Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restrained

Re: Can you say camaflage? can you say HORROR!!

I saw it before I read your text. Ugh. It always feels weird to click 'like' on a post like this - it's a good shot and good info, but I do not like it happening to Fluxy!

take a close look, you will see a camoflaged bud eater, from moth eggs, that I missed

the horror

Reminds me of this weeks episode of Under the Dome..

Just so I understand correctly, we talking about those huge night butterflies that smash their heads into the light?

And I seen you covering Fluxy, how could this still happen

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I hope you manage to eradicate those pesky moth caterpillars with the ladybugs.
You call them ladybugs, in the UK they're ladybirds :)

did u you catch it? he could be in there with the street girls , laying eggs,

there's a good chance she smells, Pepe', the odor of buds, attracts moths from dumpsters all around you

because stinky means sticky, I think he's still in there.

The net is only deployed after sunset, this is when I see the moths come out, during daylight, most moths will be eaten by birds. The moths that I see laying eggs or the ones I see trying to fly thru the net, are nocturnal & light brown, about the size of 420 avatars or quarter size/ 1"/ 2.5cm

Maybe, the holes in the mesh/net are big enough for moths to put their arse in, allowing eggs to pass thru a mesh hole & stuck to a bud/leaf, that is touching the mesh. Allowing the net to tough any part of the plant may be a bad practice.

on the other side of the net. I find some bugs inside the net in the AM, but never had a moth get trapped inside.

It's all about inspecting for worm poop, damaged leaves & these tiny eggs. thanks daT :high-five:

Amazing detailed picture.

Did you try placing some decoy zapper lamps?

I don't know if those actually work, all I do is I've actually seen them go directly to the light, sorry we still talking about different bugs :rollit:.

thanks daT! I have not, I'm afraid that ZAP lights, could bring more critters, that are attracted to the light.

Yea but at this point if the net isn't working, that means you have to change the strategy :laughtwo:

Would be a shame to see those green monsters chew those dreamy buds Fluxy has. :high-five:

I will keep my eye out and ask around perhaps somebody has a more practical solution to it.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

thanks daT, this battle is waged every year, some years worse than others, cutting back on chemical repellents was cut-back this year,

in place of them, I tried the net, oh well, live n learn. for your input, we will now :passitleft:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Have you tried any of the following methods:

1) Lavender
2) Cloves
3) Cinnamon sticks
4) Cedar

These are supposed to all repel moths. But the proof is in the flux-ing... ;)

thank you Spimp,:high-five: not all of those, I may go check the pantry for some of those.

I have read a lot and deterents/ bait herbs & bait plants are helpful, but when the plants start to flower, get sticky & stink,

the moths find canna, second to none, as Robert Palmer says, it's simply irresistable.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

The reason I don't use moth zappers is because I live in a highly suburban area with neighbors only feet away.

Surely the sound of a very loud zapper would attract a lot of attention, I looked into the lowest power zapper that would do the job and it is still really loud at night. There is also fire hazard potentials. It needs to be at least 25 feet away from the house connected with an extension cord, so I just said forget it.
