very interesting green she has. Have yet to have one that color before...
I look so very forward to the ~3 months to come!
Me too!!!
I tried and tried and tried I cant see a damn thing splashed nutes wise. Quit worrying, youre a good Momma! Larry will be just fine!
It's there. I swear it. I think now it may not be nute splash but maybe yucky water splash from the humidifer? Idk either way it's a few little spots. None of the other girls have it and she is the one directly in front of the humidifer-I have to pick it up and over here every time. That's all I got. I think maybe, it's that?
The secondaries on Curly! Oooooooh o_O:cheer::cheer::cheer:
She's something this little girl!
Highya Krissi,

Love how vibrant the ladies look today! Their green color with the crisp serations look so vibrant!
thank you!! They are doing well!!
You may want to look ar Mo. I saw the top two petioles are darkish red. The first sign they need some phosphorus. I use bonemeal, but I'm organic.
I see that! Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought that it is a phosphorus def if they turn red AND there are yellowing leaves? Am I wrong to be under that assumption?

I read up on it after I saw this and I saw maybe it was a light stress or some other stress. I checked the PPFD and I don't know what I did, must have hit the Dimmer some while I was trying to get towards the back of the tent to refill the humidifer. It was up to 90% and was hitting them with 575 as opposed to the 450/475 I had them on.

Today, I took a pic of that petiole and I think it is less red? What do you think?

Do you ever think about trying to improve your overall health, for the long run? Just asking. Hope you get a lot of rest today!! Happy Smokin'
I do. I am an unhealthy girl in a healthy girls body; if you saw me you would probably think I'm a body builder. I've had these elevated tumor markers in my blood work for almost 3 years now, no one knows why. Been to oncologists and no one wants to give me a full body scan and radiate me all over. I feel like if we got to the bottom of this, I'd be feeling a little better.

Thanks for noticing the petioles on Mo, you know I like to be proactive and you have helped me do so and also know to look for that in the future!
Thanks, Krissi. She's a photo and she's in a Solo cup still. I'm planning on uppotting and topping them next weekend when they're a month old. I will also be adding 4 new seeds in water.
Oh yaay! A big Blueberry girl to come! What else is coming up or is it a surprise!!??
Maybe you should have invested in a bowl trimmer. 22 ounces done manually alone would have been brutal.
The bowl trimmer. I feel like that would destroy the pretty buds I worked so hard to get. Do you use one HG?
Brutally pleasing ;) 🔥:dreamy:
Oh boy thank you so much! Brutally pleasing...that made it seem so much better!

DAY 21

So all of these girls were thirsty this morning. They got 1 solo cup of nutes and the rest silica water.

PPFD was up to 575 as noted above somehow and I dimmed that back down. We are now sitting at 475 for the SSC girls and 500 for my Deelite.

HUMIDITY/TEMPS are up and down. 54-60% humidity and 75-84 degrees in the tent. I am in here adjusting the humidifer like 3x a day.
Weather here has been up and down so that's why we see this in the grow room.

For all of you that missed it in this journal's intro, the grow room is not connected to my central air or my oil heat.

This causes fluctuations in the summer. In the fall/winter, I really like that cause it stays nice and cool in there for colors and if I kick the radiant heat on, it helps me increase the humidity that drops in that room come these seasons. Summer time though, ugh. It's always something to monitor.

What else can I note? Umm, idk I think that's it for now. At 1 month from up-pot, they will be top dressed with their soil amendments, I call it their "booster shots".

Have a great day!

Highya Krissi,

Mo looks much better! Just the appearance of red petioles (not necessrily yellowing leaves) Is the first sign of phosphorus deficiency. Glad to know too much light can do that, too! I also wanted to mention I love your 420 troll overseeing his domain!! Fun to look at! Hope you're having another great day!! Happy Smokin'

idk if it was just the light Bode, I'm glad you said that. That's why I want ahead and gave then a Solo cup of feed today along with their water, just in case! But yep, apparently any stressor can cause that to happen. So much to learn every day, I had no idea!
I also wanted to mention I love your 420 troll overseeing his domain!!
He was a great buy! So glad I got him, he is better than having a Doberman in there!
Fun to look at!
That was probably my original intent on buying him :thanks:
Hope you're having another great day!! Happy Smokin'
Today is pretty good, I hope you have an even better day though!!!!

Thankful for @Bode who drew the attention towards Mo's petioles-something I hadn't even thought about as a sign of anything nonetheless a possible Phosphorus deficiency!

I think the extra feeding today has helped not just her but all of these girls.

20220909_203139.jpg

People always have a certain time in the grow where they are most cautious and weary. For most I find it's flower and getting the most out of it. Another majority seems to fear the seedling stage. For me, it is this vegetative stage of development that draws my upmost attention and care.

