Welcome To My New Journal - OMMSOG

he will pick you up and bring you down, plant your feet back firmly on the ground he swoops so high and swings so low, he knows exactly wich way your going to go timothy leary:circle-of-love: find this and more on the OMM social network:party:

fish cake...now you quoting Timothy Leary! I love this Journal!

I'm behind, and I don't know if this got mentioned, but I've been testing this product and absolutely love it so far: 4-pack: Humidipak 62%

They recently came out with this particular RH level specifically for MMJ. You still need to do a proper dry to get it close, but once you get it close these will keep it at 62%RH, which is ideal as I understand it (that was their conclusion as well). I had a jar that had over-dried, and it re-moisturized it. I put one or two of these little packs in every jar I have, and so far they work great. If it gets too humid, it lowers the humidity, if it gets too dry, it raises it to keep it at an ideal moisture level. Perfect for keeping things fresh and at correct RH for extended periods. These things are no brainers for me now! Also, this link seems pricey to me. I think I got these things at the local headshop for 50 cents each if I remember correctly. Maybe a buck. You should have seen the look on the guys face when he told me you only needed one or two for a good size mason jar, and I said "okay give me 20 please". Haha!! They have these in other RH levels, too, but my understanding is the 62% is the one to get for MMJ. The higher RH's are probably better for cigars...

I did some digging and researching and have been testing these - I really think they're a great deal. Like I said though, it's no substitute for proper drying first. You've got to get it "close", first.

xlr8, you come up the damnedest things...all of them good!

I'll be putting my order for some tonight. That's amazing that they can adjust themselves. I can't thank you enough. I pretty sure our head shops don't have them yet....but I will check!

Thank You again!:thumb:

Holy Koi! Specifically 62%?! Now that's something I'd like to see. Definitely gonna do some shopping around for a really good deal on those though. Me and my no budget for a budget, y'know. Thanks for the info, brother. Gotta be better than these other desiccant packets for BEEF JERKY I was thinking about using for bigger harvests, lol.

Wow this is awesome, thank you so much I'm definitely going to give this a try in my mason jars along with my hygrometer! I came across an old post from goldengoose regarding the humidipaks but he was using 72% exclusively and said he had buds that were over a year old and still perfect. Have you tried any others besides the 62%? That does sound about the right range though, or at least closer then 72%! Maybe that post was before they introduced the 62%

Super glad if someone else finds these things helpful - I'm thrilled with them so far. My understanding is that the 62% is pretty new, and that they added it specifically for MMJ. I've heard of people using the 72% also, but mostly to "rejuvanate" dryer buds, then removing them. I think 72% might be a bit high and create a mold concern, but I'm not really certain. The 62% can just be thrown in the jar and left in (that's what I do).

These guys did a little test: https://eastcoasterdam.com/ecd-product-review-humidipak/

EDIT - Just saw that Jandre posted same test. High minds think alike?

Could be a few things I think. Heat and/or low RH sometimes causes leaves to "wrap" themselves close to the bud to protect the bud from heat/low RH. If you have a heat issue at all, that could cause it. Also, excess nitrogen can cause leaves to curl down like that (if I'm understanding you correctly). But you'd probably see it "claw" on the bigger fans some, too. Nitrogen excess usually makes the leaves a deeper darker green, too.

Finally, a lot of strains just seem to want to do that. They can be happy in every way you can think of but still have the little bud leaves curl down.

Plants have only a few ways to defend themselves, and the leaves curling into the bud could just be a defense against (heat, low RH, even too much direct light, etc.) These have been the causes for me typically.

Just a couple thoughts. Good luck with your gals! :goodluck:

Hi Treebass Welcome to :420:and my grow :welcome:

Pictures would sure help if can find a way to post them. Make sure you are not over watering them to begin with.
Tell us the strain too. I have a Lemon Skunk that looks like that normally. Could be a number of things. Good luck with them. Bet your excited about the Olympics being held in the city you live in.

OMM, yeah don't know what flag would be interesting to see, If Im not mistaken they will fly the true colors of our nation. My son's keep telling me to be careful. I just tell them not to worry if any thing happens the US will provide me with a free ticket to England.

Procedural differences existed between maritime cases and other civil proceedings until 1966, when the U.S. Supreme Court approved amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that brought admiralty and maritime procedural rules into accord with those used in other civil suits. The substantive maritime law, however, has remained intact. This is the so called authority the USA courts act under. FYI
Sorry for ranting, I have had it with the court systems around here. I have been doing Legal briefs for my son at the Supreme Court level, and I am finally done. thank God.

seagem Thanks, that is news to us all !'m sure. Even our flag is not real! I wonder what we will be flying at the Olympics?

Good Grief! :smokin2:

I mentioned this to Jo.....Her answer is typical of most Americans....."Don't worry Our Country knows what it's doing". Typical apathy! :thedoubletake::smokin2:

Rant away girl....you make more sense and are trying to make the public aware of what's happening in our Country!
:bravo:

Yes Sir! Alaskan1 :) Bare with me.....the end is in sight! I think! Then we can start a new one!:thumb:

You have a computer in the bathroom? Why didn't I think of that?

Cheers? Thank you...I take that as a compliment! :peacetwo:

yea this 3 page a day stuff is just toooo muchhh :p :Namaste:

Well, my Friend, it is a matter of a point view thing. We all want a good journal and I am no different. To me, I love my journal and everyone who participants in it, you included. If I could somehow break it in to pieces, I think that would help. Right now it's length for a full grow from veg to harvest. I'm open to suggestions on how to shorten it. Maybe I could cut it in half somewhere during the grow. This grow I was blessed by gifts of plants from others members and I feel an obligation to do the best I can with these gifts.

Right now, based on your statement above has me feeling very guilty. I thought we were having fun, maybe I am wrong.
How depressing. OMM

OMM.........think "laptop" my friend :thumb:

Think about it............your journal is kinda like the "hangout" where we all get together in one place. It's not like we have a chat room we can go to so, this is like the closest thing we have to that. You should feel honored, I would!
I mean really, it's like the only place really where you dirt farmers and us hydro guys hang out all in the same place, who'd a thunk?? lol
We CAN co exsist! :)
OMM, if we didn't give ya crap I'd start to worry because it would mean we didn't love ya man...... not in a huggy sorta way.......but in a manly kinda way
:peace: to ya my brotha :Namaste:

Stop it!! Your journals are just right. Yes they are long and a lot of people like me comment. It is not your fault. It is growing fans like me who are at fault. We are the ones who add and ask questions. In the last 10 pages I learned more about curing. Those little 62% packets are cool too. I get a lot of great information right here! Your journal rocks because every one meets here. That is nothing to be sorry or depressed about. I have to hand it to you to be able to keep up on your journal the way you do. I bet it takes a lot of energy and I know it is a labor of Love for you too. I am really glad your journals attract the top growers in this site. So many things I have learned on your journal. I do not want to offend any one else. But for me, Your Journals are the best place to get some good humor and excellent growing information. I believe they contribute greatly to make 420mag the best site on the net. :circle-of-love:

Looking forward to see how that White Russian ends up weigh wize. I think that is one beautiful plant.
Great looking harvest! :bravo:
