Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

You could do our exact setup just half the length. I have become quite the fan of using as much soil as you possibly can. I would personally do 3 large plants in a SCROG in a 4x2. 3 - 15 gallon pots or you could build a planter similar to ours and just have the 3 share 45-50 gallons. If you would like I could draw something up and send it to ya.
. . .

I have often thought growing in round pots in a rectangle tent is counter productive. But, I am way to lazy to do anything about it. Silly me.

I like the idea of sharing soil between multiple plants like you are doing. Cannot wait to see what follows:thumb:

Hey ween, if ya like that then you should check out what we did tonight! It won't be long now, 10 days max. GE drench this weekend with the new formula and then all systems go shortly after that.

The new cobs are at different heights, making sure we can run them low watts and low height and get the same results from high wattage and higher hanging height. Just a little experiment.

I like what you have going. I am currently in the process of my first DIY fixture 666 watts over a 4x4 of white Samsung diodes and some Cree xpe photo reds.

What is going on Shiggs!? It's been a few months since we have seen ya on the mag. Hope all is well and welcome back!

The DIY fixtures are awesome. Very versatile and very efficient. What's this you said about a tent? I thought you didn't work out of a tent :laughtwo: last I remember was that huge light array you had in your room. Any plans of firing up a new journal? So much to catch up on. Take it easy bro.

Still won't be a tent. Lmao. I am making some dedicated 4 x 8 chambers framed out of wood and insulated. They have to be separate so I can run them on opposite schedules so my electric use will be spread out. And I should have a freeform chamber about the size of the other two. I will run scrogs in the production chambers and this will let me get quantified baselines on any strain in a 4x4. Then I can run experiments in any chamber with one as a control. No weird data because the four 4x4 will have identical lighting end environment with reflection on all sides. So for example I could run one as control, one with mammothP, one with photosynthesis plus, and a fourth with both mammoth P and photosynthesis plus. Then observe and compare weights with the baseline.

Mornin all looking good canna and nis must be nice to have all that space lol. So 7 outta 9 sprouted 3-jack herer auto 2-damnesia autos 1-chocolate kush 1- blueberry dominant. I decided to leave the two photos I have about a month old 1 bud bud bling tingz and a cheese in the new tent with the sprouts until I need the room then I'll put them outside I rambling but I have to buy another fan because it's not pulling enough air out and the heat is staying in the tent and also elevating my rh. My lights say 1.4 amps so if they turn on is it possible for them to be not as bright if there all on the same load or if there on there on? Sorry for kid napping your journal thanks for any help

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Hey nismo, did you get your drivers straightened out? That was my reason for sticking at 1400ma, had little more output voltage. Your growl looks great, nice setup. I'm surfing around trying to get info on the brix, gonna check sweet sues thread. Have a great day .
Welll here's the thing... If I were to unplug all of the dimming wires then they go directly to 1.75 amps and it's right at 200 watts. Cool. Then a 2 sets of 4 cobs decided to not like the potentiometer that we had installed. Started with all 100k pots and had some dead travel. Jimmy had me swap out the 100k for 85k to reduce it. Well all that did was make it so the wattage wasn't as high. Plus I think I had 2 bad ones since they wouldn't hold a steady wattage. Swapped them out for a 99k and a 98k yesterday and we are holding steady at 25 watts per cob 12" away. Don't need to blast the shit out of them yet.

If you are curious about the high brix, it's the real deal. I've smoked hydro, soil, soil-less, and soil-less high brix and there is a clear winner in taste and quality. Since we don't grow for profit, we want the best quality we can get and that's where it is. Don't get me wrong quantity is great since we like to squish a half ounce every 2 weeks in our rosin press lol.

Thanks for stopping in buck. :passitleft:

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I didn't put any resistors, just 100k pots. Mine max out around 220w. I have mine also down to 100w a driver. I checked with meter at 12 to 15 inches I have a little over 600ppfd. Where does a person get the materials for high brix? That's where I need to do more reading, thanks
I didn't put any resistors on as well. I'll be purchasing a par meter sometime in the near future, but it's good to know where we are sitting roughly, good amount for veg.

If you wanted to go with the kit from doc bud, all you need to do is purchase a bale of promix HP ($60 or so), 20-40 lbs of EWC, and a kit from doc. 1 kit is good for 6 plants in 7 gallon pots and costs under $100. We buy by the gallon and it saves a ton of money in the long run.

Here is a link to doc bud's Q and A and it has all of the information you could ever want about high brix there. He also has "In the lab" and a few good grow journals as well I would recommend checking out.

I'm out of soil now. I'll pick up some pro mix. I'm using 7 gall airpots now. I think 6 is perfect number for my 5x5. I'm going to do away with tent this summer, and just use 4x4 table and pan. Thanks for the info, I have a lot of reading to get caught up on. Plus I've heard that pest doesn't like high brix, that's a great thing also. Thanks

This morning I sat down with the ladies, put on some led zeppelin and started giving them their summer trims. Things were getting a little messy under the canopy so it got cleaned up a bit.

Before

After

Ended up with quite a bit of leaves and small branches that were not getting any light and they would never make it to the canopy. I left a couple small ones just in case for clones and grafting. They got a good spraying of de-stress and they received a GE drench as well. 3 oz GE, 7 ml of tea, in 15 gallons of water to each trough.

Bowl break

Our Panama haze was going to get transplanted and flipped earlier this week but gave her a drench instead. The next time she is due for water it's transplant into a 15 and flip. The two tall tops are getting trained down as well. Going to try and keep her as manageablle as possible. 16 weeks in flower is coming her way.

I picked up 3 bags of promix, I hope I got the right one, this is all they had

Your room looks so clean and organized, great job. Thanks for referring me to docs journal, it has more pages than Moby Dick, but a lot more interesting. Thanks

There are 2 kinds of promix you can use. The HP and the BX. The only main difference is that the BX doesn't have the amount of perlite as the HP(27% perlite). So to get it to be the same, you would need to add 5 - 6 gallons of perlite to each bale. Then get you'll have to get "the kit" from doc bud, you can take a look at his profile and contact info is there, mix everything up and let it cook for a month. :high-five:
