Turbo Bucket's Take On RADDWC: Grow Room Build-Up

Thanks Dabs! Looks like your trip has had some pretty nice scenery so far.

The biggest problem with the setup will be people's expectations. Are you going to harvest a pound a pop hell no lol. Can you harvest 3-4 oz/month? sure. Hardcore pot heads could outsmoke the supply easily. But granny for her arthritis cream. Check. Uncle Bill for his special hockey brownies. Check. Or the ever increasing suburban toker can be that cannasnob they wanna be and grow their own top-shelf without ever having to park in a dispensary lot. Is it a system for everyone? Nope. Does it apply to a boat load of the new MJ people out there you betcha.

I know running a couple buckets help (s)ed me to better understand the growth cycle. And now I can use them to try different environmental conditions with my strains before I load up the main room so I know what environment they like best, or at least prefer.

With a vpd controller and say doc's Hi-brix kit, that's pretty bad Ass weed for like no work lmao.
Separate the temp and Rh controls, throw in some red/far red/blue on dimmers. Boom total F'ing control of what your plant does.

I don't however have a way to put them into a hot attic yet.
Cooling that small of a space is incredibly inefficient or requires @least daily user input if not twice daily. The best I can get with 80w of light (internal driver packaged Chinese cob) is 3°f over ambient room temp. Remote drivers I could easily hold ambient.

2 gal fabric pots fit great for allowing airflow, they sound small, but all my plants in the closet are in 2 gal so there's ample root space for the room they have. And hydro/aero is obviously an easy one just plop one of my hoods on any 3/5/7 gal bucket with net pot lid, install the latches and away you go.

I have a design for a carbon scrubber outlet on the 120mm fans to be 3d printed that uses a couple removable trays of activated carbon. And has a flange for a light snorkle for the flowering ladies.

Next project is an integrated lighting and environmental/system for tents based on the turbo-closet.

Today was the day for the Gigabud to get it's haircut.

Bit of a jungle in there.
One nap time and a bunch of clones later she looks presentable

11 finger beast
Will it root? Pretty tall test for the fog cloner

6 board phobo build going in. The 5 board setup was all good in the hood so I made some room and added the last board. 480w over 8sqft.:peace:

Quite a bit getting done on this side today. All the babies got new homes tonight.

I treated the soil with some Azos by Xtreme gardening as well as the usual great white.
Also trimmed up bagseed Barbie and threw some of them in the dirt. Cuttings from her are actually being requested through various channels, the crazy part is the people requesting it have never smoked her. Hell I've only smoked her sisters. Haha

They look happy to be in their new homes already!

Man come help me remodel the tub when I get back? I think I'm gonna upgrade to a 6 inch mixer flow from 4 inch. Or maybe add a duct booster. What do you think wiz? Just wanna up the extraction but maybe not pay for it with my next born....

Thanks SD!

If you can upgrade to a 6 in run do it for sure. If your stuck with 4 in duct you'll likely want something capable of higher static pressure than a booster. Being in a bath fan housing you can find some with pretty legit air flow numbers, that would eliminate dealing with the duct. Panasonic's are popular (they're quiet) but $$. Broan makes affordable units that last, they're more or less the standard around here. You can get them through home improvement stores. In the unlikely event of a failure replacement parts are readily accessible.

If you were looking to downsize the upcoming herd of dabpoles; Phresh has some inline carbon filters. :peace:

Well I'm running the 4 inch mixed flow Vivosun full blast with a scrubber but less than 2 feet from that its connected into the bathroom vent fan that helps pull air into the attic space. My thing is that will it do me much good to push air into the attic space or should I try and get an active exhaust going to vent the atroc space

Definitely get the air out of the attic. I would duct it out a wall if possible. Dumping warm moist air up there could create mold issues. Depending on how well the attic is sealed your fans may not be doing a whole lot right now. If the air has no where to go after the attic the fans won't do much. A 6in exhaust vent with a good backdraft damper tied into your existing fans would do a lot of good.

Ok cool. I mean I know it's not sealed. I can see the exhaust flap wide open, but I can't help but think if I could boost the air extraction of that space I could get much closer to my ambient temps.
