Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant SOG

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant

Thanks for the link---I watched the vid with my mom about a month ago and she loved it! After looking at the vapes, I was a little overwhelmed, and I think mom will be too, she's more old school, roll a dube and burn it kind of gal, so all the contraptions and filters and tubes and remote controls I think would be more distracting and confusing than fun and ritualistic like it is for the "kids these days" lol. So the NO2 looks like the most simple of the ones you mentioned, but maybe I'm confused about that too :)

By the way the sog and buds are lookin' dope. Nice work there soil feeder ;) I'll have to try high brix one day.

I thought I already told you about the video! That's cool, it's worth posting for everyone else to see! :thumb: Everybody should try high Brix on at least one grow...if not cannabis, some vegetables at least! :)

If you load the NO2 the same way the O2 Mini loads that't the only down side I can think of...the "chamber" was very small, and I discovered I had to really concentrate to load it again during a session. The Solo is pretty straight forward and the easiest portable to work with that I know of, with only two parts not counting the charger. The Extreme Q has the advantage of being able to fill a bag...but unless there are several people over I just use the whip.

I'll put up some pics of my two in the next day or so you can see things up close, and give you an idea how they work...I think you'd be surprised at how quickly you get into the the a "vaping ritual"...and one of the very best features is that there's virtually no smell!

I use cannabis daily...and whether it cures cancer or not, my lungs were taking a beating from smoking as much as I was. Within a couple of weeks of switching over to vaping, I could tell a huge difference!

It's going to depend on what's in the tea and what your temps are... Are you using Nature's Own? I just went down ant took this pic. This is 2 gallons of tea that has been brewing in a 5 gallon bucket for 20 hours at ~70º F.
Tea1.jpg

This batch would never make it 36 hours without using up the food or O2...if the former happens it will just poop out...if the latter occurs, it will "turn anaerobic" (think pathogens!) and you don't want that.

Im using xtreme tea brew by xtreme gardening. Mine has absolutely no foamy bubbles like yours. im using 3 gallons in a 5 gal bucket with 2 airstones moving the liquid around

FWIW, I've tried several different teas, including making my own and xtreme's tea.

Nature's Own tea makes them all look silly. Nothing else comes close, and the soil responds much better to the Nature's Own. Mine foams up exactly the same as the pic you see above. That means it's working.

the comment about the tea with no bubbles would concern me as the bubbles tell us the microbes are very happy and having a wild party, i have come across people making tea then leaving it to sit in a fridge before adding air, this lets them grow and gets them more lively when taken out the fridge and mixed and bubbled, but if your not getting any bubbles then id think their is some sort of problem with the tea mixture, possibly to old, not sure im not an expert im sure someone will jump in and give some advice

I would agree with Doc...not all teas are created equal!

I haven't tried the extreme tea brew, but like donpaul said if the microorganisms are multiplying you should see it foam up. You could try brewing longer, or at a warmer temp...but I've brewed up many different tea recipes, with top quality ingredients, and I can say that Nature's Own puts everything else I've brewed to shame, and I can whole-heartedly recommend it! :thumb:

Thanks bros! :adore:

I haven't been around the forums much the last few days...we've had some rain come through, and when ever that happens my old injuries always start acting up...arithitis(?) I've been told. My back is always the worst, with my knees taking second place. I joke with my friends that I'm a human barometer...I can tell if it's going to rain by how much I hurt! :)

Well...a few times a year, they'll be a weather system that comes through that almost cripples me... I know that sounds strange, but it's true. Starting this past weekend, one of those systems has been moving through the area, and I haven't been having much fun. It took me almost an hour just to get out of bed this morning.

It's difficult to describe what it's like, but I'll put it this way... Quite a while back I was involved in a serious accident. I was minding my own business, driving home from work late one night, and a drunk 19 year old going about 112 MPH (I say 112 MPH because that's what the police clocked him doing on radar seconds before he hit me) came up and hit me from behind...I was traveling at 60 MPH at the time...to sum it up, I flipped over a guardrail took out a small tree in the process and my vehicle eventually came to a rest on it's side. I had to climb out the driver's side window, which was now on top.

The reason I told you that story is because, no exaggeration, when these weather systems come through, I feel like I did the days following that accident, where it just hurts to move...anything!

All I can do is try to stay medicated, which does help, but it still takes a lot of energy to do what I have to do around here, so my apologies for not being around. The rain is supposed to clear tomorrow and be gorgeous for the end of the week and weekend...once this weather clears I'll be fine again, almost like magic!

I will get an update up tomorrow or Thursday. They have been done stretching and are starting to pack on some weight now! :high-five: I'm very pleased, and I'll think you'll like how they're doing!

I had to move up their watering schedule to every 3rd day, but I'm still following the tea, water, tea, fertilizer routine. Every 3rd day, means they are getting tea every 6 days and fish/seaweed blend every 12. The day I water, I'll probably keep adding the molasses.

I also had some work to do in the mom cave. I cut everything back, and took some new clones from the Ice, Super Lemon Haze, and Blueberry...12 of each strain to be exact. I won't keep them all, but a few will be my newest moms! I'm still working to find the best way to shape a mother plant, and think I have it down now. I also culled a couple of my Ice moms...I had too many for that strain, and needed to get my plant numbers down.

