Weenmeoff's Inside Soil Alien Abduction Grow Journal

I got my fan and damn this thing is a monster! I had no idea it was going to be this big. Correct me if I'm wrong but to create negative pressure, once both fans are hooked up and running and tent is closed, I want to find the spot on the speed controller for the exhaust fan where the tent walls are sucking in slightly? They're sleeping now but I'll hook everything up later and let you know how it's working.
You want to be exhausting more air then you are in taking to create that negative pressure. You will see the tent sucked in a little when she's closed up and fans are running. Hope it helps.

I will use my 160 CFM for intake. I also have a speed controller on the way. Should have the fans on same times as lights so they're not running when the lights are off?

I use a temp controller to switch the exhaust fan on and off. Different settings are available for night and day (light sensor) but I just leave them both around 78 degrees. The exhaust fan almost never runs when the lights are off.

Sounds like you are well on your way to a sweeter setup :)

lol I thought the same thing when I got mine. I ended up sitting it on top of my tent in a intake hole, wouldn't fit inside the tent with the light and carbon filter. plus mounting or hanging it seemed like a pain :thumb:

That's exactly what you will be looking for. 75% works perfect. Also helps with wear and tear on the fan and will make it last years. :thumb:

So the new fan is installed so is the inlet and carbon filter. Exhaust goes out the side of the garage. Temp after a couple hours was 82. Negative pressure has been achieved. Thanks all!

This pic is the #1 runt, suspected male. What do you all think?

I only have experience with the two of mine that turned male but this one seems either female or too early to tell for me. those look like where the white pistils will start growing. someone with more experience can probably give you more of a definitive/accurate answer though.:thumb:

It looks like you have a girl ween! The little sacks that you think may make it a male look centered. If they come off at a weird angle is when it's male. Give it a day and you should be seeing more. But I'm going to say female at this point. And congrats on the Temps and negative pressure. :woohoo:

Thanks Nis! I sure hope so because that's the most developed of the 3. It is the one that the clone has what looks like crab claws though which i thought suggested male. The other 2 I suspect are females, 3 of 3 would be the shit. Still such tiny growth on the clones.

Could the reason they are only talking a gallon between the 3 suggest there is a big root ball and they need a bigger pot? They were going 9 days water/feed but now it's like 4-5 days.

A few pics of the clones.

It's been exactly 2 weeks since I flipped the clones to 11/13 so I hope to be looking at some Lady parts soon. When I have confirmed females, what should I do with the clones? Keep in 11/13, put back in veg or chop?
Keep them. Putting them back to veg can be done so you achieve more yield, but it's hard on the plant. Maybe just keep emailing in flower to see how big they get. Just my 2 cents worth

Yup shoot them an email lol. But yeah you can keep them in flower or flip them back and risk getting a hermie. I would flower them so you can have a little taste of what's to come with their moms.

But we transplant when watering gets down to every other day or a week before the flip to flower.

Will I transplant the clones into bigger container? There is very little soil and significant root structure.
Yeah you can transplant them. We have ours in 3 gallon pots. We plan on keeping them there just to see what happens. We have so many other things growing that we don't mind a smaller yield since their mom's are in flower now. All just for the purpose of learning. Lol

Do you have enough space to grow out these clones? Are you willing to turn on the flower lights for weeks for such a low yield?

I assumed these clones were sacrificial clones to test for sex.

You are correct Rad. I was just wondering if I could save them. I have the space. Will the plants grow, how much do y you think I will get per plant?

OK, I may have to do a learning experiment too. Not sure yet.
