Volksball's First Grow: White Widow Feminized Grow Journal 2018

Good morning, growers.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to water now that I've pinned my girls down to the perimeter of the pot? I used to tip a measuring cup into side openings, between leaves and branches to water, but now there are few side openings given the placement of pipe cleaners/kola tops. I'm sure there's an obvious solution, but I can't think of it.

Thanks.

Every once in a while, you answer your own question. See link below if you're needing the same solution.

Hey everyone,

Just as @Emilya and I imagined a few weeks back, these girls are getting monstrous. They've filled a 4x4 space in a 5x5 tent.

Question:

Do I stop topping to allow the new splits to grow in, as I will be coming close to flower soon? I though that I should likely stop, so to allow all branches to mature, and the plant's interior to fill out while waiting to flip next week.

Thx.

I would let them grow out now.
My thinking as well. Thanks for weighing in!

You think I can go another week before the flip? I was thinking to retrain them out wide again, let the interiors grow out and get strong for another week, put on a scrog/trellis to control what will be tall plants if I don't, then flip next weekend.

Good plan?

That's what I would do and then switch to flowering. They are going to double in size. Here are mine

picture from yesterday daily number 17 into flowering I think they are finished stretching.
Holy smokes! That looks like 4 plants to me. If mine react at all like yours, I filling that 5x5 quite easily. Nice work!

Countdown to Feb. 1 flip!

Seems like a good enough date, and what else does anyone do on a Friday night!?

Hi again,

As mentioned, I'd better get a scrog going soon, or else these girls are going to hit the light come flower. @Emilya suggested a betting that had 2x2 squares and was wire. Most are 6x6, but I found this one. Unfortunately, wire ones cant be found, but would the below product do the trick? I'm hoping to buy today and have it installed tomorrow-ish.

And why do so many have 6x6 squares if the ideal is 2x2?

Thx.

I have never done a scrog The netting you showed unless I'm reading it wrong the squares are 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm so only one inch wide square I'm not sure that would be big enough. The ones I have seen in my local grow shop I have squares that are probably 4 in I would personally go with something bigger. But I'm just guessing I have never done a scrog.
