So I knocked tent #1 down to one irrigation cycle per day before I left for hunting camp Thursday night. Came back and boy are they floppy. I need to read up on the thread a little more but 7th week drought stress is supposed to increase resin yields. It mentions 50° leaf Wilt angle but the leaves aren't wilting with this cycle although they definitely want more water.
Little bit of a special run this round. I have 3 each from my two favorite and most frequently run strains gorilla Bomb and my Bagseed Barbie, as well as 3 purple Trainwreck. They are roughly equal within each strain but not across strains not a perfect comparison canvas but close.
I mention this because it will be a test run for our gracious sponsor @Vulx . I've been sitting on my sample for awhile now making sure the clones were going to give a good show, I finally have enough similarly sized and in enough quantity that were rolling. Each strain has one vulx plant and two normal plants.
The vulx amendment was added at 75g/gal to my normal soilless mix second time around promix HP(70%) with some Coco (20%) and coarse perlite (10%) added in. I like a variety of surfaces in my root zone. Not getting crazy with variables here I'm simply going to run everything the way I always do and see what kind of differences the added vulx makes. The soilless mix and frequent irrigation should prevent drowning the roots or any sort of buildup issues but I'll adjust as needed to keep them happy
They were fine this morning after four days of only the morning water cycle. And now tonight they have gone past slight Wilt to wilted haha. It's only the one big later flowering one that took it poorly but she takes up a third of the tent.
Prepping for chop. The big girl didn't recover over night. It's going to be almost impossible to get the top half of her to rehydrate at this point. The plants have flopped so far I can't let the fans oscillate anymore and they are pressing up against the sides of the tents creating conditions for bad stuff to happen. Rather than push it any further I'll take em down. I only wanted a few more days they are ripe enough.
Yup. Dad always says the best part is getting to watch me. While I've always enjoyed hunting with him, Now I finally get it. Watching her little eyes light up and the excitement in her voice as she proudly declared us the "best hunters everrr" was a really proud papa moment haha
Her little brother gets to take his first trip next year. They have been making me take them on nightly stuffed animal safaris since season opened here. I'm just happy they're learning what it takes to live in harmony with the land
Wish my X bonus daughter loved stuff like that as well. I hope I can take my hunting license before my 40th year... and I aint got much time left if so.
I'm worried the kickback from the rifles will fuck my neck up further, haven't got til that yet with the doctors.
