Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restrained

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I gotta leave this here...so I can find my way back. Man I get lost easy. :)

Thanks for confirming that you are human Carestaker, I think that almost everybody likes to see what they are missing on

the last/current page, in any yard.& it makes me feel better about posting & replying in reverse.

I am very proud to have a fellow "chowderhead" on board. As promised a welcome gift & to go package

We share this :passitleft: , then you hit this :bigtoke: and you can take these with you :passitleft::passitleft:

From the trace evidence, left by your "footprints", it looks like you are approaching April, keep up the good reading :bravo:

I'm glad you find it tolerable.:peace:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

You're off the chain Trichster. There's no better word than lunatic to describe you. Don't get me wrong;

You're a breath of fresh air here on 420. Far from the mundane.

:goof: , :hugs: , :thankyou: BrokeAss!! this post will never get old in this yard, a path to the high road.:circle-of-love:

instant serenity :Namaste:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I mean really. This is impossible. Would y'all please just stop having such a good time. How's an old chap supposed to keep up? :circle-of-love:

no slack given rant, moved to temp?/storage

I don't think that will be enough for drainage. Did you put a couple of inchs of pearlite at the bottom. I could be wrong but I doubt it trich. That's why I bought MY first drill. Thinking of starting a 6 strain grow , which should be exciting and a lot of work as 4 I'v never grown before. I had so many free bees that I figured let me start using them. You don't have to tell me you are just kidding T baby. You are the great kidder, that's one of the reason I follow you. Very up lifting. Keep doing what your doing.

I'm glad you follow latinbudder, this yard is sure not for everyone, lol.

Keep sharing those fluxer pics. :circle-of-love:, Now pay attention #!!

I think my hole is just right & I used rocks to cover my hole, they were noted as "clean rocks"

in the post you skimmed, lol :high-five:

I do that a lot , too.

You are a great MwNY (member with no yard) here latinbudder AKA lb. AKA #,

let's puff one :passitleft: while you tell me, why a factory would mass produce pots,

with a bottom hole, that's to small, to drain water. I appreciate the heads up and sharing it w me,

but I'm still scratchin' my head on this, and I'd like a justification story. (these are optional)

:thanks:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

new fluxy pic, IMO, she'll be done by Labor Day/ wk 1 in Sept.

but, maybe longer, looks like I killed all undesirable/s:Namaste:

Trichs buddy, you may need to defoliate her a bit to get some more airflow! Normally I wouldn't but in extreme situations I would. We have had serious 80+% RH for the past 3 weeks, and it just got worse today. Cloudy, hot and, humid all day. Rain last night + stagnate air. Definitely be prepared for more mold. I sprayed the SNS-244 today as a precaution. Just saw moths flying through the tent, will need to be on the lookout for the pupae soon.

With your situation, the stone wall that your plant sits next to does hinder the airflow quite a bit, and you have a pretty thick patch of foliage there.

May need to open her up a bit! Just think about it :thumb:

Why would a factory mass produce pots with just one hole that's to small. Answer=Why did the chicken cross the road? Some things are just what they are. Glad you put the rocks in.:lot-o-toke:Being since you mentioned it. It's time.;)

While I'm dangling here wondering how much I pissed you off, I might as well say how I would answer this.

First off, I don't claim your setup won't work. That hole may never clog, and she may grow fairly well.

But - it is the bare minimum, and far from ideal. If you want to grow annual flowers in MiracleGro on your patio, they're fine. Their design is based on how they look on your patio, not on what's ideal for maximizing plant growth. They're cheap and easy to make and sell, and they're what the general public expects. They are 'old school' - primitive - not based on all the recent advances in growing methods.

It's like you've got a 427 engine (super soil) and 4-on-the-floor (QuadraFlux), and you're going to run them in a VW Beetle.

My friend - I hate to be a pest. I hate to (maybe) piss you off, or bring on a rant.
But it truly pains me to see you continue to draw the wrong conclusion (IMHO) from Fluxy's episode.

It's worth mentioning that every time I have tried to make this point my posts have gotten lots of likes, follow-up posts from others agreeing, and zero disagreement.

I seriously doubt if you can find anyone on 420 who will say that an 18 gallon pot with one drain hole is better than one with multiple drain holes.

