Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic
a little drizzle as in its raining?
the holes around the side of the pot are these running along the very bottom edge you need to try and make sure the water can drain, your plant should recover quicker now you took the dish away, what another grower did is built a sort of shelter that he could cover his plant with when it was heavy rain, i think he used plastic and covered it in cling film as he didnt want the plant rotting due to heavy rain fall, so that might be something you can do if your going to get loads of rain, it wouldnt take much to build could use wood stakes and push them in the ground around the plant and then wrap cling film over like a lid a sort of plant umbrella or move the plant out the rain,
you really dont want the soil really soggy wet, this packs the soil down and prevents the roots getting any oxygen and this will cause root rot very quick and kill the plant, so the next couple of times the plant is watered it will now flush the nutes out the soil and they will then drain away, using that dish let the nutes sit in the dish and when the soil dried out it sucked it back up, but plants grown in soil are less likely to die on you due to over nute as you have a few days to sort it out, hydro grows have to be put right as soon as their is a problem else the plants will give up.
so i woudlnt use the dish again unless the weather had been really dry and hot then you could water the plant and then it could suck the water up it needs, over watering is the most common cause of plants not growing, your plants look ok and even though you had the nute problem you should be ok now the nute can be drained out, when you get some more nutes or bpn use it at half strength for the first few feeds and watch how the plant reacts if it seems ok then up the dose till your at full strength, dont use the guide on the bpn bottle use the guide on bpn's website and you should have no problems.
all been well your going to have some very big plants as your growing outside, but remember if your planning on keeping them in the pots then the bigger they got the more root bound it will get, they generally say its best to let the plant only grow twice as high as the pot unless you have a wide pot, having the plant have root bound problems will slow the growth and possibly kill the plant, so just bare that in mind, if it did start to get really big and 2 big for the pot then you could dig hole and cut the bottom off the pot and put it so far in a hole, you could leave say half the pot out the soil so you was only watering the plant when you watered but then the roots could grow out the bottom into the soil, or dig a deep enough hold and cut the pot away and plant it in ground,
as far as i can see from your plants they look healthy enough, i would use the bpn products when they come and only at half the dose, and if you notice any nute burn then flush the pot at once to wash it out then give it few days and try again with lower dose, from what ive read their have been no problems starting at half strength but some people went strait to full strength and they did notice nute burn so just bare that in mind
