Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I'd whack the 3rd node right away. But since you have not allowed them to stretch, there is no stalk to make the cut!

PINCH IT!!!

I took a look at her this morning and she will be ready tonight. I'll take some tweezers and pinch it off. Camera will be setup tomorrow!

Hey All :ciao:

Just thinking out loud here.
Is the floor in your basement a bit cool. Do you or have you considered some insulation on the floor to keep the roots warm? I am thinking for next year for myself. Right now, I keep my pots off the floor with little plastic trays. My tent is under a window and the floor can get cool at night.

GrateDay All.
That's what the foam puzzle flooring is. It stays ambient temperature in the room under the lights. So it protects it from the cold concrete. Last week we cleaned top and bottom on the foam and set a pot on the concrete briefly and you could see the moisture being sucked out after putting her back on the mat. So it helps. I'll shoot it with a temp gun later to show you.

Sorry to hold everyone in suspense but Elizabeth got her head chopped off tonight.

Lots of hard hitting action we were depriving you all from. Two more seeds germinated and have made it into solo cups and hopefully in 2 days the world will know of their existence!

Did the final flush for 2 of the girls in flower. Thursday they will go into darkness and Saturday will be chop chop chop.

Stay tuned friends. :bigtoke:

Nice, I love to see grow rooms evolve and watch people dial in their craft.

Cheers

Much appreciated. I feel we have taken quite well to this hobby and picked up on stuff quick. Now we don't know half of everything, but with the help from the awesome people here, we will be able to grow the best cannabis possible to us. :thanks:

I've noticed my bong water gets black way to fast. Store bought smoke takes much longer to kill water. It's nice when your product is loaded with oil.

Cheers

The mats are never cold to walk on. Always nice and warm and inviting. .

I have my kitchen floor covered with these tiles and I have a group of them I use for my exercise area, where I also sit and do all my 420 work. Some of the best money I ever spent.

Cold concrete is definitely one of the main causes of a poor grow. It's just so big a heatsink that even a small difference in temp will cause a ton of energy to be sucked from your plant. Like sitting next to a cold window in winter. Plant roots shut down and nitrogen becomes unavailable. Plants look like a combo of N deficiency and overwatering. Kudos to you guys for figuring that out early. It is the first thing I harp on with new growers.

You're both in construction? That must make for some fun home improvement projects. Do you work well together on construction projects? I'm guessing yes, from the energy you generate here. I worked side-by-side with my husband our entire married life, at one thing or another. Entrepreneurs, addicted to the baptism by fire thing I guess. :laughtwo: Most couples can't take that kind of togetherness.

Where I live, I leave them on the floor to keep the roots cool. They're rarely ever below 65f and usually right in the optimal root-zone temp of 68-70f. My winter grows are always more trouble-free and the results are always the best of my 3 yearly runs. Mostly because the environment is spot-on during that time.

...but I routinely recommend people keeping their stuff off the floor.

We are construction workers and we know just how bad concrete can be at times. We knew we would need to put the girls on something to keep them warm and moist. Thanks Shig!

I recently heard about a construction company building homes with hemp. Probably in the US. It's meant to be far better than concrete on so many levels & I think even lasts a lot longer.

concrete homes are great! hemp... it burns!!! mmmm smoke.

I don't know why people living in "tornado alley" of the USA prefer to live in homes made of wood and paper drywall.
Never heard of the 3 pigs story???

I had a quick check & the material is called 'hempcrete'. Hemp mixed with lime, sand & water. It's meant to be stronger than concrete except for taller buildings I think & funnily enough doesn't burn or so they say. I'm really no expert though.

:Namaste:

Hey Putin

I've always wondered this myself as I live in a temperate country that would never have a tornado or even very stormy weather and every house is built from brick and concrete. The wood houses just seem like really big insulated sheds ha ha

No offence to anyone that lives in one of these houses :)
