Using Mega Crop question

I would like to strongly recommend that you do not give straight water for the last week. The organic folks have shown us that the plants finish out best and best express their full genetic traits, only when fed strongly right up to the end. Since this time is when the buds are finishing up, the plants can actually use more nutes in that last two weeks than ever before in the grow, but bro science has us all convinced that we should starve our plants in the end. It makes no logical sense to do this. When you see that you are 2 weeks from the end and the buds are entering their final bud swell, do a 3x flush of your soil, just to clear it of any built up salts and left over nutes. This allows the roots to have their full ability to uptake water and nutes during this critical period. Then, feed right up to the day of the chop... even giving finishing nutes if you have them.... and this is when you correctly use the PK. Someday, do a side by side test where you starve one plant at the end and feed the other as I have described.... you will see.
i agree with you, just becasue the main branch is cut of it dosnt mean that the plant isn't alive and is not using the nutrients saved. However, even with temp and RH being at the proper levels, i am having a big guess that it makes the drying time slightly longer. I'd be interested to know your thought.

you are assuming that nutrients are saved... saved in the buds. The only thing saved is sugars that have been processed by the plant. This bro science nonsense of nutrients being left in the buds has been debunked. Yes, some growth and final development happens even after death. Seeds harden and mature. Trichomes continue to mature until dried into the curing zone. All of this happens naturally, nutrients or no... just like our hair and fingernails continue to grow after we die.

Regarding drying time... I much prefer a slow dry, it makes for a much more stable and deep cure when I finally get there. I water my plants when they need it, right up to the end, even when I put my plants in the dark... the more moisture I can have in the plant at the time of chop, the better.

So, surprising, eh? My thoughts were not at all what you imagined they might be?

Okay 420 family I have another question here...
A friend of mine was here last night and I showed him my plants, he has never grown cannabis before but he does do a lot of gardening. Anyway he told me to take all the leaves with damage off the girls. If I were to do that all the fan leaves would be removed because all of them are damaged some really bad. So the question is... Should I or should I not remove them? I know it's probably a dumb question, but I truly don't know and so far none of you have pointed me in the wrong direction. Please give me your direction and I will follow your lead. As you can see the damage is pretty bad but some of the leaves are picking up a little more color and some of them are falling off on their own. Plants 1 through 4... Advice please. If you need more pics just say the word and I'll take them from any angle you want to see.
Again thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

I was going to suggust that as well but don't remove it yet.
Just want your soil to get enough MC in it before you take those fan leaves out. mainly because I don't know how storng the last nutrients was. Also, when they are not in stress and recopt then you can cut those fan leaves off so that the nugs can get more light.

Now this was in hydro but in the first picture you can see all the bigger leaves are showing lockage and all the new leaves are fine. However, after taking the bigger leaves off the smaller leaves got hurt. Plant died
