Websissy’s Purple Haze Grow Journal, 2021

I chickened out - read that sativa's can take up to 10 weeks in flower to be ready to harvest. Her buds aren't dead yet. So giving her a little more time. I have a better close up lens coming so I can look at her trichomes better. I can see tiny resin drops all over her buds, just not very big. Here's a pic of one of her clones (looks super healthy) - cut about a week before I flipped her to flower - my flower girl is 40 days since I flipped her.

Hiya WS,
I'd like to help if you like.

Using Superthrive, General Hydroponics Flora series. Cal mag. Following chart or instructions for feeding amounts. Used Great White mycorrhizae powder on roots when transplanting.
Can you post the feed chart you were following?

Sweet Raw, a bit of Super Thrive and GH Flora Bloom
Is this all they are being fed right now?

If so, then that right there is the issue. I see several things going on, and it's just from missing many of the nutrients the plant needs right now.

Thanks MrSuaga. Before I flipped to flower I was feeding General Hydroponics Flora Series and Cal Mag according to a chart I found online. People commented that my plants leaves were very dark green. I discovered that the feeding chart I was using was for people growing hydroponically or in coco. I found one for soil and never gave the full amounts - usually about 2/3rds. I usually watered twice with just PH balanced water and then watered with nutes.

Once she started to flower I worried that maybe she wasn’t getting enough Potassium and Phosphorus - so fed her nutes two watering in a row using the GH Flora series recommendations for early flower along with sweet raw. After that 2nd feeding, I saw the leaves started to claw. I then watered her with just distilled water. It was hard for me to give her nothing - so I would add some Super Thrive and Sweet Raw. I haven’t given her any GH Flora Series nutes for past 3 weeks. I watered her a few days ago with Spring water (PH balanced).

OK, is this the stuff you have for the GH nutes?

If so, then it's fine for soil.

I'll give you some things to consider, based on this being the product used. You need to add the micro back in the mix. Don't worry about the SuperThrive or Sweet Raw. Look at the images below. By only giving the Bloom your plant is missing out on many secondary and micro nutrients.

Also, try following the feedcharts right from the GH site. Found here. Again, this is only if the products match the images I posted earlier.

You want the 3 part series, weekly feedchart.

Thanks - will give your advice a try.

They have several feed charts to choose from. I'd say you are in the mid bloom section on the charts.
Then do a comparison on how much you were feeding and how much you are feeding now. The buds have plenty of time to grow still.

Thanks I have to wait to water/feed again until I get back next Tuesday. The soil still has moisture a few cm down.

OK, but expect the unexpected :).

In flower you don't want a wet dry cycle. Plants should never be searching for food when in flower. It should always be available.
However, we can only do what we can and if you can't water until Tuesday then there's not much that can be done. That is an awfully long time without food though.

I can feed:water tonight :). Thanks for the advice!

Some more pics from the PH grow -

the males are still alive - other side of house (have a long house).

Not far enough apparently from the female - she has a few seed pods - couple of seeds I plucked from her today just for a look-see.

I’m back from long weekend away. More
Crispy leaves - almost all fan leaves are gone. Buds do look plumper though. Stalk still looks good. Fed/watered her again this morning with GH Floraseries - medium amounts for later flower.

You should try the formula I set out earlier. It has the right ratios of nutrients the plant needs. The damaged leaves will never recover, and will fall off. You are trying to stop the progression, which is all that can be done.

Welcome back.

I'm using the GH chart with the milliliters (medium nutrients). I'll convert the grams chart you sent to ml on my next watering. Thanks! Hard to tell if there's progression as so many leaves were affected. Still have some green around the small sugar leaves. It looks like I have some new sugar leaf growth and they are looking healthy :) She's hanging on for dear life! :meatballs:

As long as you are following the chart you're fine. I wouldn't change at this point. The main thing is they are getting the missing nutes now. Good job Web!
