Turbo Bucket's Take On RADDWC: Grow Room Build-Up

The wife beat me to the first squish from the last batch of hash. She also smoked most of it lol. But the color is really nice, tastes great. It's amazing the flavor difference between rosin and alcohol extraction of the same hash.

I've never had consitrates before, but I plan on making some with this harvest. Would you recommend the Everclear method, or the rosin approach?

Not sure if it makes that big of a difference, but I do have the 190 proof Everclear.

I like rosin more than I like the everclear concentrates. It's solventless which is a plus. I also feel the taste is far superior. That being said the everclear stuff is still really good.

Where it becomes a no brainer is cost of processing. It takes a fair bit of alcohol for the process and it's gone when you're done. Unless you get some sort of recovery system which adds cost and processing time.

A rosin press isn't cheap but depending on how much everclear your buying it may not take long to equal the price of a press.

Seems like a waste of Everclear then... I'll probably just do the good old hair straightener and clamp until I "need" a press then. Thanks man.

The nice part or pain in the ass part, however your want to look at it, is by making and pressing the hash I end up with 3 separate concentrates. I have the bubble hash from ice water. And the rosin from pressing that. But I also get a bunch of hash oil from cleaning the bags, pressing screens and instruments, plus you can make oil from the pressed pucks. All from the leftover trim.

I was looking at making butter with my trim, as a friend suggested it. Making bubble hash sounds like more fun though. It's crazy how many options there are for processing cannabis. I feel like a kid In a candy store.

You ain't kidding. I made a bunch of butter, still have a bunch left. It's just as easy to make some butter with a little bit of hash. Or use hash or rosin to make butter or infuse the recipe. Haha.

Yeah man! Squish it!

It actually cost you for both a press and everclear. You make the everclear extract with your leftover pucks. But when you run your everclear, you’ll be running a lot of material through it. So the cost isn’t as big a deal.:high-five:
You win twice @ twice the price!
