Vetsmoke Goes Perpetual With Bonsai Mothers, Clones & DIY Builds

Had no response to my email so rang the place I ordered the fan from. No apology or anything just told the details will be passed onto the lady who does the online orders and she'll arrange a collection. I've been thinking about a career change and reckon I'll look seriously into the ins and outs of opening a shop myself. One where I take my customers satisfaction seriously.

They actually got back to me after a nudge. 2 options. 30% refund or they collect and replace. Said I'll test it tonight to see how badly the damage impacts the performance. I suspect it'll cause a bit of extra turbulence and make it louder and less efficient. Perhaps I could carefully bend it back. Likely best to just get it replaced though.

that fan is useless. it might have been a repack or return by a third party facilitator. it happens more and more due to internet shopping.

You can see here where it's just been pressed into the top of the box then obviously been bashed about on it's travels.

If it’s just the flange that is bent where flex connects to the fan, it should be able to be worked back straight with a pair of pliers. From what I can see there that’s all it needs.

That still is frustrating to receive damaged goods though.
:lot-o-toke:
Yeah it looks like that's the only damage. Will have a better look and test it when I get home from work.

Enough of the boring stuff anyway. Here's what you're all here for. Seeing if @Grand Daddy Black will ever get bored of looking at her .

GG has been out for another feed. Steady at the moment every 2 days. On 5.75g MC, 3ml bio-silicon & 4ml top-max per gallon. Last 2 feeds had the 2nd treatment of Tanlin added. Haven't seen any fungus gnats for a while now.

Unless my techies eye is starting to fail me she's definitely getting fatter. With trichomes on trichomes. Ha ha. 43 days from flip.

That's a healthy bunch in that tent, Vet!
So, those will be in there for apx. 3.5 more weeks?
That is going to be one packed tent!

how badly the damage impacts the performance
As long as the blower wheel/fan isn't bent, that thing should work fine- as DAB said, straighten things out with some pliers, and you should be good to go.
If they send a replacement, there's a chance it'll be damaged too- I'd just take the 30% discount and use this one (unless the fan is bent- that's a game changer)...just my 2¢...

Yeahhhhhhh..... Think I started them a week or two early. Not sure how I'll play it yet but I'll figure something out.
Hey Vet, gonna grab this bean bag if ya don't mind!
:welcome: Take as long as you need. No rush. Happy to have you here.

One other thing I've noticed on the GG. The nodes are offset on each side. Sure on all my other plants they've grown directly opposite each other. Normal?
This may have been addressed already, and if so I apologize. Alternating nodes is a sign of sexual maturity. Early on with seedling, the plant will have even nodes. Once a plant reaches sexual maturity ( don't mistake sexual maturity with showing presex flowers, they aren't the same thing) the nodes will start alternating.

Why is sexual maturity important? A plant can't flower out until it reaches sexual maturity. You can flip the lighting but the plant won't start flowering until it reaches sexual maturity. Most plants, that takes place somewhere in 35-45 day range from seedling. The tricky part is when you start growing equatorial sativas, often times they won't reach sexual maturity until the 60-90 day range. Its one of the reasons growers reporting those sativas are so long flowering. Its also one of the reasons people assume cuttings flower out faster than seedlings.....cause they are comparing flipping sexually mature cuttings with sexually immature seedling plants.

GG is growing nicely at the moment but the rh is hitting 70%. I've flicked the intake fan onto full power and hope that will bring it down a bit. Had to order a 120mm AC infinity S3 fan to replace the circulation fan I have in there. It's way too noisy and pissing the Mrs off. Ha ha. Managed to find a female micro USB to female USB adapter too so I don't have to disturb anything running a new cable out of the tent. Should be much quieter.
You will love that AC Infinity fan.....its the only ones I use in my set ups now. So quiet and the options for settings is top of the line. Anyone on the fence about a fan, go ahead and jump on that AC Infinity train, its an amazing fan! My only issue with it is that if I have a power surge or lose power, I have to go back down and manually set it back up to the setting and power level I want it running at. I wish it revert back to the prior setting.