If you really want me to lay off and keep quiet, let me know - I'm just trying to help.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

On a lighter note - yes, the great kidder, and we all love that. The liveliest, most entertaining journal I know of, with laughs and surprises, great people and good vibes - even some amazing plants for good measure - and trichs somehow keeping it all rolling.

:thankyou: slowgro :high-five: reading your interpretation of my yard, just made all the apologies I've made in here,

vanish from my memory. I can't thank you enough for sharing that, slowgro. I appreciate everybody that visits.

I apologize for my delayed response, I still don't know how it happens. One thing I make sure I do in here,

is show my appreciation for every member, that takes the time to leave more than footprints.

Speaking of footprints, Carestaker has picked up, where he left off, leaving his "shows of appreciation", on what deems as,

worthy/funny posts, he could be reading in May's pages now, as he purges forward.

Thank you Carestaker & thanks again, slowgro!!! :passitleft::passitleft: you guys get these, I just had a :bigtoke:

Thank you Lester, I have been thinning the congestion that is lowest, I'm not a fan of popcorn nuggets, I've been cutting most of that

out. I've been afraid to do it since I became a victim of spores. I will spray a little SNS if I see any suspect areas, before I spread

her out, then she'll get cleaned up with my spring loaded "fiskars". :thanks: again Les !!

slowgro, you did not and could not, do any wrong in here and I THANKYOU, for sticking with me &

helping me from occasion darkness that can surround me. Everybody in here helps out, it's all about the 420 :circle-of-love:

I'm just trying to contribute in other yards, I wish I could follow like some visitors can.

I'm easily distracted and I tend to just bounce around sometimes, :lot-o-toke::goof:

As we purge forward, I will try to get to all my replies, before I start straying around other yards. :high-five::Namaste:

thanks agin budder, I'm glad I found a great group of visitors that "get it" I set-out to make this yard (my 2nd journal) ,

a fun place to share, ask, taunt, help, heckle, LMAO & learn how to grow bigger & better meds.

I wrote a rant about you last night budder, you started it with, the size of my hole & you put 2 large targets on your back,

and I pounced! I was a bit whacked and I pulled out of this yard and stored in a completed yard, while I ponder, where it should go.

All in fun, remeber that, I mean no harm, just practicing humor to improve our entertainment.

BAR, wanna share your "unique way of exp..........elf" line again? lol I use it often,:420: :cheertwo::thanks:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I agree, lb, although trichs must be sick of my harping on it. I'd like to see a dozen 3/4 inch holes in the bottom. And it's not just drainage - you want air to be able to get up into the soil between waterings.

Fluxy had a lot of small holes in the bottom, but she was flat on her Dolly, restricting them. The three side holes took the pressure off the bottom ones, so they clogged up and the bottom two inches got nasty. If she had been propped up off of Dolly, the bottom holes wouldn't have clogged, and the side holes would have worked as intended, providing aeration, and more of them would have been even better.

Forgive me, trichs, for being such a broken record, but I can't help it. You got the wrong message from that episode. The problem was the clogged bottom holes, period! The three side holes weren't the problem, nor did they cause the problem. All they did was mask the problem for a week or two. The message you should take from that is More Holes - Bigger Holes - Lots of Drainage - Lots of Air. You're stuck on thinking the side holes were the culprit, and they weren't. They confused the diagnosis of the true problem - the clogged bottom holes - but that does not mean they were a bad idea.

You've got to rethink it, cause you're just plain wrong, and I don't want to have to keep saying this over and over and over:lot-o-toke: Everywhere people are saying the roots like lots of drainage and lots of aeration - air pots - fabric pots - pots with hollow bottoms and slits in the sides. You're headed in the wrong direction. Fluxy needed more and/or bigger bottom holes, and she needed to be propped up off of Dolly so they could drain. With them working, she would have liked more side holes as well.

Please tell me you get it, so I can :yahoo::party::woohoo::green_heart::thumb::cheertwo::circle-of-love:

Now I get it! Thank you slowgro, that's all I needed to hear, you have no idea, how much respect I have for your posting this.

I saw what you have going on in your yard and everything I saw, was healthy. Your suggestions are like gold, to me!!

So, what is the best tool , to bore thru 5/8" kiln-dried, clay pot-bottom. Kidding, I have 3/4" diamond-China-hole-saw bits,

for the roto-zip, 1'4" dremel, a very dangerous tool, that I am very careful with.

Thanks again slowgro & budder, big-time :green_heart: and sg-REPS, before I do anything more.
