I've already postponed my vacation by 3 days, leaving them 7 days until I come back, even if they need water on day 5, another 2 days shouldn't make much more of a difference between life and death!
In 1964 - I was 16 - My family drove around Europe in a VW Bus, camping and staying in hostels. We went from Venice to Zagreb and then to Graz, Austria. A child of the Cold War - my only venture into a Communist country. I remember spectacular, rugged, lush landscapes, friendly people, and a delicious sambhur steak! I couldn't see what was so different. It was just a few days, but fond memories.
I would guess it's a good climate for growing
