Wardrobe Grow - CFL- Only - Auto Mazar + Rescued Cannatonic + Dieseltonic

Greatlife4all keeps going on about reptile UV tubes and how they bring out the trichomes, bringing the flowers and trichs up to outdoor quality in an indoor environment, within the effective range of the UV-B Tube (20")

20" should cover cannatonic :)

:straightface:I dont like that idea I mean I know you can smoke a toad but smoking reptile would make me a little scaled

There are no Lizards in the lamp, Jaga :)

It's just that the UVB is necessary for reptiles to produce vitamin D3,

which in turn enables them to metabolise cacium from their food.

In our sacred herb, the UVB and A stimulate trichome growth and increase flavinoid production.

It's a mechanism to protect the "seed" from damage from UV rays.

We like this.

Rico, I have seen anecdotal evidence that one of my plants (Tiger Lilly) turns purple on her stems in the areas most exposed to sun. Do you have any theories on this? I have found nothing scientific to corroborate my observations, but I do see a strong directionality between exposed areas and purple. I am interested to hear your thoughts.

That colour is Anthocyanin, a pigment or flavinoid that protects against UV light :)

Ask me something else

No UV bulb today. I spent ages checking the bunker and almost caught the moth

Finally an answer! I am so happy right now. Rico you are a maven my friend. When I have another question worth asking, I know where to come. Ty to you too Spimp, some good points you brought up, and that was my experience exactly. So many times I was hearing deficiencies deficiencies, but it just didn't add up. Now I can use this as an excuse too when I do have deficiencies!
