It was electrical.
My weegrow sponsored light blew up.
Bran new, set on low.
So be careful, and get a smoke detector and fire extinguisher for your grow.

i don't know. it melted. i don't think it burned . i didn't notice for months. it didn't have a bulb in it as i was just using the 400w MH for veg. scary stuff.

this picture is when i first noticed it.

look up and to the right. inside that hole, where the light bulb would stick out from, this is where the damage was. there is some part on the other side of the hole. i lost so many pictures when Overgrow got busted. i don't get very excited but i was surprised that it happened and i had no idea. it was bought in 1994 and i noticed the damage in the 2000s. i stopped using it for flower when i went with a 1000w beauty.

they stopped making them. it was a 400w HPS aand a 400w MH unit. i think it was a good idea, just not done well.

well, the US AND CANADA got together and took over the operation. it was quite the scandal at the time. a very long story involving intrige, intregge?? drama, hysterics , finger pointing, it was something. probably google has some memory of it.

the freaking poelice were taking orders over the phone and had aaaa bunch of info about past purchases. names, addresses etc. everybody scattered and a few grow sites got a bunch more members. there were grow sites where we were talking about what we knew and thought. it was ugly for them but fun for me.

aaand there was a war over who had and who owned their huge database


PS- at that time, overgrow was overgrown with newbs and dummies who would brag about their LEDs and how great their grow was aand how everybody should switch - AAAAND when it was flowering time, they didn't update their grows and had bragged so much that they just abandoned their grow journaals. the LEDs of the time were good in veg but sucked in flower. like really bad. made me laugh when i just get back into growing aand LEDs have grown.

up too. the once great and mighty Shabang, was mostly gone, so it was over anyway. only members would get that reference.

the police have done similar stuff against other sketchy seed companies and product marketers before. they have a tendency to leave the 'legit' ones alone. also many are out of their jurisdiction, and a greater and greater number operate legally in their home countries / states.

I added that the other day on the "All purpose Fire Ext". That fire post led me to that. Yes that sure made me think, I told my wife just yesterday we need to get heavy quality cords, No Dollar Store or Tent Sale Quality on this.

Hey Bill! I saw somewhere a post, someone mentioned that your grow room/tent got burnt.
So started to look around your journals and found this

I’m a little burnt and some smoke inhalation but I made it out with the cats an the dog.
I’m fuked though.
I’ll update when I can.
But for now I’m at my wits end.
Everyone get your self a big fire extinguisher

Even tho that happened months ago, but I’m feeling so sorry for you brother.

Went thru the couple first pages and you had sucha great looking QB and everything was looking super smooth.
I can only imagine how you and Stacey felt.

My lil inspection problem aint nothing comapred to this but at least me, Mrs. and the plant got thru! So this time I’m sending you a big amazon box of good karma. I’ll post in a bit hows the plant doing.
