Good morning everyone I topped Mr. Lahey this morning. Can someone confirm they I did this right?
I just pulled it with my fingers.

Why not order some hydro gear online?
-sigh- ok I didn't mean specifically switch to DWC. I meant you can find better quality soil and additives that will produce overall better plants in a more controllable environment. Miracle grow will work...but not the best and good luck flushing that shit out at the end. But yeah I'd do more research and maybe not lash out when people give decent advice. You complained because there are no hydro stores in the deep South, so I suggested you look online. Peace.#dontwanttobeliketherestofyall
I have already invested in the soil setup plants are growing why would I switch to hydro now? I appreciate your input but not the type of feedback I'm looking for.
Best Regards,

Yup, looks right to me. Chopping the tops off of plants (or for that matter, even just plucking off leaves) always feels kinda wrong. But we are farmers who must manage their crops!
I use miracle grow too and its working great.. mixed it with perlite and peat moss .
I topped mine down a couple nodes this morning and felt like crying after I did lol but it had to be doneYup, looks right to me. Chopping the tops off of plants (or for that matter, even just plucking off leaves) always feels kinda wrong. But we are farmers who must manage their crops!
I spilled juice on this leaf a little bit and this is the leaf I did LST too. What does this look like to y'all? This is on Mr. Lahey?

Yeah it's been between 6 and 7. And I don't use loads of Pete moss only 10 percent 30 perlite and rest soil from wallyworldHey DirtBagg -- Not to run Swishaa's log into the weeds (ha!) but I'm curious if you have ever taken a pH reading from the runoff of some of your peat moss. Peat moss has a reputation for being very acidic, and the nursery tomato that I got that was potted in peat moss still has runoff in the 4's after months of watering with both pure water and pH 6-ish nutes. Just curious...
As soon as I cut the top off it started wilting in my hands not sure if that's a good sign or a bad signWhat always surprises and pleases me is how quickly a healthy plant responds to pruning, sometimes within a matter of hours.
