Took the day pretty chill, had time to do some defol, pruning, more training, watered everything with the new batch of teas (odor free  ), did a foliar using horsetail/neem/seaweed. All the phenos seem to either be in preflower or shifting to it, the end of the week puts our daylength time to 15:09:21, exciting times. Today was a sunny day plans are digging it.

The clones

They are doing great, growing soo fast now. These girls are gonna stay in these pots so lets see what they come up with. Im hoping to stress one or two and maybe get them to make a seed or two. We will see.

The biggest plant is the one I had "isolated" I released her after weeks of progress and she is bug free.

This is the same branch we have been looking at for several weeks.

Did some defol and pruning, took a lot of nonsense on the inside, most of it serves as a mold making machine.

Overall I have maintained the canopies from becoming 6ft high main colas, turned them into multiple mid size colas with potential to be real heavy bud sites. Managed to maintain horizontal growth while keeping the site stealth (as much as possible), as we reach the peak of the season the whole garden is shifting as well. August will bring much different colors and smells. looking forward to it.

Really healthy looking plants! And your training looks fabtabulous! :thumb:

Thanks Azi, just been trying to keep it consistent with the watering, feeding, training and preventive spraying. Things are moving positively so I’m a happy grower.

I would have to report I’m very happy with the horsetail at the moment.

Thank you Bill for the kind words, its been a work load for this season but got the first part done, now flowering is the time when they become more susceptible cant keep the gard down.

Right now we have a heat wave but its not crazy, the sun around 4-7 pm looks like one big 1000w MH bulb just right on top us lol great times.

From my last experience outdoor on the island (2018 I was around barkley sound thats completly west) September brings high humidity and rain, so flowering becomes a bud rot and mold heaven. Hopefully this year we have a break and September remains mildly wet and the heat extends all thru mid October. I got a couple plants will probably go all the way till mid October.

Hows your week going?

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Nursing a toothache at the moment, but everything else is great thanks.
Sorry I missed the beginning but I'd love to follow and see girls fill out.
I haven't flipped the greenhouse to flower yet.
I'm waiting for 10 hrs darkness.
I just hope I can harvest before it snows.
Talk soon Amigo.

If the pain is too much, I would suggest a poppy tincture. If you want to make it; throw 5 fresh poppy bulbs in to some everclear, let it sit for 3 weeks at least and use it. If need quick action boil the whole poppy plant in water and have that as tea. Probably would put you to sleep but takes care of the pain.

Yeah it’s tricky when you want to force flower or use supplement lights for flower when outdoors.
Gotta plan it out good. Where about are ya? Ontario?

Stunning and BC is the canna capital of Canada in my opinion. Good peeps there too.
And the natural techniques are off the charts and not for virgin growers.
Very, very well done Danish 👍
Thank you kindly, I love working with cannabis aint nothing better than growing it, I find it as medicinal to grow it as it is to smoke it.

All this training is a mix of indoor techniques with outdoor lay out and lots of thinking. I wouldn’t suggest this style to beginner growers as it will break stems with no return. I started with LST and started getting confortable with the plant anatomy took me like 5 years to really learn solid.

I do agree with BC been the epicentre of cannabis in Canada, most of the reputed breeding is coming from BC. I won’t lie I moved from Quebec to BC due to the cannabis outdoors grow season, the progressive way of thinking and the landscape.

Semi northern Ontario, I've wore a sweatshirt almost every day this month.
It's supposed to be warm in July.
Hopefully the greenhouse helps me finish nice and dry.
Bud rot is heartbreaking.
I can always throw the BBQ in there for heat in October if worse comes to worse.
Take care.

Very amazing horizontal stealth action going on in your garden.

When are you going to stop super-cropping your girls, now that flowering is fast approaching?
Thank you kindly Farmer, I am planning on stopping the training as soon as I see over 30% buds forming. Or as soon as the pheno stops stretch and consolidates bud sites.

I couldnt make the update yesterday, Such a hot day. I finished work and went to check on the plants, the time was around 4-5pm so you can get an idea of whats the sunlight like at that time around here, Its perfect reminds me really of MH lights for flowering.
All plants are doing great I couldnt get all of them in picture I only had 50 mins to do many things. Watered everything with 250 ml of the concentrated tea I have now and diluted with seaweed tea, did routine defol and pruning, some training on the phenos that are still in veg.
I didnt do a spray because it was too hot.

The clones
The clones seem to enjoy the microclimate they are in, shaded not to much heat and all together. Some have very small pots and are starting to stress. The intention behind leaving some in the really small pots is to stress the pheno into making male stamens to selfpolinate. Another experiment on the go, the way I am thinking it will happen is I got a couple of serious stressors coming to the clones, leaving them in small pots to flower has root bound, drought, cold nights (later), and I will break the apial dominant branch. If i can get them to selfpolinate I have a seed to start my breeding test later. I know, I know, "HERMIE" dont panic; so much conversation going on about reversing a pheno and feminized seeds... Lets see how it can or cant be done, with out the chemical stress. At the end of the day no matter how you get the plant to reverse and self polinate, its about the same outcome from my point of view. I havent seen a single test yet that debunks forced selfpolination in plant will pass hermie gens to the next generation. If I get the seeds I will be open about it and follow up with a journal to sprout a good portion of seeds to see if in fact they are female plants.

Chunky Skunk
(in veg)

She is doing great, not one sign of preflowers gets me thinking late september harvest for this one. She got a pruning of lower growth, lots of it is just too risky to leave on. She is just about 3x3x3 ft

All clear down here.
IMG_4134.jpg

Pointing at the last bent point on the apical dominant cola. She is a fighter.
IMG_4135.jpg

This is a side branch, thats the point where I am bending. This branch looks great, once she fills up its going to be a nice bud.
IMG_4140.jpg

Previous bending point, and look at all the side branching shooting up.
IMG_4141.jpg

This is a new bending point at the top main cola. Im overthinking about it since it opened up the plant fiber and exposed, so potential risk.
IMG_4142.jpg

Hit everything on her.
