Unknown Strain From Seed - First Time Grow

Temp and humidity become personal preferences. You will get to know what you like and
don't like with time.

On your first one I would let them hang for a few days. I would choose five days.
If the buds still feel wet on the outside, check them again the next day.
When the outside feels dry and the stems will still bend a little, throw them into jars.

Burp the jars often for a while once they are in jars. Don't be afraid to take the buds out of
the jars if it looks like you have too much moisture. Let them crisp back up and then throw
them back in the jars.

At first, you just want a cure and some good herb. As you do it a couple of times you get the feel
of what you like and what you do not like. It is more feel than anything. There is no "correct" way.
Just ways that work and ways that do not.

It is better to let them get a little too dry than to mold them. You can use dry weed.
Moldy weed you cannot.

You will be fine my friend. Just take it easy.

Cheers.

Damn insects.....well technically not insects anymore. I was just checking candy and I noticed something crawling so after closer inspection I noticed these things in the soil. After some research the closest thing I can find to resemble them are springtails.

Are springtails a concern? My plant is scheduled to be chopped saturday.

I think springtails are no bother . Even if they were and the plant has not shown any effects yet I wouldn't worry about it. Chop is soon.

Look into the paper bag drying method . It works well. Try with a portion of your harvest to find your favorite way. As well as trimmed vs untrimmed. Untrimmed sugarleaves. Prevent it from drying too fast and they protect the terpenea by folding over the buds when drying.

I never heard that term yet but I know east coast and west coast and down south and north as well all have different slang lol.

Thx ditchweed.....you think its cool to hang them in my closet the temp is about 70° constant but kinda dry air because of the heat. And is it a good idea to have a fan blowing on them or would that dry them out to fast

That is fine, but I would not have the fan blowing directly on them. Just some air
circulating around.

If it is really dry, they might dry faster. Just check them often.

This is where patience really comes into play. The cure.

If you are not sure, take them out of the jars and re-evaluate.

All part of the learning process. You pick things up quick. It will be second
nature to you in no time.

Cheers.

I keep a fan blowing but not right on them. Just to keep air movement. I try to stay around 70-75 degrees and Rh around 40. And dark I don't want to degrade THC from lights

Furthermore, if it does get too dry, you can always seal it back up with a piece of apple skin. This will help to rehydrate it without any nasty side effects.

So on my way out the door today I noticed my monthly package was delivered. This months theme is mardi gras. I got a cool t shirt with the nicknames of cannabis a mardi gras mask and beads, a mj addidas style sticker some j tubes and VEGAN wraps (I have no idea what VEGAN wraps are) and last but not least.....my favorite item this month is this nifty little 420 tray

No, position the fan to blow on a wall so the air just has movement. don't blow it directly on plant.
That's what I said to you brother have a fan but not on them. Temp 70 Rh 50-60. Let stems get cracked when bent then jar. I only cure for 2 weeks. But in that time I will put on drying rack for a night or 2. Then back in to jars. It's just getting the PLANT smell gone and release terepenes..So the internal oil gets released. And smell is amazing. Then I use boveda 62,. To maintain the much humidity during that time after cure.
