Welcome To The Table Mountain Sativa Spectacular

Thanks Carmen
Yes the pyrol kills on contact. Eggs too. Just don't want to mess with the flowers until they are packed with seed and then I'll treat them or leave them to finish outside. The predators and wind will take care of the mites and the can hopefully finish in the sun. Depends on timing. Nothing revegging outside yet, as soon as some of the clones I put out begin to reveg I'll move the big ones out to veg. So it's all up in the air at the moment. Yes I like that purple one too but it isn't growing as quick as I like but will give it a couple weeks and see if she takes off.
Should be in the 20s this week and going forward hopefully more than that.

Hi Growmies.
Been a while, been a bit of a juggle to make sure I get enough big ladies to carry me through.
On top of this I have been sorting and packing seeds from the fem run like crazy. Still have a few longer running landraces/heirlooms waiting to ripen up.
I've done a root prune Ala @InTheShed . Not documented here as Sheds recipe is a winner.
The sun is back, as is the wind.
Things are growing and the plan has changed somewhat with regards to the grow and I am not as happy as I want to be but, what I have going is likely to exceed my expectations so all good.

Let's start with the biggest barrel.
Originally there were three Holly's Harvests in there along with a monster bush of sweetpeas. They have now been dug into the soil to rot and get grazed by the worm force. A bit of compost mixed on as well to get things going. She will go in after 10 Nov.
Here they were....
20221014_153846.jpg

I was not happy with the growth of any of them and I had a clone of probably the best Holly's Harvest plants I've come across.... again probably the best strain I have come across.
Anyways I've been bringing plant out every morning and moving it back under the lights for an extra 2 hours to keep it vegging... again Ala @InTheShed .
Normally I have bigger plants by now but she will do great with another 2 or three months in the sun. Then stretch.

Here she is now.
20221103_141219.jpg

An added benefit of bringing her out is that she gets a once over by a tribe of ladybirds. There are three species on her in the pic above but only 2 species are visible. Can you spot all three cuties?

Then we have the SSH x Wild lady
On the same routine as the HH above. ..
20221103_141721.jpg

She wants to flower so hard...been in limbo a week or two. Really hoping she won't go further into flower so will wait until Nov 20th to out her

A malawi landrace mother that is making me smile already being weaved onto her frame for wind protection (the best method I've found for high wind. The twisted branched create crazy growth and by weaving it horizontally, new mains are everywhere and already anchored from wind damage. Thought this might work for @Stunger as he has the same wind vibes and needs short plants
Here she is

Here are the other ladies...
Miss Sticky back cross
This lady leaves your fingers Hella Sticky from a stem rub so looking forward to her flowering.
She had a FIM that will produce at least 5 tops. I only FIM or top after 10 nodes so 26 mains for her

Not doing so well so likely will be replaced with this super stinky miss sticky hybrid..not sure what dusted her but it's phenomenal smoke
Here she is revegging

I have a platinum amnesia seedling that wilk go somewhere..
And then this Mazar, just because you need one of those heavy sleep inducing plants in your stable.
Here is the Mazar

as soon as I get a second to fart I will update on the seed run which is producing the couple thousand fems I need.
Have an amazing weekend peeps.
Cheers

Awww thanks Lerugged!
along with a monster bush of sweetpeas.
Love all the camouflage you have going on in your garden! Like a real life version of when @Scientific did this with plastic flowers:

Here's to the schlep. :high-five:
weaved onto her frame for wind protection
Nicely done, and when you need to get it inside you can just barrel roll it. :thumb:
a transkei heirloom
I remember how great @Carmen Ray's transkei looked:

I hope yours turns out equally as beautiful when one of those seeds is flowered out. :)

Thanks @InTheShed .
Luckily I don't need to move the malawi in the frame. She is a seed plant and won't flower until Feb or March.
Only 10 or so days of schlep for the Two smaller ones that will flower. Luckily they are only in about 1 gallon pots not like yours, cos that wouldn't work getting upstairs. Haha
Have a great weekend.

"barrel roll it in"
Lekker lekker LR, I love a reveg and that's a little cutie on her journey. Hope you have an awesome Sunday. Coming through to town for a few days. Hope the weather is good. Today we have a rare wind free day in GB.

So just an update to show how lekker nature is and how growing organically and attracting predators to your grow is a win win.
Here I managed to capture some pest control in action. Besides the variety of ladybirds, crab and jumping spiders and manti, the other important critters are wasps and hornets.
Here is an epic battle in pictures. You will have to zoom in but should be easy enough to spot.
Again gotta love nature.

The wasp did a pretty strange thing. After they battled it out, the wasp laid the caterpillar flat on a leaf and went off to continue hunting.
I thought that was the end, but it came back to the leaf and started eating it after about 5 minutes.
Fascinating to me.
Cheers

It's a stunning day here in Cape town. Just had a sneaky little guy and chilling hard.
Time for an update.
Let's get right into it
One barrel had a Malawi landrace not doing too well and so I replaced her with a reveg of some fire Miss Sticky no 1. All the marigolds have been chopped and dug into the soil along with some compost and worm castings to help with the decomposition.
Here is before

Now to Holly's Harvest
What a stunner she is. Still in the twighlight zone between flower and reveg but Nov 20 is just about here so she will do her thing.

Aaaaaand finally some good vibes from the fem run
Here is one of the most devastating Kzn landraces I've come across regegging for another round but some beans I dropped/missed have already popped.
I'll do a proper germination test in the coming weeks after the beans rest a month. Still have the wild lady finishing up. She is a 13 weeker and she takes her time maturing seeds as well. She will cone down soon.
Seed count at 2300 total so far excluding wild lady which is pretty much what I needed from the 5 strains.

Have a kickass weekend awesome people.
Don't give too many fucks, ok?

Hey cuz, your roof top is looking so gorgeous... jelly a.f. lol, and it is indeed a glorious day in Cape Town. It is so here up the coast too in Gordons Bay. These dry sunny windless days I love.

Don't give too many fucks, ok?
How do you manage this ^^... I give way too many.

I see some more marigold seeds waiting to sprout. I must plant some nasturtiums. I keep forgetting.

Have an awesome weekend.

Looking good from tip to toes up there Lerugged! I especially like the little ones growing in the shadow of that fat trunk. :)
Haha. Thanks Shed. I see what you did there. That was a goodie. Heh.
I'm not sure what to do with them to be honest. As soon as the mother is vegging she will go back in to the tent to get dusted with fem pollen. I might dig them out but think I'll likely just snip them off. I'll need to repot the mother into something bigger for the next round.
She produced a lot of seed from the 1 gallon pot she is in so I am hoping doubling or tripling the pot size will lead to more beans. It seems pretty obvious lol.
Anyways have a great weekend.