20220909_203134.jpg

For it is, imo, this stage that stages what will come in flower. This is the stage that determines the plants overall health and fitness.

At the signs of any small thing, I've been known to be almost a nuisance to myself in double and triple checking-but I don't think it's for undue cause.

So tonight when I checked, yet again, on these and saw that they looked happier than I had left them before, I knew I was doing something right. They seem to be praying more and their colors even more vibrant.

20220909_203116.jpg

I never know, I am forever humble in my growers expertise. I shy away from large conversations still because of my newb status. At times, I don't feel like I have much to offer other than my realness. My raw growing. My roll with the way the tides take me approach.

For that, I'm happy to be able to offer something to this community. To all the seasoned growers, I'm happy to be able to continue to learn every day from all of you

Have a great night. It will be big girl move day for my Cookies Haze will leave the tent and some rearranging needs to happen.

Salute! :passitleft:

Highya Krissi,

We're never too old to learn new things. Wanting to do a better job is very commendable! In fact, it's the reason we have a better quality product each time! And humility is a key ingredient to learning!! Never lose the humility!!

Your girls look more vibrant indeed! They look like they could be a poster for how to grow cannabis!! Fun to see the indica with her lighter green growing along side of the two sativas. You're doing great, Krissi! Happy Smokin'

@Bode x 2 on cannabis posters. @420 featuring @Krissi Carbone

It's funny. I did some recon in her threads. Says she uses a phone. Practically identical to mine I believe she said Samsung a71, and I run s21+. Same camera specs. My pictures look nothing like hers. The funny thing is I take pictures for work with my canon PowerShot. Still don't look like hers. FML lol. I sat here yesterday .messing with all my setting on phone. Admittedly I have used my camera on this new phone like I did on previous phones....

Oh yaay! A big Blueberry girl to come! What else is coming up or is it a surprise!!??

No. No surprise. I've already posted it in my journal. I'm currently growing 2 Blueberries, 1 Northern Soul and 1 Chronic x Northern Lights. Next up is 2 Jack Herers, 1 CB Dutch Treat and 1 Raspberry Cough. I have a bunch of plants outside, too.

The bowl trimmer. I feel like that would destroy the pretty buds I worked so hard to get. Do you use one HG?

I don't use one but @Virgin Ground does and it's helped her immensely. @BeezLuiz has one as well.

I actually don't mind trimming. I listen to the Ongoing History of New Music podcast while I'm trimming and it goes by quickly.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that last statement, couldn't be more true! Futility in growing is most often enough the result of a lack of humility!

Isn't that so cool how they are just shining in their own rights? If my kids could be poster cannabis girls, I'd let them-they do the work to get themselves there! I'm just a feeding hand!

Aww you guys are too sweet to me! Really, it makes me feel so warm inside

It's the phone! And I am very conscious of shadows and lighting when I take them. This phone takes amazing photos of everything not just the green girls in the tents!

You know shame on me for not getting over to more people's journals, including yours. I've never heard of Northern Soul-I assume it is a Northern Lights mix of some kind? I'm so jealous of you outdoor growers. I wish I could now. Eventually, I'm going to be there with you!
I don't use one but @Virgin Ground does and it's helped her immensely. @BeezLuiz has one as well.
Someone once mentioned these trimmers to me, also. I just am like you, the art of doing it or the fetish of trimming by hand is just something I really enjoy
I actually don't mind trimming. I listen to the Ongoing History of New Music podcast while I'm trimming and it goes by quickly.
That's a new one for us. We usually have music on or recently a podcast where she talks about crazy murders lmao

Here we are at Day 22.

Gaining some height, gaining some width.

Full feed day will be tomorrow or Monday, depending on how the pots feel. This could be the last weeks 1/2 feed because to me, these girls are ready for weeks 3/4 @Prescription Blend

Have a great grow day!

Highya Krissi,

Love those big girls, now!So happy to be alive! It's humerous to note - the fans in Curly look like a sativa, and the fans on Larry and Mo look like an indica. It used to be expressed as a quality of the leaf - that it was shiny. Haven't thought about that for a long time. But you're girls have very shiny leaves (and that's a good thing). Can't imagine how you'd do much more to make them look any better!! Looking good! Happy Smokin'

Isn't that so funny! I love the role reversal they are playing! Lind of like how Gigi, my Indica grew like a Sativa last winter!

I have heard about the shiny leaves, I am so pleased it is a sign of overall plant happiness cause I love to keep them happy!

Can't imagine how you'd do much more to make them look any better!! Looking good! Happy Smokin'
I'll find a way if I can-that is always one of my goals-do a little better each grow!

Hope you're having a great day Bode!

To him and everyone else, sorry for the late response, this cold has moved into my chest and after trimming last night, I'm kind of spent.

