Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Some growers get good results. A great grower meets adversity and doesn't give up! These new gals will overcome.

And the crazy sativa is one of the joys you can have when you have enough room to grow. Gonna be a ton of gorgeous easy to smoke/vape sugary foxtails. Mmmmmmmm gonna be some trip high get some shit done sativa.
What Shiggs said, that P Haze looks amazing have an estimation in the yield? How are the buds looking let's see some bud shots!

Yesterday we did another run of bubble hash, this time with 1.5 lbs of frozen tutankhamon trim. No idea on yield since I don't have the "eye" for determining weight of hash, but I will say it is a decent haul. The use of the machine made the job much easier and faster, so if you plan on doing this a few times then it is well worth the money. We haven't taken any pictures of the hash of yet but will once it is dry. After it is dry we plan on pressing it just like we did the last one. Oh that reminds me, Canna pressed 6.3 grams of hash and got 4.8 grams of rosin in return. Not to bad eh? Anyways I took a couple micro shots of the 73 micron and the 45 micron bag.

:yummy:
Did you guys run your material twice? If not, I would and wash it for a good 6-8 minutes. LOTS OF ICE. If you think you have too much ice, it's not enough.

We did two washes with it. The first was was about 5-6 min. Then we ran it through the bags. Then we did a second wash for about 15 min, ran it through the bags. Now it's probably going in the freezer to pull the liquid out of the hash, then it will be grated onto cardboard to let it dry for a few more days. Then, squish!!!

I've got a question for you guys. The last two batches of rosin we made turned into more of a wax than an oil. What are we doing that's causing it to (for lack of better words) dry out and become waxy? The high is still there, but it seems as though it's not as sticky, or runny. It's consistency is like how wet sand sticks together.

Anyway, have a good day everyone!

Just thinking here but maybe the press was too long for the temperature. I've never really timed a press so I can't give advice there. I just watch the edge of rosin as it runs out.

Ran mine at 225o F with good results.

We ran at a low temp too. It came out like oil. Then we put within the freezer to remove it from the parchment more easily. Do you think we froze the liquid out?

Post some pics of the rosin in question but I believe this may have to do with super low temp squishing of hash or keif or dry sift. It turns almost like "cake batter". The other thing could be the dryness of the material used. Less moisture in less moisture out?

Here are a few quick pics I took. Then since I was digging around in all that rosin, I had to hit the e-nail! Lol!

There are two.different kinds in there. The darker rosin is the Blue Dream bubble hash that was squished. The lighter was from a Tutankhamon flower squish.

Now I will watch the video. Thanks for that!

I can't say I've ever let rosin sit long enough for that to happen haha one other guess could be the terps evaporating, I believe they're the ones responsible for making rosin goopy and almost wet to begin with

Those were squished pretty recently. 1-2 weeks for the BD, and maybe a month for the Tut. It's not like it's that old. It turned grainy like that the next day. Lol!
My best guess is honestly the low temp. It almost looks like the resin heads didn't melt all the way or something which is plausible if they go from the press to the freezer.

Very true! I think maybe a cool down in necessary before the parchment goes into the freezer. Nis wants to do squishes tonight for the sake of science. I'm down with that. Hell, I'd be down to make squish, just for the smoking purposes. Lol!!

hey c and n.....sticky....thats not a pile of trichomes........its a pile of gland heads only with no trich stalks....just heads.....and a wee bit of dirt.beautifull bh!!
What up D?! How's things in your corner of the world? Things here are moving right along. Did you let Ziggs take the DeLorean a couple months ago? I know how he likes to leave Marijuana plants in public places. I was wondering if he came here in the DeLorean and planted that aloe girl. Lol! Have a good day man!

Believe it has something to do with it degrading

I'm not certain anything's degrading though, just changing moisture content in some way. I have some that came to me a few months back that was hard and shiny when it came, and has been slowly changing into a texture that breaks apart more easily.

If anything, curing has increased potency.

I don't smoke this, my daughter does. Too indica for my normal tastes.

I have seen it takes a long period of low heat to make rosin turn into wax like that. I believe the process I watched was over 4 months to make it. Have we come up with a way of changing it over a much shorter period of time? This is all so cool! Now I want to go squish! Must use restraint! Nis would love to be in on this, and I want him here when it's done, so I'll wait. Only because I love that man so damn much!

Now what I really want to do, is take one of those chambers of the BD wax we have, add it to a double boiler style "water bath", and see if it will re liquify. What are your thoughts on this?
