For those that have an issue with over watering or not knowing when to water, this is for you.

Last night the BOP was all droopy and needed a dose of plain water. Notice the slight wilting and looking pissed off.

Then this morning they were reaching for the sky!

Hope this helps anyone and everyone that has had issues in the past.

And some six shooter for ya to start the day. Have a good one everybody!

I've received PMs from a few members here recently about when to water so I thought I would say something here. I don't mind answering questions and such so if anyone has any issues they can say something here or in a PM. My thinking is to not over think it lol. If they look fine, they don't need anything. Just keep on the foliar schedule and alternate water, trans, water, GE, water, repeat. Something simple to me or you could be difficult for people starting out since I know it was for us. Once you get the hang of it, it is extremely easy. :thumb:

Now the mites have returned on a couple plants in flower and is pissing us off. No idea what happened. Oh I know what it was! We went to Jamaica for a week and the mites started populating again since we were not blasting them. It's just a pain seeing them struggle and not grow to their full potential since they can only think of mite protection. Plus now we have to throw out atleast a batch of soil.

But on a lighter note it is time to go install this bad boy! The one we have been using was just a sediment filter that also removed chloramines and such. Thought it was RO. Whoops. This one will make the TDS 0 and pH to 6.5...hopefully.

Nothing like smoking a joint while working next to the ladies. Time to turn up the LED Zeppelin!

Thanks Doc! We can't take all the credit though as it is your kit that is doing all of the heavy lifting. We just give them a good environment and the drenches when they need them. Your stuff is magic in a bottle, seriously. The crown royale we have run before with nutes and this one in the kit is absolutely amazing. Smells are different and it is sticky beyond belief. My only regret is not using your stuff sooner.

Good evening Nis, Canna ..and friends. Nis i must correct you sir......you really meant to say.... water, water, Transplant Drench w/ Tea, water, water, GE Drench w/Tea, water, water, Transplant Drench w/Tea.....repeat...eh!....cheers.:)
Thank you for clearing that up for me as i didnt want to type it all out. Every 3rd watering is some sort of drench. I guess I could just said that. it was a long day today at work but I was able make the plates for our rosin press.

Everything showed up yesterday minus the heating elements. Smh. But tomorrow they will be here and we will be squishing flower and hash Saturday. Canna picked up an enail on Sunday and it is awesome. Definately the way to go over using a torch. You can actually taste the terps with a lower temp. So cool! :tokin:

Well, it's my job that other folks don't have the same regrets you guys do......and that their plants look as nice as yours!

BTW, the magic is in the dirt. It turns out that microscopic life forms are better gardeners than we are.

You might re-think tossing that soil. I have a theory:

The plants have a natural immune system that can be triggered with insect frass....and actual insect exoskeletons. Part of that immune response is the thick, waxy coating on the leaves and resin.

Do the plants do better with mites? Not with a huge circus, with tents and extended family!....but if there are a few here and the plants are healthy I believe the mites are actually helpful.

Between Leaf Wash and using the foliars as weapons, they can be controlled to the point where you can just let them live and not worry. Even the Cannabis Cup type mites....which I battled for almost a year. They're under control.....no miticides.

Is that pc. there SS, Nis?
The pic I posted this morning is Fast buds six shooter. It's strong, tastes good, smells even better, and can't be rolled up since it is too damn sticky. It will be a rosin candidate for sure.

That is some good info to know. I was going to ask about it when we got closer but I just assumed that we would have to throw it out since we have/ had mites. Good to know.

Also about the leaf wash, we have used it a couple times once in veg and once early into flower. Can we use it up until harvest? Like once every 3 weeks or so. Do you have a schedule or regimen that you use with it?

Thanks again.

I stop using it when trichomes really begin to form. It's oil based, therefore I would not use it anywhere near harvest time. Yuck. :cough:

wash twice in veg, upon transplanting and twice in early bloom. If everything that goes into bloom is thoroughly washed, and then washed again, you'll see dramatic reductions in insect pressure, especially if you use the foliars to irritate the bastards as well.

So... these words would indicate that you're growing photo DDs. I've not been able to locate photo DDs in seedbanks. Any chance you can point? And, since I've not seen them, I would certainly understand if you're unable to point. :passitleft:

He did a drive by Tead. Won't be back until he gets bored and curious the next time. :battingeyelashes:  He's growing DDAs. A whole mess of them. He's breeding his own.

I have a water question for ya Nis. I find I am watering every 10 days I probably could go longer according to your pictures. Should I wait more then that? Or should I change my soil all together. It is a promix but not bx or anything. Has nutes in it already. It's all I had access to in winter.

While in veg and the first 2 waterings of bloom is the only time that you want to do that. Doing that allows the roots to go searching and you have a nice healthy rootball. The growth up top will only be as good as the growth and health of the roots.

We have used promix like that before but it didn't have the nute burn that you had. Ours was treated as a soil less mix that didn't have time release nutes but had some stuff in it. But I wouldn't change it now unless you could get your hands on some non fertilized stuff. Then you would have to transplant them and if you are going to be flowering soon then I wouldn't transplant.

I've subbed up to your journal so I'll lend a hand when I can. :thumb:

Hey Nis. I don't know if this will help but I had gnats in my very first grow, I was using nutes then. Then I switched to DBHBB. The gnats stuck around for the second show, if you know what i mean. The thing is, they never really seemed to be multiplying and they stayed mainly near the soil. I would kill a few every now and then but it didn't seem to effect my plants one bit. I remember Duggan telling me not to worry about it. They don't like our soil. You saw the monsters I grew. The buds were sticky and looked like they were coated in sugar. I'd say you have nothing to worry about. But, I would see what Doc has to say first.
Cheers
