Van Stank's Nukehead Sponsored Grow

Yeah I've got this T8 fixture in my cloning tent. Definitely thinking of converting or changing over to a low powered LED in there too. The fluorescents definitely stretched my girls out wayyy more than Im used to with the LEDS. Less work is less work lol.

Loving the node spacing Van. Super jealous already!

Yeah I am loving how tight her node spacing is so far. I usually only keep my seedlings under the T5 for 10 days or so before exposing them to LEDs. I am toying with the idea of changing out my downstairs tent. I am thinking about picking up a 2'x4'x5' tent. It would give me an extra foot of height and I am thinking about making a separate shelf in the tent for clones/seedlings and the ability to have both the Dwarf Star and the T5 in one tent. It will also give me 8 square feet of grow space compared to my 4 square feet. Just looking for the tent with the vent points and exhaust points where I want/need them.

I’m pretty excited to use my perfect sun Led in the veg cab I love the spectrum. Van I think you can change the white balance with a piece of printer paper. Either way they’re both looking great, glad lil one got her ass in gear! I like the plan to top an extra round on the big gal should allow time for lil gal to catch up a bit.

The white balance of the light?? How do you do that? LOL, I just turned the thing on and got out of the way!

An extra topping will only benefit her

They will definitely be getting plenty of toppings with the main-lining. 3 bouts of toppings for the one that i will bring to 8 colas and 4 bouts of toppings to bring the big girl up to 16 colas.

She needs no help getting fat and looking at those leaves, the 16 colas will probably still be nearly as fat as the 8 as long as the root system can support it. This strain loves abuse, she loved every cut!

I am glad to hear that. They definitely have the fattest leaves I have seen. Nukehead #1 (little one) is showing the double serrated leaves. Not showing it on Nukehead #2 though. #2 is definitely impressing me thus far. If she continues like she is, I will be taking several clones and will cross one with ATF and make feminized beans from another one. Might keep another one around for an additional run as well.

I will be running #2 in 10 gallon pots so I don't think there will be an issue with supporting the roots. Not sure if I will run #1 in 10 gallon or go smaller with 7 or 8 gallon pots.

Not bad for 20% humidity huh LOL. I might break out my small humidifier tomorrow. Its perfect for a small tent. Wonder how much better it will grow if I can get my RH up to 30-40%. Its always tough starting them in the winter. Good to see you swing through Gramps! Hope you are having a great afternoon brother!

Suggest putting that humidifier inside veg tent....see if you can get rH above 50%. :Namaste:

Yeah I have to dig it out. Its on my to do list but I have been honestly avoiding anything that requires me to do much bending. It should do well in that small tent. Thanks for the input and swinging by BL! Hope you have a great weekend brother!

I have to run one in my veg phase. I use one of the newer ultrasonics that holds 3 gallons. That usually nets me 50-60% for 24 hours. Without it I drop into the 20's.

Yeah I tend to reside around 16-24% most of the time in the winter

Veg Day 14 Update - Transplant Day for Nukehead #2

Hey everybody!! (Any one watch 2 Broke Girls??) I love that show. Its so wrong in so many ways, just our type of show! Anyways, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Decided I needed to transplant Nukehead #2. I was having to water her every day in her solo cup and I hate having to work that much LOL. So I grabbed the final pics of her in her solo as well as the process that I use to transplant.

Here they are in their tent. I moved the small humidifier in there. Raised the RH about 10% from 16% up to 26%. Honestly with what I have, thats about as high as I expect to be able to keep it as dry as it is outside. Regardless, I don't worry too much about the RH....I do what I can and don't fret over the stuff I can't change. Huge difference between the two plants, and the gap seems to be widening as they grow older. Thats good if this one turns into the beast I want her to be.

Nukehead #2 Roots (this is the stuff that usually we don't get to see, but are key to happy and healthy plants) You can see why I like using the clear solo cups. I get full access to monitor their development and I can choose to transplant when the time is right.

I am up-potting up to about 1 gallon pots. I fill the pot about halfway up with Stank Soil. I add some goodies for the roots (mykos) and then put the plant in and back fill around it with Coco-Loco.

And here she is all happy in her new home. I will give her a few days to recover before I show you any updated pics of her. She should explode with growth real soon.

Yeah I have to get a better humidifier.....and one that certainly holds more than this one does. It only lasts like 8 hours before I need to refill it.

Yeah they're both kicking ass.. ...but that #2 Is a deadringer for mother material......no?

So healthy and so cute when that age.

Yeah I love em when they are small. This one is going to start going through some serious training though.

Its certainly looking like it! I plan on taking a few clones from her for sure. One will eventually be selfed for some S1 seeds, another will be crossed with some ATF pollen for a Nuclear Thunderfuck and then another one to keep the genetics around for a while.

Totally worth keeping around, had I known just how amazing she would be at the midpoint of flower I would’ve just grown her out again for only bud. Sounds like an awesome plan though brother!

Yeah I am definitely looking forward to trying her smoke out. Hoping she is a huge yielder and would be good for oils. If she is.....well I will just make her a permanent part of my perpetual. Still have 4 more beans to try out too....might just do one at a time in the future and see what they produce.

Lookin awesome mr stank #2 will love her new home.. give her a few days like ya said and she will fill that pot up quick! Mother material for sure.. #1 has a great role model. ....

Hey Mr Toast, thanks for swinging through. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. She is already loving her new pot. She has grown quite a bit in just 24 hours. Going to give her two more days before I reveal the 'new' her. On a side note, #1 looks like she is finally getting her stride. She put on a bit of size today as well.

Veg Day 17 Update

Last update I had just up-potted Nukehead #2. Last night I looked at the roots on Nukehead #1 and decided she was ready. So both girls are now in 1 gallon (ish) pots and seem to really be doing well. The green is a really nice healthy green and now they have a chance to spread their roots! I watered them both with ACT last night and like usual they responded and showed me they appreciate it.

Nukeheads

Nukehead #1 - She started out slowly and took a while to outgrow her early funky leaves but she is really coming on fast the last few days. I expect to see huge growth with the transplant as well.

Nukehead #2 - She is becoming a truly squat beast. She is on her 7th node and stands less than 6 inches tall. I will be topping her back down to the 4th node tomorrow (just giving her one more day to recover from the transplant).

Yeah brotha, the DS is keeping those nodes close! Just how we like em lol, veg the hell outta her and you’ll get donkeys! I’m working with mini horse colas lol

Yeah between the T5 being less than 6 inches over the top for the first 2 weeks and the DS, these nodes are right on top of each other. Bondage and training should be starting soon brother! Thinking of Main-lining for one of them and a version of quad-lining on the other one. Not sure completely except for main-lining at least one of them.
