well if you type in plant watering globes it will show you. i saw where people used water bottles beer bottles and wine bottles. i don't want to post the web cause they might frown on it cause its not a sponsor. maybe they should be a sponsor. :)

thanks Joe, they're going to need a big one, idealy the water would not start to flow until 4 days have passed,

something blocking the release, that will disintegrate after 4 days :hmmmm: yes, I need a miracle!

if they have a electric timer they could get a power head that is used in aquariums to move water around and hook up a hose to it and make small holes in the hose, submerse the power head into a 55gal drum of water so when the timer comes on it turns the power head on for a few minutes and there you go no worries at all. i can make one to show you if you want i have a fish tank with one it. should be a pretty easy thing to do. now that i think of it if i ever have to leave my plants alone and need them watered this is what I'm gonna do.

brilliant Joe :idea:, the 55 gallon drum will have to be large "Rubbermaid" type of plastic storage bin,

with timer and a plugged garden hose size

hose that is blocked , then small holes to let out a little water every 12 hours or so.

You might just make McGuyver look like a :goof: :thanks:

I put the pump in my Off Topic yard LINK is in my signature,

the 100 gallon/hour pumps are 10 US dollars,

timer: 10?

the hose cost, as low as 3 dollars at local hardware store

the water bin will cost 15?, & a longer hose can feed as many plants as you'd like $38 solution!

ok, this goes back to my needle suggestion #1, you need to experiment and prove when the bottle will run dry, there is a chance that a tiny hole will drip fine w a full bottle, but when bottle half full, the weight of the remaining water will NOT be enough to push out another drop, this fact, the less water, the slower the drip. r u with me? you should be testing this now, with all the bottles you can come up with. i would bet, many test bottles will stop at half,

I'm back to the timer until you convince me otherwise. the video states , "good for a "weekend"
