thanks a million FuzzyDuck I have been checking the moisture over a foot down in the area, just outside/on the edge of where the soil from the transplant, meets the new soil in the ground. Today it is finally, showing signs of drying out. But, the stick still comes out moist, but far from "wet" I will see post the contents of the cal/mag in my nutes to see if I should use additional micro nutes or cal/mag supplement. Sound like a plan?

I need more members to convince when she should be fed again. No signs of her asking for water, yet.

well put my friend, thank you, I've learned a lot through this journal, more than just good grow stuff!

Many of the scholarly papers regarding the slug topic are under "paywall" meaning it costs money to even read them, but browsing of the archives reveals one of many scholarly articles referring to it Cookies Required - CAB Direct There is also a lot of papers being published in the scientific community currently that are wrong or misleading, people will do anything to get published as the lead author of a paper now days. Even JACS (Journal of American Chemical Society) is starting to lose its reputation. I certainly always lie on the side of being skeptical first until I see legit information published. So for someone to simply ask for the person who is making a claim to support their claim with evidence is not outlandish at all, in fact, I believe the person making the claim should have to supply the evidence, not make the other party go hunting around for it.

With that being said, everyone needs to RELAX and simmer down -- too much hostility in the recent pages of this journal. We all need to set aside our differences and sit in a circle and puff one out

I'm sure she is just as interested in the further information as anyone else. I thought we appreciated her because she helps separate fact from folklore.

This whole circus is based on the assumption that chaka was offended and driven away by GF's post, and demands for her apology. And still - even after chaka has said he was not offended, not driven away, and does not see any reason for an apology.

Sorry its taken a few days to reply but ol fuzzy has had a touch of man flu recently & being slightly off colour...


Mmm revegging out doors, ye that is a tough one... i don't think much can be done as you are limited to nature & the natural on set of flowering etc

How ever Muxy/purple is showing signs of new growth/regeneration so damage is being repaired & may view this as revegging naturally as plants have a way of catching up from hard times

But !

I'm not sure when Mj starts too flower on average in your neck of the woods ?

The off set may reduce yield ? might cause stress to hermie the girl ? i'm not overly sure at the moment on what an out side girlie may do ? time will tell tho... & will be an interesting learning curve.

Plants in paving slabs are dandelion.

But some plants can used as sacrificial plants to gain the interest of some insects... lets just say some plants are a more preferred choice than others, just knowing what one !


Well slugs 'n' snails are pretty easy to deal with.

1.. Slug/snail pellets any good garden center will stock them..


2. Beer traps work, ya wanna do search on the internet for that one & should come up with many options giving the slugs 'n' snails a happy ending


3. Slugs/snails don't like slithering over sharp stuff so crushed sea shells work sprinkled around the plant.


4. Another good one is copper wire/pipes or coins... what this does is cause a mild electric shock which reacts with the slim of slug/snail... that is 100% fuzzy

I use that on runner beans...

just need to make perimeter of copper coins/pipe/wire around plant, sections of copper pipes can be split down side and used as a collar around base stem of the plant but may need suitable sized piping depending on stem girth/size !

Thanks gain Fuzzy, I don't let snails or slugs in my yard, you can thank BB, for that proliferation aka giant orgy! I hope that plant of his is still a plant, when he's back in action. Great snail/slug erreadication methods FD! I like the electro & copper method, that's some good torture, the glass is good too, especially if you dig a circle around the girl and build the (ol'Festus) "moat of glass"

good morning all im glad to see GF back I started to feel bad felt like I was becoming a source of trouble not good, but it all over now anyhow i'm hoping my nutrients arrive today my lady have to be getting hungry, slightly of topic iv also planted my own tobacco this year will be a complete organic blunt now that's something to look forward to.

good evening chaka99! very interesting, the complete original blunt! Would you mind sharing a pic of do you plant the tobacco from seed or cutting? That could have the makings for a very cool journal. As long as you're growing medicine beside it, I think that is within 420 guidelines

but, it has a happy ending today. I'll asssume you had a snail invasion experience? or was it slugs, yuck! The snails in the pics you saw are in the UK! I'm in S California but ours look a lot like those. He's a 420 buddy of ours (high BB ) a great helper & very accomplished grower. Anyway I'm rambling, lol. BB, he put a healthy plant outside and it was doing great then the same day you came around , he posted that horifying picture to share his nightmare & ask for help. You jumped in at the right time. I planted them from seed very easy, ill get some pics up of them in my room next to the bonsai and stretch ( my silly long plant). that would be cool to see how your tobacco looks, mine are coming along quit well but I would imagine yours should be awesome with the whether u get.
