A page or so back I put in a link to light addicts fluxing tutorial. Check it out, it will give you a great yield.
 
I just would like to thank everyone for helping out with the questions asked earlier. It's a good feeling to know that when we are busy with work, the community still is here to help! So awesome.

I have a small update on our autos. Up first we have Early Miss Audrey Auto. Seems like her buds doubled in size in just a couple days.

Isn't this exciting! I have shit work to do today. Demo on pipe with insulation in 90° weather, but even that's not gonna get me down! I'm on cloud 9. I'm just so honored and humbled by all the awesome choices for motm!

Well, here it is. My oil making update!!

This jar has roughly an ounce of dry, cured buds from the first harvest and some dry sugar leaves and popcorn buds from the 2nd harvest.

We put chilled 151 grain alcohol in for the wash. Shook it for about 3 min, then to the freezer for 30 min, shaking every 10 for a min.

We did 3 washes with the buds. Then strained the buds with a dish towel, and a fine mesh strainer.

Now for the heat. Took about an hour to reduce to oil. I used a deep electric skillet with a square casserole dish.

We decided to store it in a dabs container. The dolla store only had droppers, no syringes.

That concludes this update. When used in the rig with a nail, it tastes a lot like vapor used in a small vape pen for cured buds. Oh, and Wow! It works well!!

Because of the alcohol in the solvent, it is recommended to use a double boiler. Since we didn't have one, I heated the skillet slightly lower than boiling the water in it. The bubbles from the water boiling were getting into the oil. That's why I turned it down. The setting in the skillet was low. Personally, I wouldn't use an oven because the vapors that evaporate are still quite flammable and could make a big boom! Lol. Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words!! I figured I'd have to get one from wally world, but that's a 25 min drive each way, and I had already started the process of extracting the oil from the buds. It was my first time, so I didn't know if I could just leave it in the freezer for over an hour. Next time we head to town, we will definitely get some!.
