LETTER to the TEACHER: Light Addict

LETTER to the TEACHER: Light Addict my great teacher & friend, Fluxy Lady is growing like gangbusters! I have the wire back in place, I did that as soon as I opened my report card today.
(pipe cleaners BB's idea, maybe) nah, all me

About the r-card, a "D" really? for "use of pipe cleaners after being told not to"? I have put the pipe cleaners back in BAR's trash bin. We'll talk after class about possible extra credit for me,

Back to Fluxys' schooling, I have the (NEW WIRE) restraints extended to the point where almost all the tops are now above the rim of the massive 18 gallon/68 liter container!! Her stump is well over one inch. 2.54 cm in diameter.

New growth under the tops, areas long as almost 2"/5 cm!! Bending the leaves down many times a day DEFINITELY, keeps nodes closer/tighter together!

I would love your thoughts ASAP, so this is posted here first!! lol Thank you & sorry for interrupting your class. It looks more like detention in here, lol. (kidding BAR, GF, lbudder & the rest)

:thankyou::thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:

1 voter says cut!! next voter please

lemon helps move nutrients along in their cycle. like when it shocks your tounge, it's doing the same thing in the soil. it's giving it a literal kick start.

I vote cut the dead leaves because they're blocking the green leaves which are producing energy.

thanks a lot b!:high-five:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I don't know what you should do about cutting dead tissue off. I just don't know enough about cannabis growing to say. In "general" when there is dead or decayed tissue it should be removed to prevent further infection of other diseases or insect damage.

So, look, at this point you have nothing to lose. Carefully prune out the growing tips the way you would top the plant. Only removed damaged, dead or unhealthy tissue. I would also like to recommend if you have a Home Depot or whatever nearby, see if you can buy a soil test kit...like, tomorrow if you can. See what's doing in the soil.

I don't remember, did she start turning purple after the cold nights? I think that showed up in the pistols earlier. Forget that. Just remove the bad and take photos. Soil test kit. I want to see what you have in that soil.

Is it OK to work backwards? I hate missing stuff, while catching up!

What about the soldering iron BAR? thanks:thumb: , now we have 6 cents!
I believe that's a great idea to warm the soil Trichster. Let's hear what more of the experts think. I hate to see it cause any problems within the soil.

soil warmer now plugged in.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

OK, here we go again! Let's get this "pot" stirred up, I'm hoping we can "bring it to a boil today!"

Muxy has what IMO, is a case of GANG-GREEN & may need 5 small amputations due to dead-tops, caused by 3 nights at 48°, notice all the dead tops & and dead top leaves, that are now brown toward the tips, curling straight up leaves, I think, are dead from cold.

In the bottom pic, you'll see fresh green & happy new leaf. Also, notice all the stipules are red, like on a plant that is ready to harvest, underneath the dead top with the dead stipules, is all white & happy new growth.

QUESTION IS: should the dead tops be snipped?

OR, leave it alone, and let the new growth pop out from underneath the (5) pea-sized, dry-dead-tops?

She seems to be recovering slowly, moved out of ICU & now stable, sort of.

Thanks for all your help (again), I couldn't pull this off without all of you!!:circle-of-love:

To cut, or not to cut?

Whitefly problem under control, thanks for that round!!

That isn't from cold nights. It's southern California lol. At first I thought we were seeing normal purpling of the tissues, however now that this thing has progressed, we are learning more about her story. I don't think snipping the dead tops is going to do any good just yet - maybe soon though, might just cause more harm than good. I believe unless it's a P def. that it is most likely a metal ion def. The leaves appear to be necrotic, and appearing on newer, younger growth. It is possible in the root zone, that although certain elements were replenished when you dug the whole and added your "potting soil", that there is still a depletion of very important metals that were possibly used by the plant you grew there last year (I think you grew one there). I think a Boron def. is certainly possible... check your labels to see if theres any Boron, or metals such as Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Molybdenum.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Yeah, so you may need to snip the tips, treat, and then try and keep her alive for the big reveg in June, I think this is our only chance with her now. If your lucky you'll see a harvest by her in September.

Re: WTF! Watch This Flux, 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing, presents "Fluxy Lady" fully restra

I'm actually on my first indoor grow but entertaining some outdoor grow ideas for the future.