But do not fear the update is near. We'll it's now, the update is now

DAY 23 and these girls got a runoff feed this morning. They will grab 1 more small shot of weeks 1/2 with what I have left in the jug in a couple days mixed with some plain silica water and then it will be onto weeks 3/4 veg @Prescription Blend.

I have yet to increase PPFD again as they just don't need it. The light spectrum being put out by this @Mars Hydro SP3000, seems to be very receptive in these kids. Still sitting around about 80% on the dimmer.

Tis a good day for Mo, Larry, and Curly

That's all for now, happy growing friends!

Highya Krissi,

Take care of you, number 1! Your ladies need you!! And your son needs you!! And WE need you!! But only when you are Okay!
Larry looks even more vibrant! Her serations look more pronounced. Almost looks variegated. They are growing at a breakneck pace!! You should be member of the year, according to how far you have come in the cannabis realm!! I'd vote for you! Mo and Curly are almost keeping pace with Larry! Three gorgeous little ladies! Happy Smokin'

I know it and I kick myself when I do this all the time. TK is currently out to dinner with his family for a birth announcement (clearly not ours). I stayed home with the baby, hanging on the couch. Can't take care of anyone if I'm not ok!!
Larry looks even more vibrant! Her serations look more pronounced. Almost looks variegated. They are growing at a breakneck pace!!
Larry is special. She actually shot up about 2.5 inches overnight, maybe more, she is the only one that looks like a fountain, idk what is going on with her but I will take it. All of them are very unique and have traits I would love to just mesh together into 1 plant! Im dropping some pics of her from just now cause I wanted to get yours and anyone else's opinions or thoughts on what she did overnight and into today
You should be member of the year, according to how far you have come in the cannabis realm!! I'd vote for you! Mo and Curly are almost keeping pace with Larry! Three gorgeous little ladies! Happy Smokin'
No more voting or entering contests for me Sir being on the staff now although I am more than humbled by your gesture and kind words! I don't think I deserve that title for a second though, I'm just a girl from the shore that likes playing in the green waves, Bode!

Here's those shots of Larry, she seems super healthy to me but I miss things as we know! I hope you and the 420 world are having an awesome day!

Highya Krissi,

I noticed leaf tips turning downward. Had to look it up. Seems to be nitrogen toxicity. I saw examples just like your girls. Would that be locking out phosphorus? I wish your nutrient sponsor would come by. They usually know stuff like that. Doesn't seem to be harming them. Just what I noticed. Other than that, they look gorgeous! I wonder if CO2 would use the nitrogen more, relieving the high levels.

I'm just a girl from the shore
I like that. You are humble! Great quality. And a stoner chick. I like that, too! I hope you're having a great day. Happy Smokin'

How far from the light are your plants, Krissi? Mine are 18" away but I only have my light on 50% still.

Hi Bode! So Mo has been like that since the very beginning, I remember one of her first days me posting about her downward pointing tips. Thought it was N back then but they hadn't even been fed but a cup of nutes at that point.

Been monitoring them, I see it for sure on some leaves on both SSC girls but like you noted, doesn't seem to be harming them any. PH is steady at 5.8-6.2 so no issues there. They are getting dry before being watered so no issues there.

I feel like if I was at a lockout point I'd be locking out everything and I'd also see it on all the girls or something more evident than what we see in Mo but like I've said, I'm humble and I'm just going to see what happens, no over kill from me either way, just letting them flow

Hopefully it is just something cosmetic, you know Ill be on the lookout.
I like that. You are humble! Great quality. And a stoner chick. I like that, too! I hope you're having a great day. Happy Smokin'
I hope you are having a fantastic day! Im feeling a little better today, been doing the organic cold and cough treatment-red jalapeños and red hot chilis on cheez its to fire up my nostrils!
Good on you for posting an update when sick but shame on you for posting it when sick. :cheesygrinsmiley:
I know, can't help it girl. I try. Believe me.

They are 20 inches, could be why we have such a discrepancy in dimmer settings?

Hold a clean magnifying glass in front of your camera lens that's how I get my photos from phone to be super clear.

And good mythical morning @Krissi Carbone hope your well... And the I'm loving that green color ... A bit darker than the usual green you see everywhere here 👌..wonderful.... And you and @AutoNautPsychoFlower should stop playing with my green emotions with all that "we're close by" talk lol last few week ends I've thought about just getting in car or hopping on a train and bouncing for a day or two 😆.
Hehehhehehe HH cracks me up every day. Wish I lived closer to him, feel like we could have a comedy routine if we tried lol. I love dhow he clapped every word of that little lecture too!
Hahaha good I'm doing my job 😬 I already think everything is a joke having someone near by to fuel that mindset would only make people mad at me 😂 .....wich I'd prolly laugh at to 😆 .
