ViparSpectra KS5000 Helps GDB Seek Anxiety!

So revolting icky yuck beautiful!
The guys call it a "tail" and you call it a "tongue." :laughtwo:

Hello growers.

I'm having to water the Anxiety babies everyday now so it's time to up-pot them. In fact, I think I should have done it a little sooner as the leaves on their first nodes are just beginning to yellow a bit. They are on day 18 in the cups now. I fed them 1/2 tsp of Roots Organics Grow/Foundation (mixed) on Christmas Eve. They will go into their final 3 gallon homes today.

----------

I moved the newest baby, the Crescendo (day 6) into the 2x2 a few days ago as it was getting a little chilly in my man cave during the overnights. The tent will provide her with a better general environment.

The Pineapple Express clone (day 42) is still not getting a lot of my attention. I cannot remember if I've fed her since her up-pot 5 days ago. I don't see it in my notes so I should probably assume that I have not. I've given up completely on trying to remember what I do to the plants from day to day. I just write down everything and rely on my notes. I'll feed her today.

My memory no longer serves me correctly! :)

Thanks for your attention.

Hello again all.

I got the three Anxiety babies up-potted to their 3 gallon final homes, starting today at 3:15pm.

I view every time I move plants from solos to pots as a chance to try something new (to me). I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing, but that's how I look at it. At some point I should probably settle on one way to do it and just stick to it.

Anyway, I said earlier that I was going to use recycled soil for this grow. But lately I've been thinking about how this is a sponsored grow for the @ViparSpectra KS5000 so maybe I should be putting my best foot forward and not piddling around with used soil.

So I decided to go with my fav soil, Roots Organics Lush from an up-opened -- if not exactly new -- bag.

The pot set up went as follows:

Bottom layer: perlite, about an inch deep covering the bottom surface

Next: Half way up the pot with Lush
Into that: mixed in 1 tblspn of Neem Seed Meal, 1 tablspn of Insect Frass and more perlite. Stirred all that together. Moistened well with spray bottle. (I'm going with the Neem and Frass in order to try and reduce my reliance on SNS products. I love them but would much rather save them for "must-have" situations.)

Next: Insert solo cup for hole. Sprinkle Xtreme Mykos into holes. Fill remainder of pot with lush. Moistened with spray bottle.

Next: Un-soloed plants, sprayed roots and sprinkled Mykos on the roots. Put the plants in and water them in with 1/2 liter of water in and around their now-imaginary solo cup.

Back in the tent at 4:30 pm.

I'm thinking that by tomorrow morning these girls will look much happier than they do now. If not by tomorrow, then the next day.

In any event, as soon as they show me they're good with the new arrangement and are ready to get back to work, I'll be moving them to the 4x4 under the @ViparSpectra KS5000!

Thanks for popping in.

PEACE.

The babies look happy in their new digs, GDB!
I've given up completely on trying to remember what I do to the plants from day to day.
Yep, I'd be lost without my notes- and I only grow 1 at a time... 😬

I cannot remember if I've fed her since her up-pot 5 days ago.
I also put a couple of tablespoons of insect frass into the pot and also topped her soil with earth worm castings.
This one:
After up-potting her I fed her 1 tsp of Roots Organics Grow + 1 tsp of RO Foundation.
Looks like you did... :thumb:

Hello growers.

I was hoping today would be Moving Day for the Anxiety babies (day 20). However the Purple Star Killer still looks a bit unhappy so I'll hold off for another day. The Gush Mints and Reeze McFlurry have settled in and are ready to roll, but I want to move them all at the same time.

I believe during the up-pot process I may have over-watered the PSK by a tad!

The tiniest baby, the Crescendo, is pushing out her second set of leaves on her day 8.

Good morning Bill and thanks for the kind words.

Luckily, we didn't get a storm here just a major blast of super-cold air over the past few days, a side effect of the Cyclone Bomb storm that hit many nearby regions. ("Cyclone Bomb," not a bad name for a strain!)

Enjoy your day my friend! :Rasta:

VIPARSPECTRA KS5000!

It was moving day for the Anxiety babies today!
Into the 4x4 and under the Big Light they go!

Good morning growers.

I got the Anxiety babies (day 22) moved into the 4x4 last night.

Admittedly, I didn't get these little ones off to the greatest of beginnings. Hopefully they have short memories and will forgive my early neglect. (That's the Pineapple Express clone front right.)

Now is the time to see the @ViparSpectra KS5000 do her thing! She currently basking them in about 35K Lux.

I left the Crescendo alone in the 2x2 under about 25K Lux. She's on day 10.

I need to get the 4x4 plants off the floor -- 4 milk crates will do. Having them on the floor means a lot of bending over and getting on my knees - 2 actions that lead to much squawking from the Lazy-Meter. :)

Thanks for looking in.

PEACE.

Hello growers.

I am in awe over how damn bright this @ViparSpectra KS5000 is! I must wear my protective eyewear when I open the tent and the light is hanging beneath my waistline. I'm thinking it's got to be too bright for the babies on day 23. So I turned it down a notch, bringing the lux down (from 35K) to about 25K.

I'll see how the plants react and either leave it there for a while or bring it back up.

It's also getting quite hot in the tent. This is related in part to the temp in the house. I forgot to turn the heat down after the Cyclone Bomb air mass left the area. We're back to somewhat normal temps now (50-60F) instead of close to zero so the house is a bit toasty. I've handled that. (My house is in need of a more modern heating set-up. This old, rickety stuff I've got doesn't work as it should. My thermostat should be named a "thermostatic.")

In summary, I am going through a learning curve with this new light.

And here is the Crescendo on her day 11.

I've decided to start feeding her MC, though I may switch to something else before she's done. This evening she'll get her first taste @ 1.5g per gallon.

So as the year 2022 moves to within range of the rear-view mirror, remember, "Objects Are Closer Than They Appear."

I know that's deep but, hey, that's how I roll! :)

Wishing all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

PEACE.
