I have used it but in trace amounts and it really showed. I was just wondering if you use it at 1/2 or 1/4 strength. I used it very lightly at week 5 and week 6 1 week apart but mixed at 1/8 strength so barely any. But the one plant that got none was definitely slightly more skinny and less resinous. still good but not like the others.

You got my vote chief!

I was actually using it at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, or whatever the recommended dosage is.( for full strength)
But I was using it on flush days, where other nutes were not present.

So you think the Dry Kool Bloom is important? That's one of the GH items I didn't pick up for this first batch. When I used GH 15 years ago, we had Gro, Micro, and Bloom. To that we added epsom salts and Superthrive. That was it other than bleach for cleaning. I thought we grew dank back then. Outta still work right? LOL I am trying to cut some costs, and all these additives seemed like a good place to start. Besides, by growing with less bottles on the shelf, I will be able to see if it makes a difference later on.

I did get the liquid Kool Bloom. Haven't used it yet though. Will be mixing my transition res tonight or tomorrow, so I'll finally get to break the seal on that jug!

No, I don't think it is that important at all.
But If I was to pick between Liquid Koolbloom and Koolbloom dry? I'd stick with the Liquid hands down.

You can use it all the way up to flush, and it really does make a difference in my opinion.
I think it's a great idea to do what you're doing. Eliminate some bottles on the shelf.
Do a grow or 2 with just the basics, then add some things down the road so you can experience what they do for you.

I use the 3 part Flora line.
with the addition of some other GH's addatives:

-Liquid Koolbloom/dry
-Floralicious plus
-Cal mag +
-Bio Root

then on top of that, I use:
-superthrive
-drip clean
-Grozyme
-Pro Gaurd
when needed..


I have tried with and without.
And feel that with all these, I get a complete balanced diet throughout my grows.
it's just what I feel works for me.
With my outdoor, I'll just use diluted 3 part, and save the goodies for under the HID's

I'm using the GH Flora 3 part as well. I did get the FloraBlend in addition to the Liquid KoolBloom. I'm also using the Calmag (GH), Superthrive, H2O2, Hygrozyme, and DM Zone. oh ya and some epsom salts :)

Then I look at my nute regime and I should learn to practice what I preach a bit.. lol

I hear ya about the less is more. It applies to so many things, even art.

I keep going back to that one video of the guy growing that trainwrech under 1 600w hps and getting over a pound. Medium, rockwool. All he used was floragrow, floramicro, and florabloom. Nothing else. Didn't even ph his water.

I have to try that. It will be hard, though because it is so tempting to, go, oh, well, Just a bit of calmag or just a bit of hygrozyme.

After just 10 minutes defoliating one plant. These OG's had my fingers crazy glued together.

If your water is good to start with, you don't necessarily need to ph the water. With my tap, I did, but with RO, the GH flora line always makes the res exactly 5.9 everytime.