I've also been dealing with a fungus gnat problem... When I first mineralized my moms, all the fungus gnats seemed to leave and go die somewhere. Well, apparently they came back...and brought some friends! They aren't hurting the plants at all, it's just a nuisance...I'll go into that more a bit later!

:thanks: everyone!

:Namaste:

Re: Vapedogg223’s Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant

sounds like you had some pain then mate, im hoping the meds you produce really do help you my friend, i lost my fiance to drunk driver so now im a single dad doing my best to cope with a 5 and 7 year old boy n girl, so lifes tough, i got insomnia real bad and thats one of the reasons i need the meds im growing, plus it helps to make mind off things and makes life a bit better for me, but you was on the other end of a drunk driver where you got hit, so cant imagine the recovery process involved with that, by the sounds of it you went through a lot just to pull through, each days a struggle but when we can grow something to ease the pain and make life that much easier then why shouldnt we, i just wish the law and government would change where i live and to finally not be labeled a criminal for growing a few plants for personal use, its about time my country caught up with the us and gave people med cards to allow them to grow

Re: Vapedogg223’s Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant

I too have my physical and emotional crosses to bear but when I read some of the stories that you two and so many other so bravely share I am inspired. It's usually not done to garner sympathy or pity but to reach out to others instead, to say it's not just you and you aren't alone and that makes it even more amazing. When we can take our own pain and suffering and turn it around to try to make something good come from it then I believe we are reaching our highest potential as human beings. I've seen it happen eventually in almost every thread I've read and it's the thing I've come to appreciate the most about this place.

Sending good vibes in your directions...even if I don't know EXACTLY what direction that is...lol. :circle-of-love:

Vape,

Same thing here, cant seem to get rid of them. Not harming the plants, but a real nuisance.

This grow should be complete in a week or two. Clean the room good, fresh soil.

I read they like moist soil and organic soil. Might be an never ending battle. I had weed block on top of the soil at first, but my friend doesn't like it for some reason. I think weed block and some gravel on top next time might prevent major infestation.

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant

Thanks Vape, looking forward to the pics ;)

I was able to take some pics of the Solo this morning, but the Extreme Q might have to wait until I'm feeling a little better.

This is what it came with (not counting some potpourri and a potpourri bowl)...
Arizer_Solo_01.jpg

I thought I was going to like the bent stem, but after using it extensively, I actually prefer the straight one. When I bought it, I also ordered extra stems...one of each shape. Lets be honest, we get high...and sometimes glass gets broken...:smokin:

The only two buttons on it are an up and down arrow, but those two buttons serve many purposes. Holding both down turns the unit on, Holding down the Up turns the audible beep for button presses on/off, holding down the Down when it's idle, sets the temperature to it's last setting, etc.
Arizer_Solo_02.jpg

The top has a hard rubber type flap that covers the heating chamber during travel.
Arizer_Solo_03.jpg

This is the newest model (the 106) it has a stainless steel heating element. I believe the 105 had a ceramic element...I have no Idea why they switched. It looks more like brass in the pic, but it is a stainless steel that has discolored slightly from the heat...the photo makes it look more brassy than it actually is.
Arizer_Solo_04.jpg

You load your product into the stem, not the chamber. There are 4 small holes that act as a screen.
Arizer_Solo_05.jpg

Now I wasn't originally planning on partaking...but really to fully demonstrate how to properly medicate using this vaporizer, I really think I should. But only for educational purposes! :grinjoint:

So...the ritual begins. You'll want to start with some quality medicine...I have a White Widow nug I'll be demonstrating with, :) but any quality buds will do!
Arizer_Solo_06.jpg

Arizer_Solo_07.jpg

First I turn on the unit so it can warm up...it only takes a couple of minutes to warm up, but it does seem to hit harder when you've been using it and its been on for a little while. My favorite setting at the moment is 392º F, which is setting number 5.

I have been using the large Mendo Mulcher for a couple of years now, and really like it! :thumb:
Arizer_Solo_08.jpg

It's sharp teeth make short work of even the stickiest, densest buds!
Arizer_Solo_09.jpg

Arizer_Solo_10.jpg

It took me a little practice to learn how tightly to pack the stem...too loose and you suck pieces through the holes...too firm and you can't draw through it. But this right here is just right!
Arizer_Solo_11.jpg

Arizer_Solo_12.jpg

So now the Solo was up to temp...the Heat light goes on and off as the unit maintains your setting.
Arizer_Solo_13.jpg

Then just insert the stem into the unit, and your ready to vape!
Arizer_Solo_14.jpg

It automatically shuts off every 12 minutes to save battery life, but you can turn it right back on, and it's already hot. The battery takes about 4 hours to charge if it's completely drained...and is good for 4-5 hours of use, depending on the temperature setting you use. When you first turn it on, the heat setting LEDs illuminate to show you the battery level for a second or two, then revert to to the heat level.

As much as I love my desktop Extreme Q, the Solo, since it's portable is much more convenient, and using it would probably feel more familiar to someone that was used to joints, bowl, etc...

I also bought the optional car charger, and desk transformer. The charger it comes with is just that, a charger...if you want to use it plugged in, you'll need to buy the desk transformer, but I imagine most people will be purchasing the Solo for it's portability.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but if I left something out you would like to know about, don't be shy...ask away!

:Namaste:

I use a product called Gnatrol...it's a biological larvicide that's OMRI listed and has worked well for me but no idea what harm if any it would do to your microherd???? Only took 2 applications last time I used it and they were gone for the rest of the grow.
