TrysHard's Single Blueberry Compact LST on the Cheap Grow in Coco

Looks like you have a great start to your LST :goodjob:
Thank you. I tied some more new branches today. New shoots are starting and I'm training them while they are still light green.

you are doing great, gonna get you the Black leather hood so you can be the S&M master hehe.
Got one, was my Halloween costume last year. This is fun, I hope to get a nice round plant with a bunch of zips.

Update on the single plant grow:
First a picture overview:

As you can see there is some new lights up. I bought some E27 Re/Blue Grow Lights off ebay. 5 15W LED's with 2 blue 2 red and 1 all spectrum 3w leds. They are kind of weak, tomorrow I am going to get some more clamp on fixtures so I can add back the two cfl's.

Here are some more training shots:

Bro omg i am so high on the BB wow. i dont care what kind of system you got. you have to try the boiling water to the roots. At this point the weed should have a nice mellow kick. nope i am stoned with energy happy laughing no pain i even forgot to eat. I swear the boiling water method is the way. you can call/email or whatever so i can explain better so we can match it to your system. Wow then i go blank. I am high and loving how it has already done allot of curing. I dont have a big smell yet 5-15 days from now it will stink good but at this point unreal. Did i mention lmao. oh yeah.

looks good im subbed
:welcome: Welcome, well there has been a little modification for this plant. I recently picked up some clones so I need the tent for them, but I had room in my main tent for the LST Blueberry. I will be putting it back into this tent when I harvest my main crop in a week.

So my other journal will see more activity than this one for a couple of weeks, you should check it out.

Its been a while since an update for my single plant soil LST grow. But I have a nice update today.

First the particulars:
Air Temp 79F
RH 40%

Nutrients today:
PH 5.9
PPM 1123
F Gro 1ml/G
F Micro 4 ml/G
F Bloom 5 ml/G
Roots Excelurator 1ml/G
GH Diamond Nectar 2.5 ml/g
GH Floralicious Plus 1ml/g
Liquid Cool Bloom 2ml/g
Molasses 5 ml/g

Since being moved into the Bloom Tent, the training has suffered some. Lots of shooting branches and popcorn growth showing up. I believe after this grow many of you who grow single plants will not cut off your popcorn too early. I think I have a way to turn all that popcorn into good high quality bud with some size. Just follow my pictures and steps coming up.

Just pulled it out of the bloom tent. It is all unruly on the side towards us, that side was against the wall so its flat and we have branches trying to reach the moon. On the positive side it is in really good health and likes what I'm giving it.

But when you pry it apart you see lots of the earlier training is still in effect:

P5194612.JPG

Then we have wayward branchs
P5194613.JPG

And popcorn style branches
P5194614.JPG

So when I get started I look the plant over and try to see where it wants to grow. I want to flex and bend the branches to where I want them to go but only if it doesn't stress it too much. My intent is never to have the fibers in the branches tear, just stretch a little at a time. So those popcorn branches I pulled them up and then used the big branch the coming from the left to hold them in place so that the tips of the popcorn branch will now get direct light.
P5194615.JPG

Like this the branch that now goes across the middle is hold up the popcorn branches. My intent is to weave the large branch in a circle around the plant and take the long skinny flexible popcorn branches and weave them inside the circle and to light. I will trim fan leaves that cover bud sites in the center.
P5194616.JPG

We have more popcorn branches
P5194617.JPG

Now they are tucked in and reaching light you can see the tuck in these next two shots

P5194619.JPG

Ok here is another section of the plant. I keep turning the plant so I have the best light to work with, that is why the background doesn't change. This little bucket setup with a two gallon on top a 5 gal puts it at the perfect height to work on. So anyway when I get this third of the plant I notice I have one of the nicer side branches broken. I must have done it yesterday or when I was pulling out of the tent. It was new and I wanted to fix it.
P5194620.JPG

Here you can see the kink in the branch
P5194621.JPG

Now I took the side branch from the limb right above the broken branch and bent it to meet the broken branch and tied them together. The other branch is acting as a splint for the broken one and it is now perfectly straight.
P5194622.JPG

You can kind of see the dimple, but the rest of the branch looks perfect, if I would have left it kinked it would died probably and I have plans for this branch.
P5194623.JPG

You can see the repair better here I circled the break

Also in this section there is a lot of popcorn

P5194627.JPG

So what I did was see the big branch in the middle. I pulled all the popcorn up tucked them inside of that branch and then tied it down across the middle to the other side. It was a side branch from one of the main branches and now it goes across the middle holding the popcorn up to the light and exposing multiple bud site to light.
P5194628.JPG

Here you see it hooked up and holding back the other branches.
P5194629.JPG

I took another branch and tied it together with the one going across the middle, this exposed lots of new bud sites.
P5194630.JPG

You can see the popcorn branches bent upwards
P5194631.JPG

In this picture the bending upwards is very apparent.
P5194632.JPG

Well I'm done with it now and the following series of picture will show you the change. Remember the first picture just out of the tent:
P5194610.JPG

I'm turning the plant in these next pictures to give you its new overall shape:

P5194637.JPG

And from above:
P5194638.JPG

Since the whole intent of this exercise is to maximize the bud sites exposed to light I took the last picture and circled all the bud sites I could see if I was the light, there are a few of them.

I hope this was worth the wait. Since my big blueberry grow is almost over, I will be moving this back to the little tent. DC420 is so nice and he is donating an LED to my cause and it will go into the little tent when I move this back and the GS Cookies into the big tent. The LED in the small tent should be perfect for this.

Good Night!

wow for a second i thought you was making a basket, we have to tuck this under then pull here hehe. looks great and great explanations. she is gonna produce nicely. okay going to chop my last BB which looks and smells so great.

Glad your back, this is my last BB but I'll have her for a while.

yeah my last BB is hanging i chopped her today after the boiling water then 12/12 for 3 days. Man is all i can say sticky again. the boiling water gives you the sticky sticky buds. Man i love it. never do another way again.
Your starting to convince me.

bro i swear on my private parts that you will love it. have you every harvested and they are so sticky i mean super sticky? well they are. you have to do 1 at least to compare. take the smallest one and do it. you will later say why didnt i do the biggest one lmao. you will. trust me. the really cool part is they are 40-60% dry when you chop and the cure is ongoing. this BB i am hanging her till she is dry, like around 65% rh then trim and jars. last BB i used the screen and i lost allot of the sticky from handling them to much. i did get allot of great keef from under the screen. The BB in the middle of the buds are still super sticky. i want this last one to be 100% sticky. this is gonna be my couch lock version. she is smaller than the last one and will yield around 4 oz when cured and done.so this grow is around 1lb 3 oz till the c99 is done.

Sorry for no update in a while, but now being down to just two grows, I'm back to concentrating on this one. I hope I am going to have enough room in the little tent for this plant.

You can see that the bud sites are starting to develop nicely:

I replace 3 of the little LED's with CFL's as I feel they need more light, the little LED provide spectrum but I'm sure the PAR is low.
