Two Chocolope Plants Under Two Eshine LED Panels in Hydro

I am trying to get as slow a dry as I can, but I seem to not be able to get above 52% humidity in my basement with my little humidifier going full blast. Oh well it just means it will go to bag and then jar faster with the boveda packs

Beautiful buddy!

I do the same technique in drying: chop and hang. I don't manicure first either. Watching videos on YouTube a lot of people manicure then dry. Nice to see its not a foreign idea

I read somewhere that a lot of the plant's nutrients are stored in the leaves and stems(I agree with this which is why when I defol I usually leave a little bit of stem on as a reservoir), the reason people take the leaves and as much stem off as possible is so the buds 'use' the remaining nutrients they have in them trying to stay alive for as long as possible and then they die/ dry where if there is lots of leaf matter, apparently the buds continue sucking nutes from the leaves through the drying process and end out with that taste and residue when burnt. I'll try and find the article..

Ok so for fun - take a look at my pics and guess how many ounces it will be including bottom buds and not too much trimming of sugar leaves. In a week or whatever we will know how much total and see who guessed closest.

Find that article. That would be interesting to read.

I was under the impression when you cut and manicure your buds before drying the remaining chlorophyll in the plant drips all over the buds and degrades taste and potency.

Also leaving the foliage on allows for a slower more controlled dry. Giving the grower a larger margin of error.

My guess is...... 900 grams dried weight.

I don't guess much. I'm probably way off
