Voodoo's 600W Top Fed Rdwc SCROG Random Strain

I believe for best results there must be a minimum of an inch in the water. The roots seem to mainly extend from the sides of the stem rather than the cut tip. the bottom 5mm seems to remain dormant at least this cutting has till now. The other cutting I took when this photo was taken so roughly 3 days or so behind but no roots yet possibly because it is not as submerged as the other cutting.

Went silly with the camera so heres a few shots of their current state

Happy Munchday SW:)
your going to have a jungle in that tent in no time:bravo:

Thanks fishy! Yeah I have to flip it this week this veg has gone on way too long! I think Ill be at week 7 of grow this w/e what with all the dramas I had kicking off.
I just wish I could get them a little more central the left side is a little bare. Maybe the stretch will cover it.
For the best part they are going well, all the lower tips are at net height or close to it starting to fill the holes in the screen with tips. The smaller tips I leave poking through the screen and the larger tips I poke under the wire hoping the smaller tips may get a few more auxins being that bit higher. They seem quite easy to manipulate if you don't let them poke through too far. Ive been deleafing small amounts every couple of days to allow some light to the lower shoots most of which are now at canopy height so I should get away with just tucking the leaves under the new tips now.
EC was a little high (rising) so brought it back a little and they are drinking a heap.

Cheers stealth! Yeah its starting to fill out, a lot of tips filling holes now, I think its time... Ive changed my mind 6 times this afternoon. Its due a change on thurs so that will be the day I feel. Im running a passive intake at the moment (the flap at bottom of tent open) Im thinking I should probably tape up that vent and duct air in to avoid any light leaks as they will be sleeping during the day and the room my tent is in is not completely light proof, mostly, but not perfect. and im not 100% on the zipper, it does have the flap anyone had any dramas?
:peace: Voodoo

Happy Tokesday SW:)
nice roots:thumb:

Looking very nice voodoo - the roots on that cutting are really healthy. I'm sure the left side of your screen will fill up in no time as you train the growth over that way, it's amazing how they fill out as they flower. A little room to play with is always nice, it's when the room runs out and everything hits the ceiling you curse!

(And thank you for the reps too mate, much appreciated)

Note to self check the auto correct on my phone.

BIG waves on the pond people. My wife calls me at work, sinks gurgling. I think nothing of it. Checking my grow tonight, hear a gurgling sound and find waste water is backing up in my shed through a service pipe! F@#K! so the plumber has to enter the shed my tent is in to access the service pipe to flush the main line right next to my f@#king tent! AArrgh! So out comes the entire setup. It still looks dodgey but nothing incriminating. Seeing as I was going to flip her anyway Ive put her into darkness for 24 hrs in my house till this problem is fixed. Because it was so rushed Ive not really gone about it the right way but we do what weve gotta. They were only in light for a couple of hours and ive had to get em out so im expecting a heap of shock. Poor girls. Bottom of my tent was wet had to thoroughly clean and dry that. OH what a night of horrors that could have been even worse. Im bloody rooted.

Sorry to read this SW but I think you will be ok with the move. Just leave the lights off until the next cycle.
They are still in veg so a chance of a hermi is real low.

Sorry to hear about that SW! Good jump on that issue though, sounds like you were pretty calm and collective at the time some reps for you buddy. Never really had to put my girls into the darkness, I would trust what fish had to offer no doubt :Namaste:

I've read a lot of people put the plants into dark for 24 hrs prior to flowering and I couldn't provide proper lighting for that period so I figured why not give it a go . They will be going straight to flower cycle after a good flush a nd complete reconstruction of the tent. Getting the screen back on will be fun. My poor babies.

Hi Voodoo, I was talking to another member (ronnie6690) about this same issue cause he said he was about to put his ladies to sleep for 36 hours before he flipped to 12/12. I asked him why and he said he does it with his peppers and tomato's also, It gets the plant ready for flower period more than just flipping to 12/12 without dark period. When plants are in the dark they build up their flowering hormones or whatever, Its not unusual to see pistils within 24-48 hours when you do this, and it actually helps the plants go from veg state to flower state...or so I'm told. ;)
