Unforgiven's - Picture-A-Day - Barney's Critical Kush - DWC

Looking good . I see you are adding h202 . If your using hydroguard the h202 will kill the beneficial bacteria . So it's one or the other .

i was actually wondering about that. plantacillin is the brand equivalent of hydrogaurd(i'm assuming) but this company uses them both??

also, i switched micro to the first nute i add, just seemed weird doing grow first.

i stayed on week one because of how high it was last week, glad i did adding the new stuff jumped it pretty high. but this morning she looks great, we'll see tonight after lights on.

have fun eh

Yeah you would like to think that if its in their line that it wouldn't cancel the other one out .

I'm with you on the micro first :)

She is looking mighty fine . She recovered from losing her head quite nicely .

hmmm it's apparently not in their product line.....but did they test some with this schedule??? now i'm wondering. that's got me wondering just how much testing this schedule was tested.

might have to send an email or make a phone call.

just paused to let the dogs out, in the middle of feeding the girls atm. update later.

have fun eh

Yes I would email them for sure .. H202 kills bacteria ..good bad or in different .

and on the 43rd day, god said....idunno, i wasn't here back then...lol

well upon opening the tent about an hour after lights on...tent was at 85.8, not bad, i like it, but...the res was sitting at 76.7. so since the new exhaust setup seems to be working, she got moved to the 5x5, and stats taken after her ice bath lol.

the stats......T: 81.6...RH: 43....PH: 5.9....REST: 65.6....PPM: 1800 and at that, it took forever to get to 1800, thought it was gonna time out.

she looks good tho, so i'm happy.....

there it is

She's looking good ! But did I read that right 85 degrees before lights on ? That's a little on the warm side wouldn't you say ?

hey hey everyone, thanks for looking in on us here.

no pain, 85.8 about an hour or so after the lights came on. and thus far, i have to say no, i like it. so far this grow, i've had the poorest yields ever. and there was 2 changes....both by doing one thing. using an led light. temps have stayed way too low in my opinion, and my experience, however meek it may be. i have had much better success with more heat.

so, what caused the poor yields?

room, soil, nutes, watering schedule have all been the same. the only change was the led. now, was it caused by the led or the lack of heat. the only one i have experience with is heat, as led is new to me.

so, that's why i've setup my exhaust the way i did. to add heat artificially to the 4x8 tent with led, while making the heat in the best way possible....light output in another tent, lol. increases plant count that way. and gives me a new playground to experiment in too.

the only other variable that comes to mind is the seeds are autos. it is my first auto grow. but the "claims" were 4-8 oz per plant. now allow for the fact that i am growing in 2 gallon pots so automatically you go to the bottom end as your high. (at least in my mind that worked) so now you should be able to see 2-4 oz per plant. i got 1 oz from #1, and 37.2 g from #2. and they were both nice looking plants. unlike some of the more sativa looking ones full of "popcorn".

wow, stopped typing to deal with dogs.....lost my train of thought. lol so i'll leave it there, mebbe i'll figger it later lol

Hmm ... Well it looks like you had two variables . Led and autos . No I have never grown autos or in soil . I have delt with heat and now I'm testing led's . Now for light intensity I do not have a fancy par meter . But I do have a lux meter to give me a ruff idea of how intense my lights are at the top of my plants.

What was your average temp during that grow?

In my experience the only thing that heat did was create more humidity in the grow room , more water uptake by the plants and the growth was more open . Not to mention bud rot during late flowering . When I'm talking about heat I'm talking about 85-90 degrees .

Since then I like my grows a where from 75-80 lights on and around 70 lights off.

I feel that your yields where due to strain and pot size and not necessarily temp. I could also have to do with light intensity or a combination of all three . The variables ..ugh. That's why with this new system I went with a basic nute line that I knew preformed , leaving only two variables for my plants , the lights and the system .

Is this in your other journal ? I'm sorry I haven't checked that one out yet but I will .

Edited - I see you are running a 600w equivalent that is 6 band ,240 piece ... In my 2x4 tent I am running 2 600w equivalents that are 9 band , 200 piece .

on day 44 here and she's doing fine with the tent move.

the stats......T: 80.6...RH: 48....PH: 6.0....REST: 67.7....PPM: 1780 nute plan is still workin.

thats it today folks

have fun eh

wow too tired to read this much lol. but i'll try.

leds and autos yep. that just might be the 2 main issues.

soil is how i started and stayed until recently. no lux or par meter. just my eyeballs, my hands and my brain.

average temp during which grow? the stated weights? if so, lowest i saw was 58 lights off, high was about 74 lights on. but normally around 70. which to me is just too cool. i've had grows in the 85-90 range and done great. never had bud rot.

i would agree that strain comes into play, as the dta is very unstable. pot size was my main shrinkage factor.

yep the led is the mars II 1200 watt. its on a light mover, so great coverage. intensity might be the issue.

nute line is the only line i have used, and have had good success with it.

the DTA is my other current journal yes.

hope i made some sense, doesn't feel like it tho, lol

Yes you made sense . I would love to have a night temp in the low 60's ..you can get some pretty color changes in some strains with those kinda night temps from flowers to pistil :) .

Edited - she is looking mighty pretty :)

You can get the same color changes from most strains by packing ice around the lower stem during the last two weeks before harvest. ;)

day 45 and on we go. she is doing fine. seems to like the temps in her new home. top'd up the res bout a quart.

the stats......T: 80.0...RH: 46....PH: 6.1....REST: 66.7....PPM: 1770
